What changes when Claude can see your credit factors
A credit score on its own says little about why it sits where it does. With the connector, you ask Claude what is pulling it down, and it fetches the breakdown from Credit Karma: the factors that shape the score and how you are rated on each, so the conversation can start from your real numbers.
See which factor weighs most. Ask Claude to go through your profile and it calls get_credit_factors, which returns payment history, credit utilization, credit age, credit mix, new inquiries and total accounts, each with your rating.
Turn the ratings into a plan. Once those ratings sit in the chat, you can ask Claude to explain each one in plain words and suggest where to act first. The listing presents this as the purpose of the tool: helping you take steps toward a better score.
Now what the connector does not do. Its sheet lists one tool, and no source describes disputing an entry, changing anything in your credit file, or touching your Credit Karma account. Nothing runs by itself either: Claude reads your factors when you ask, not when a score moves. Keeping watch automatically is the job of an automation tool, a different trade; the Integrations hub covers that side. Credit Karma's own help article about Claude could not be read when we checked, so the directory sheet is the only description behind this page.
Five words before you connect
The Claude vocabulary this page relies on, in under a minute.
- Connector
- The link you set up once between Claude and an account you already have, so Claude can work in it while it answers you.
- Tool
- One named action the connector hands to Claude. Claude picks the ones it needs by itself; the directory sheet lists them by name.
- Authorization
- The service's own sign-in screen, where you grant the access Claude will use afterwards. Given once per person, and revocable.
- Approval
- The confirmation Claude waits for in the chat before it goes ahead with something that would change your account.
- MCP
- The open standard connectors are built on: it is what lets an assistant like Claude talk to an outside service such as Credit Karma.
Connect Credit Karma to Claude in three steps
- 01
Find Credit Karma in Claude
Open Claude's settings, go to Customize then Connectors, and look up Credit Karma in the list. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner has to enable the connector before members can each sign in.
- 02
Start the connection
Click Connect on its row, then sign in to Credit Karma in the window the service opens itself. If the link breaks later, use Disconnect and connect again from the same row.
- 03
Read the authorization screen
Check the screen Credit Karma shows before you accept it. It belongs to the service, not to Claude, and it is what sets what the access covers. Access granted there can also be withdrawn later from the Credit Karma side.
The single tool, and what it returns
Intuit Credit Karma gives Claude 1 tool: 1 that read your account, 0 that change something in it.
One tool carries this connector. Its name stays exactly as Claude shows it.

What Claude reads (1)
1 toolA tool that reads your credit factors and changes nothing.
get_credit_factors
Brings back the breakdown of what shapes your credit score: payment history, utilization, age of credit, mix, recent inquiries and number of accounts, with how you are rated on each one. Claude can then talk you through the weak spots.
What Claude checks with you first
By default, Claude stops and asks before each action it takes on an account in your name. The only tool here reads, and no source describes a confirmation specific to it.
On Team and Enterprise workspaces, owners decide whether a member may let some actions through without a prompt each time. They can also limit what a connector may do across the organization, for instance keeping reading on and writing off, and nobody overrides that from a personal account. Claude works with the rights of the person who connected and nothing more: it sees your own credit factors, not anyone else's.
Which plans include it
None of the 819 sheets in the official directory shows plan availability. The answer, connector by connector, is published nowhere.
What is published is the general rule: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile, and desktop extensions install on Claude Desktop. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner opens a connector for the organization before members can each connect. For the live state, the Intuit Credit Karma sheet in the official directory is the place to look.
Where this connector stops
A connector is not an automation. Claude calls the tool while it answers you, so nothing fires when a new inquiry lands or a balance changes.
The material here is thin: the directory sheet describes the tool, and Credit Karma's help article could not be read when we checked on October 1, 2026. By default the sheet exposes reading only, and a tool list is an observed floor, not a promise. The partner badge is not a security audit, and Anthropic states on every sheet that it neither chooses a publisher's tools nor guarantees how they behave.
