HappSales Make integrationAutomate HappSales with Make.

Every lead that lands somewhere else can reach HappSales on its own. The HappSales Make integration gives you 2 modules, both actions. This guide is for sales and ops people who know their CRM, and it walks you from the connection to a first working scenario.

What you can automate

What can the HappSales Make integration do for you?

The HappSales Make integration lets Make write into your HappSales account without you copying anything by hand. Make runs a scenario, meaning the automation you build as a chain of bricks, and HappSales receives the result: a fresh lead, or any request its API accepts.

Capture leads from your website. A contact form in another app starts the scenario, and the Create lead module turns each submission into a lead in HappSales. Your reps open the CRM and the prospect is already there.

Hand over leads from events or campaigns. Any app Make can read, a spreadsheet of trade show contacts or a list from your emailing tool, can feed Create lead one row at a time. Each row travels as a bundle, one item passed from one module to the next.

Reach what the listed modules skip. The Make an API call module calls any endpoint of the HappSales API with the same connection, so reading or updating other records stays possible once you know the request.

Know the limits before you start. HappSales has no trigger in Make, so the scenario always starts from another app or from a schedule, and Make itself warns that its HappSales documentation is limited for lack of public information. If you want the bigger picture on the platform first, read the Make review, or weigh the two tools with n8n vs Make. Stuck on a failed run? Make troubleshooting covers the usual errors.

Connect

How do you connect HappSales to Make?

  1. 01

    Add a HappSales module

In your scenario, click the +, search for HappSales and pick Create lead. Then click Create a connection. A connection is your HappSales account linked to Make once, then reused by every HappSales module.

  2. 02

    Name it and authorize Make

Give the connection a name you will recognize later, like the account or team it belongs to. Then follow what HappSales asks: either approve Make on the HappSales page that opens, or paste the key HappSales gives you.

  3. 03

    Save and check the fields

Click Save. The connection is now stored, and the module shows its fields. Once the connection exists, Make can list what it reads from your account instead of asking you to type it.

First scenario

Your first scenario: form entries become HappSales leads

GoalWhen someone fills in a form in another app, Make creates the matching lead in HappSales.

  1. 01

    Create the scenario

Open the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the +. Pick the app that collects your prospects, such as your form tool, and choose the module that watches new entries.

  2. 02

    Connect the source app

Click Create a connection for that first app and fill in its fields. Make lists the forms or sheets it can read, so you pick yours from the menu instead of typing an ID.

  3. 03

    Add Create lead

Click the + on the right of the first module, search HappSales and pick Create lead. Use the HappSales connection you set up above.

  4. 04

    Map the prospect data

Click into each HappSales field and pick the matching value from the form module, so each piece of the prospect lands in the right place. Make shows the data from the previous module as tags you click.

  5. 05

    Test with Run once

Submit one test entry in your form, then click Run once. Read the bundles each module received, and check in HappSales that the lead appeared with the right details.

  6. 06

    Schedule and switch on

Click the clock on the first module to set the schedule, every 15 minutes by default, then switch the scenario on. From now on, new form entries become leads without anyone copying them.

Modules

What the HappSales modules do

HappSales gives you 2 modules. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

HappSales1

Create lead

ActionIn the docs only

This action puts a new lead into HappSales, built from whatever data the earlier modules carry: a form entry, a spreadsheet row, a contact from another tool.

When to use it
any time a prospect shows up outside the CRM and your team wants it in HappSales without retyping it.
Watch out
the module runs once per bundle, so a test with Run once creates a real lead; clean up test records afterwards.
HappSales2

Make an API call

ActionIn the docs only

With this module you reach any endpoint of the HappSales API, reusing the same connection, so the scenario can do more than create leads.

When to use it
you need to read, update or send something that Create lead does not cover and you know which request HappSales expects.
Watch out
Make has little public documentation on HappSales, so get the endpoint details from HappSales before building around it.

FAQ

Questions about the HappSales Make integration

01Is the HappSales Make integration free?
Yes, you can start on the Make Free plan. HappSales is a standard app, available on every plan, so both modules work without upgrading. The Free plan has limits you will feel as you grow: 2 active scenarios, at least 15 minutes between two scheduled runs, 5 minutes of execution at most per run and files up to 5 MB. Paid plans lower the interval to 1 minute and remove the cap on active scenarios. Make counts usage in operations, one execution of one module on one bundle.
02What do you need to connect HappSales to Make?
You need a HappSales account and a Make account, nothing more than the documentation names. You add a HappSales module, click Create a connection, optionally name it, then either approve Make on the HappSales page or paste the key HappSales provides, and click Save. Make notes that its HappSales documentation is limited, so if the authorization screen asks for something unexpected, the HappSales team is the right place to ask which access your account needs.
03Does the HappSales Make integration react in real time?
Not by itself, because HappSales has no trigger in Make. Both of its modules are actions, so the scenario starts elsewhere. You can open it with a trigger from another app, such as a form or a spreadsheet, and then HappSales follows at that app's pace. Or you set a schedule on the first module, every 15 minutes by default, with a minimum of 15 minutes on the Free plan and 1 minute on paid plans.
04What if the HappSales module you need is missing in Make?
Use Make an API call. It calls any endpoint of the HappSales API with the connection you already have, so reading or updating other records does not require a new integration. The catch is knowledge rather than access: Make says it cannot fully document HappSales for lack of public information, so ask HappSales for its API details first. If that route stalls, another app Make supports can take over part of the job.
05Should you use Make or n8n for HappSales?
It depends on how you want to build. On Make, HappSales gives you two actions, Create lead and Make an API call, and you can start on the Free plan with a visual editor. Many apps also have an n8n node, so check whether one exists for HappSales before choosing. Compare what each tool offers for this app, the modules or node available and how you would call the API, rather than picking on reputation.
