Overview

What changes when you design an interface

You stop switching tabs to type keywords into Mobbin. You describe the design problem to Claude instead, it runs the search in Mobbin's library on its own, and it brings back examples from apps and sites that already shipped, with the product name and a link to the matching Mobbin page so you can check the source.

Pin down one screen state. search_screens looks for individual mobile or web screens built around one pattern: a login, an empty state, a dialog, a form.

See a whole journey in order. search_flows returns ordered, multi-step flows (onboarding, identity checks, subscription, cancellation) where the sequence matters as much as any single screen.

Assemble a marketing page. search_sections targets website building blocks such as heroes, pricing tables, testimonials, navigation and footers. Depending on the search, results can include screen images, product names and links back to Mobbin, and a client that supports MCP Apps shows them as a gallery.

What Claude won't do here: Mobbin says the tools it publishes today retrieve references and never create, change or delete anything in your Mobbin account. Nothing runs on its own either, every search starts from a message you send. Background jobs that fire on an event belong to automation tools, a different job, and you'll find those on the Integrations hub.

Vocabulary

Five words before you start

Learn these once and the rest of the page reads easily.

Connector
The link you set up one time between Claude and an account you already have, so Claude can work with it while it replies to you.
Tool
A single named capability a connector hands to Claude. Claude decides which ones to call, and the directory sheet lists every one by name.
Authorization
Mobbin's own sign-in screen, where you give Claude the access it will use afterwards. Granted once per person, and you can take it back.
Approval
The confirmation Claude waits for before it finishes something that changes your account, shown in the chat right when it matters.
MCP
The open standard connectors are built on. It's what lets an assistant like Claude talk to an outside service such as Mobbin.
Connect

Set up the Claude Mobbin connector in three steps

  1. 01

    Find Mobbin in your settings

Open Claude's settings, go to Customize and then Connectors, and locate Mobbin in the list. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner has to switch it on before members can sign in individually.

  2. 02

    Start the connection

Hit Connect on the Mobbin row, then log in with your Mobbin account in the window Mobbin opens itself. If the link ever breaks, use Disconnect and plug it back in.

  3. 03

    Check the authorization screen

Read Mobbin's screen before you accept. The service, not Claude, sets what the access covers. Later on, the MCP page in your Mobbin account settings lists connected clients and lets you revoke one.

Tools

All 3 Mobbin tools, and what each one searches

Mobbin gives Claude 3 tools: 3 that read your account, 0 that change something in it.

Three searches, one per kind of reference. Tool names stay exactly as Claude shows them.

What Claude can look up (3)

3 tools

Three ways to query Mobbin's library. None of them changes your account.

search_flows

Pulls multi-step journeys in the order users actually see them, for questions where context from one step to the next matters.

When it helps
you're redesigning account setup and want to compare how many screens other products put before the first useful moment.

search_screens

Finds standalone mobile and web screens for a specific state or pattern, from a login page to a navigation treatment.

When it helps
you want several examples of a notification-permission screen to compare side by side.
Watch out
Mobbin itself warns that a shipped design proves usage, not that it lifted conversion.

search_sections

Targets page composition on websites, one block at a time: heroes, pricing sections, testimonials, menus and footers. You see how real sites stack their arguments.

When it helps
your pricing page has four tiers and you need examples of feature comparison tables that stay readable.

Approvals

What Claude checks with you first

By default, Claude stops and asks before every action it takes on an account for you. Here, all three tools are searches.

No source describes a Mobbin-specific confirmation, so the default rule covers all three tools. On Team and Enterprise, workspace owners decide whether members may let some actions through without being asked each time. They can also restrict a connector for the whole organization, keeping reads and closing writes. Claude also works with your Mobbin access and nothing beyond it: whatever your own login can't open stays closed in the chat as well.

Plans

Which plans include it

None of the 819 sheets in the official directory shows plan availability. Connector by connector, that information isn't published anywhere.

The general rule is public: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner enables the connector for the organization before members connect one by one. For Mobbin's current status, its sheet in the official directory is the one place to check.

Limits

Where the Mobbin connector stops

A connector isn't an automation. Claude calls these searches while it's answering, and nothing kicks off when Mobbin adds new screens to its library.

Only the publisher documents this connector: neither Claude's help center nor Anthropic's docs have a page for it. Mobbin calls its published tools read-only, yet a read-only list is an observed floor, not a promise, since an admin can open actions no public sheet shows. The directory badge isn't a security audit, and Anthropic doesn't vouch for how a publisher's tools behave. Revoking happens on Mobbin's side, under Account Settings > MCP, and Mobbin says the client loses access immediately.

FAQ

Claude Mobbin connector: common questions

01What can Claude do with the Mobbin connector?
Claude can search Mobbin's design-reference library without leaving the chat. Its three tools cover single screens, ordered multi-step flows and website sections. Depending on the search, results can carry screen images, product names, flow or section context, and links back to Mobbin, so you can open each reference and judge it yourself before it shapes a decision on your own product. In clients that support MCP Apps, results can also appear as an interactive gallery.
02Can Claude change or delete anything in my Mobbin account?
Not with the tools published today, according to Mobbin. The publisher describes the current tool set as read-only: it retrieves design references and doesn't create, modify or delete account content. All three tools on the sheet are searches. Treat that as an observed floor rather than a guarantee, because an admin can enable actions that don't appear on any public sheet. Its three tools search screens, flows and website sections.
03Does Claude ask before it runs a Mobbin search?
No source describes a confirmation specific to Mobbin's tools, so Claude's general rule applies. By default, Claude stops and asks before each action it takes on an account on your behalf. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, owners decide whether members can let certain actions through without being asked every time, and they can restrict the connector for the whole organization. No exception is documented anywhere for Mobbin's three searches.
04Which Claude plans support the Mobbin connector?
No official source publishes plan availability connector by connector, and none of the 819 directory sheets shows it. The general rule says remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile, with an Owner or Primary Owner enabling them on Team and Enterprise. Mobbin's directory sheet is the place to check current status, and on Mobbin's side you also need an eligible subscription before any search returns results.
05Does Claude see everything in my Mobbin account?
Claude works with your access and nothing more. It goes through the connection you approved on Mobbin's screen, so anything your account can't reach stays out of reach for Claude too. You also keep control on Mobbin's side: the MCP page in your account settings lists connected clients and lets you revoke one, and Mobbin says access ends immediately when you do. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, owners can additionally restrict what the connector may do for everyone.
06Why does Claude pause during a long batch of Mobbin searches?
Because Mobbin caps usage at 60 requests per 60 seconds per user. Fire off a lot of comparisons in the same minute and you can hit that ceiling, which the publisher sets, not Claude. The figure comes from Mobbin's own MCP page, updated in September 2026. The three search tools all count toward it, whether Claude is looking for single screens, multi-step flows or website sections. They share the same allowance.
07Claude or an automation tool for Mobbin?
They solve different problems. Claude works inside a conversation: you ask a design question, it searches references, and nothing runs outside the conversation. An automation tool runs a task in the background whenever an event happens. One answers a question asked in the moment, the other runs a triggered or scheduled task: they are not two versions of the same service, and neither replaces the other. Pick by the job, not by a ranking.
