Hotjar vs Google Analytics: when to use Hotjar?
Google Analytics tells you how many people do what (quantitative). Hotjar shows you how they do it and why (qualitative). GA says "30% abandon at checkout". Hotjar shows that it's because the payment button is hidden at the bottom right. Both are complementary. Does Hotjar slow down my site?

Can Hotjar be used for a mobile app?
Not directly. Hotjar only works on websites (responsive desktop/mobile). To analyze a native iOS or Android app, you need other tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, UXCam). However, if your app is a web app (PWA), Hotjar works perfectly.
