This page describes what hackceleration.comactually does with your data. It was written from the site's own code, not from a template.
Who the controller is
HACKCELERATION, a French simplified joint-stock company, Les Minimes, 14 rue Jean Perrin, 17000 La Rochelle, France. Company number SIREN 994 494 326. Contact: hello@hackceleration.com.
No data protection officer has been appointed, as the activity does not require one. Requests are handled at the address above.
What you give us
When you fill in a form on the site, a quote request, a contact request, a newsletter sign-up, an automation download or a training registration, the following is stored:
- your email address, always;
- depending on the form: company, first name, last name, phone number and the description you write yourself;
- the page you submitted the form from, and that page's language.
Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract, for a quote or a contact request. For the newsletter, your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through the unsubscribe link in every message.
What the site records alongside
When a form is submitted, the site also records your IP address, your browser, the country inferred from the connection, the language your browser declares and the page that referred you. This is used to handle the request, to filter out automated submissions and to understand where requests come from.
Audience measurement
The site runs an in-house measurement tool alongside Google Analytics 4. Both start working as soon as a page opens.
The in-house tool
It sets or reads:
- a cookie named hc_uid, not readable by page JavaScript, which follows a visit from one page to the next;
- an identifier named hc_lsid stored in your browser's local storage, which takes over when the cookie expires;
- a browser fingerprint, computed in your browser on your first click or after five seconds on the page, from your device's technical characteristics. It ties visits together even without a cookie.
The following events are recorded:
- which pages you open, their address and when
- how far down a page you scroll, and when you leave it
- clicks on links, including links leaving the site
- clicks that do nothing and repeated frustrated clicks, used to find broken pages
- text you copy
- opening a form, changing a field and submitting it
- page rendering performance measurements
- any missing pages you land on
When you submit a form, those events are attached to your email address, which shows which pages were read before the request.
Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics 4 measures site traffic. It sets its own cookies and sends data to Google Ireland Limited, with possible transfers to the United States.
Worth knowing: this site has no consent banner today. The measurement and the browser fingerprint described above therefore start without your prior agreement having been collected, which does not meet the requirements the French data protection authority sets for non-essential trackers. A consent mechanism is planned.
In the meantime you can opt out right now: block third-party cookies in your browser settings, install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on, or clear this site's local storage from your browser tools. You can also write to hello@hackceleration.com and ask for the data already collected about you to be deleted.
Affiliate links
Some pages link to third-party tools. Following one of those links takes you to that vendor's site, which applies its own privacy policy and may set its own trackers. HACKCELERATION receives no personal data about you from those vendors, only commission information where applicable.

Transfers outside the European Union rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, or on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for processors certified under it.
Your data is never sold, rented, or passed to third parties for advertising.
How long we keep it
- Quote and contact requests: three years from the last exchange.
- Newsletter: until you withdraw consent, then three years to keep proof of the unsubscribe.
- Browsing data and events:25 months, following the French data protection authority's guidance on audience measurement.
- Accounting records tied to an engagement: ten years, the statutory retention period.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to and port your data, and to set instructions on what happens to it after your death.
To exercise them, write to hello@hackceleration.com. You will get an answer within one month. If that answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to the French data protection authority (CNIL), 3 place de Fontenoy, 75007 Paris, or through cnil.fr.
Security
Traffic to and from the site is encrypted. Form data is stored in a database with restricted access, and the identification cookie cannot be read by JavaScript running in the page, which limits its exposure.
Changes to this page
This policy is updated whenever the site changes what it processes, which tool it uses or which processor handles the data. The date at the top shows the last revision.
