What changes when Claude can query Supermetrics
Supermetrics' directory description covers querying data, analysing performance and managing ad campaigns across many platforms. With the connector, you ask Claude in plain words: it finds the right data source and fields, runs the query through Supermetrics, collects the result and works with the numbers in the conversation. With write access switched on, it can also create ad campaigns, which Supermetrics always starts paused.
A cross-platform performance read. Claude checks which sources exist with data_source_discovery, picks metrics through field_discovery, then runs data_query and collects the output with get_async_query_results.
Reviewing campaigns before touching them. campaign_and_resource_get lists campaigns, gives their details and explores related resources, so you see the structure before deciding anything.
Launching or adjusting a campaign. manage_campaign creates a campaign with its ad groups and ads, or updates an existing one, including enabling, pausing or removing parts of it. Supermetrics always creates new campaigns paused for review.
What it will not do without setup: campaign changes need write actions enabled for each ad account on the Supermetrics side. Several tools are still in beta, two on the directory sheet are described nowhere, and nothing runs by itself: Claude acts only while it answers you. The Claude connectors hub lists other marketing connectors, and the Integrations page covers the automation platforms.
Five words before you connect
The Claude vocabulary behind this connector, in one minute.
- Connector
- The link you set up once between Claude and an account, so Claude can work with it while it answers you in a conversation.
- Tool
- One named thing the connector lets Claude do on that account. Claude chooses the ones it needs, and the directory sheet lists them by name.
- Authorization
- The Supermetrics sign-in screen where you give Claude the access it will use afterwards. Granted once per person, and it can be revoked.
- Approval
- The confirmation Claude waits for before it goes ahead with something that changes an account, shown in the chat when it matters.
- MCP
- The shared standard connectors are built on: it is what lets an assistant such as Claude talk to an outside service like Supermetrics.
Connecting Supermetrics to Claude in three steps
- 01
Find Supermetrics in Claude
Open Claude's settings, go to Customize then Connectors, and look for Supermetrics Marketing Analytics. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner enables it first so members can sign in one by one.
- 02
Start the connection
Click Connect on its row and sign in to Supermetrics in the window it opens. The publisher says no existing account is needed: one is created on first login with a 14-day trial. If the link breaks, use Disconnect and reconnect.
- 03
Read the authorization screen
Check the authorization screen before you accept. It is Supermetrics' screen, not Claude's, and it sets what the access covers. You can also withdraw that access later from your Supermetrics account.

Supermetrics Marketing Analytics gives Claude 14 tools: 7 that read your account, 5 that change something in it, and 2 no official source describes.

Tools index
What Claude reads (7)
7 toolsSeven tools that discover sources and fields, run queries and look at campaigns without altering anything.
data_source_discovery
Browses the catalogue of platforms Supermetrics can pull from and what each one supports in metrics and dimensions, so Claude knows where your numbers can come from.
accounts_discovery
Finds and validates the accounts connected for a given data source, which tells Claude which ad accounts or properties it may query for you.
field_discovery
Lists the fields, metrics and dimensions available for one data source, with recommendations, so a query asks for things that actually exist.
data_query
Runs an asynchronous query against Supermetrics with status tracking, across one or several accounts, and returns marketing performance data for the dates and filters requested.
get_async_query_results
Retrieves the output of an asynchronous query using its schedule identifier, once Supermetrics has processed it.
get_today
Gives the current date in several formats so that relative periods such as last week or month to date turn into exact query parameters.
campaign_and_resource_get
Lists campaigns, gives the details of one and explores the resources related to it, across Google Ads, Meta Ads, Microsoft Ads, TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Ads, ChatGPT Ads and Snapchat Ads.
What Claude can change (5)
5 toolsFive tools that invite people, contact Supermetrics, store context, publish dashboards or manage campaigns. No source describes a confirmation of its own: the general rule below applies.
contact_supermetrics
Approval: see the ruleSends product feedback to Supermetrics, or opens a support ticket or a sales enquiry, on your behalf from the conversation.
manage_user_and_team
Approval: see the ruleShows your profile, licence, team members and pending invitations, invites a new colleague by email and role, or produces a login link to connect a data source.
manage_dashboards
Approval: see the ruleUploads live dashboards to Supermetrics Studio, edits their code with targeted patches, or retrieves one with its version history. The pages re-query data on each view and can be shared by link.
manage_campaign
Approval: see the ruleCreates an ad campaign with its ad groups and ads in one call, or updates an existing one, including enabling, pausing or removing campaigns, ad groups and ads.
manage_business_context
Approval: see the ruleStores, retrieves or deletes durable team context, such as guidelines, policies and preferences, at a given scope, and shares it with all members so it is applied consistently.
Not documented (2)
2 toolsListed by name on the directory sheet, described by no official source. Nothing more is said about them here.
resources_manage
The directory sheet lists this name, but Supermetrics' documentation has no entry for it and no other official source describes it. What it reads or affects is therefore unknown, and this page does not infer it. Any call to it falls under the general approval rule set out below.
supermetrics_guide
Only its name appears, on the directory sheet; Supermetrics' tool documentation skips it and no official text says what it does. Nothing is claimed here about whether it consults or alters anything. The default approval rule of the block below covers it like every other call.
What Claude asks before acting
By default, Claude stops and asks for your go-ahead before any action it takes on an account in your place. That matters here, since five tools can change campaigns, dashboards, team context or invitations.
On Team and Enterprise workspaces, owners decide whether a member may let some actions through without being asked again, and they can bound what a connector may do for the whole organisation, keeping reads and closing writes for instance. Nobody bypasses that from their own account. Claude also works with your rights only: Supermetrics says user sign-in limits access to the account's own permissions. On top of that, campaign edits stay off until write actions are enabled per ad account.
Which plans include it
None of the 819 sheets in the official directory displays availability by plan. Connector by connector, the answer is published nowhere: it is a real gap in the catalogue.
What is published is the general rule: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner enables the connector for the organisation before each member signs in. For the current state of this one, check its sheet in the official directory. Note that only Supermetrics documents it; no Claude help article covers it.
Where the Claude Supermetrics Marketing Analytics connector stops
A connector is not an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers you: no report goes out on its own unless someone asks for it.
The tool list is an observed floor, not a promise: an administrator can open actions that no public sheet shows. The partner badge in the directory is not a security audit, and Anthropic says on every sheet that it does not choose the tools a publisher exposes and cannot guarantee they behave as announced. Connect only what comes from a publisher you trust, here Supermetrics, whose own documentation is the only one describing these tools.
