What you can automate

What can the KlipLink Make integration do for you?

The KlipLink Make integration lets a Make scenario, the automation you build as a chain of modules, work on your KlipLink links for you. Each module is one brick of that chain, and all six KlipLink modules are actions: they act on a link when something earlier in the scenario tells them to.

Links that appear as soon as the content exists. Put a trigger from another app first, for example a new row in the sheet where your campaigns are planned, then add Create a link. Each new row becomes a KlipLink link without anyone copying and pasting.

Links that stay in step with your plans. When a campaign changes, Update a link edits the existing link, and Get a link reads a link back so a later module can reuse its details. Delete a link cleans up what no longer belongs in your account.

Everything the list does not cover. Make an API call reaches any endpoint of the KlipLink API with the same connection, which is the way out when none of the named modules fits.

Know the limits before you start. KlipLink has no trigger in Make, so a scenario starts from another app or from a schedule. Make also flags its KlipLink documentation as AI-generated from the vendor's docs, so check anything important against KlipLink itself. If you want a wider view of the platform, the Make review covers it, and the n8n vs Make comparison helps if you are still choosing a tool. Stuck on a run that fails? See Make troubleshooting.

Connect

How do you connect KlipLink to Make?

  1. 01

Create an API key in KlipLink

In the KlipLink dashboard, open the API Keys section and click New API Key. Give it a label you will recognize, click Create, then copy the key shown on screen. You need an active KlipLink account for this.

  2. 02

Open the connection window in Make

In your scenario, add any KlipLink module and click Create a connection. A connection is your KlipLink account linked to Make once, then reused by every KlipLink module you add later. The Connection name field is optional.

  3. 03

    Paste the key and save

Paste the API key you copied from KlipLink into the credentials field, or follow the instructions Make shows on screen, and save. From then on, the module can read and change links in your account.

First scenario

Your first scenario with KlipLink

GoalWhen a new entry lands in another app, Make creates a matching link in KlipLink and reads it back.

  1. 01

    Start a new scenario

From the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the +. Since KlipLink has no trigger, pick the trigger of the app where your new entries appear, such as a sheet or a form.

  2. 02

    Add Create a link

Click the + on the right of that first module, search for KlipLink and choose Create a link. Link your account with Create a connection, then map the data coming from the first module into its fields.

  3. 03

    Read the link back

Add Get a link after it and map the link that Create a link just produced. The next module you add, a message or a row update, can then reuse what KlipLink returns.

  4. 04

    Test with Run once

Click Run once. Make runs the scenario a single time and shows the bundles each module received, a bundle being one item passed from one module to the next. Check the new link in KlipLink too.

  5. 05

    Schedule and switch on

Open the clock on the first module to set the schedule, every 15 minutes by default, and switch the scenario on. Every module run now counts as one operation on your Make plan.

Modules

What each KlipLink module does

KlipLink gives you 6 modules. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

KlipLink4

Make an API call

ActionIn the docs only

When none of the named modules does what you need, this one lets you call any endpoint of the KlipLink API while reusing the connection you already set up.

When to use it
you have found an operation in the KlipLink API documentation that the other five modules do not offer.
Watch out
you write the request yourself here, so read the KlipLink API docs first, because Make's own KlipLink page may contain mistakes.

FAQ

KlipLink and Make: common questions

01Is the KlipLink Make integration free?
Yes, on the Make side. KlipLink is a standard app, available from the Free plan. That plan allows 2 active scenarios, a minimum of 15 minutes between two scheduled runs, 5 minutes of execution per run, files up to 5 MB and 512 MB of data transfer. Paid plans (Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise) lower the interval to 1 minute and count usage in credits each month. You still need an active KlipLink account and an API key, and your KlipLink subscription follows the KlipLink pricing page.
02What do you need to connect KlipLink to Make?
An active KlipLink account and an API key. In the KlipLink dashboard, open API Keys, click New API Key, add a label, click Create and copy the key displayed. In Make, add a KlipLink module, click Create a connection, optionally name the connection, then paste the key. That connection is saved once and reused by every KlipLink module in your scenarios, so you do not repeat the setup for each one.
03Does the KlipLink Make integration react in real time?
No, because KlipLink has no trigger module in Make. A scenario with KlipLink has to start somewhere else. Either you put the trigger of another app first, so the scenario runs when that app reports something new, or you start with a schedule set on the first module, which is every 15 minutes by default for a new scenario. Make also offers webhooks for starting a scenario when another system calls it. The KlipLink modules then do their work in the steps that follow.
04What if a KlipLink module you need is missing in Make?
Use Make an API call. It lets the scenario reach any endpoint of the KlipLink API with the same connection, so you are not limited to the five named modules for creating, reading, updating and removing links. Keep one caution in mind: Make states that its KlipLink documentation is AI-generated from the vendor's docs and may contain mistakes. Check the KlipLink API documentation before relying on a request, and contact KlipLink for anything the vendor documentation leaves unclear.
05Should you use Make or n8n for KlipLink?
It depends on the tool your team already works in. On Make, KlipLink comes with 6 modules, including Make an API call, and it runs from the Free plan. Many apps also have an n8n node, but this page does not confirm one for KlipLink, so check the n8n side before planning around it. The fairest way to choose is to list the link tasks you need, see which platform covers them with the least custom work, and compare both tools on the criteria that matter to your team.
