What the Leedpulse Zapier integration actually does
Leedpulse works on leads that went cold: it qualifies them by SMS and turns them into booked appointments. Zapier connects it to the rest of your stack in both directions. Other apps can delegate a contact to Leedpulse, and Leedpulse can report contact updates back so the follow-up never happens in the dark.
Three outcomes, each tied to a real operation. Leads handed over without copy-paste: Create Contact sends a contact to Leedpulse with its phone number, the scenario to run, the sender and the owner. An inbox that delegates for you: Create Contact by Email does the same from the content of an email, for leads that arrive by mail. A CRM that hears what changed: Get Contacts Info picks up updated contacts in Leedpulse, so your other tools reflect where each lead stands.
What Zapier does not do here. There is no search, so a Zap cannot check whether a contact is already in Leedpulse before creating it. There is no update or delete action either: once delegated, a contact is managed inside Leedpulse. And the trigger is a polling one, so updates arrive on Zapier's timer, not the instant they happen.

Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words come back on every Zapier screen. Here they are once, in plain English.
- Zap
- The automation you build: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap, like an updated contact in Leedpulse. Once on, Zapier waits for it.
- Action
- What the Zap does once started: the step that writes or sends something for you, like Create Contact.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action that completed successfully. Your plan is a count of those, month by month.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger, like Leedpulse's, is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant one calls Zapier the moment it happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Connection
- Your Leedpulse account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Leedpulse step in all of your Zaps.
What it really costs to run
Leedpulse is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. The bill is counted in tasks, and the trigger's timer depends on your plan.
- Premium appNo, works on the free plan
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps only
- TriggerPolling, free to check
- CountedEach contact delegated successfully
Get Contacts Info costs nothing, however often Zapier checks it; only actions that succeed are billed, one task each, and a failed one is not counted. Each contact delegated with Create Contact or Create Contact by Email is one task. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps and checks every 15 minutes, but only two-step Zaps. A filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan.
Connect your Leedpulse account in three steps
- 01
Open the connection dialog
Go to the Apps page of your Zapier account and click + Add connection. You need a Leedpulse account, plus access to any contact data you want the Zap to touch that you do not own.
- 02
Pick Leedpulse
Search for Leedpulse by name in the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. Zapier then opens a new browser tab on the Leedpulse side to finish the setup.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Log in to Leedpulse in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection shows on your Apps page, ready for the trigger and both actions.
Your first Zap: updated Leedpulse contacts announced to the team
GoalWhen Leedpulse updates a contact, the Zap posts a message in your team chat, only for the updates that pass your filter.
- 01
Set the trigger
Create a Zap, pick Leedpulse as the trigger app and Get Contacts Info as the event. It is a polling trigger, so Zapier checks it on your plan's timer.
- 02
Test on real contacts
Run the trigger test. Zapier brings back the three most recent contacts from your Leedpulse account, so the mapping is done on real data.
- 03
Add a filter
From the plus icon, add a Filter and fill in its three boxes: the field, the rule and the value. The filter makes this a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.
- 04
Add the message
Add your team chat as the action app and map the contact details from the Leedpulse step into the message. Each message sent counts as one task.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test each step once and check the message lands where you expect it. When it does, click Publish to switch the Zap on for good.
The Leedpulse trigger
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Leedpulse. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.
Get Contacts Info
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Gets contacts information when contacts are updated”
Starts your Zap when contacts are updated in Leedpulse, and passes their information to the steps that follow. It is the only way to get news out of Leedpulse through Zapier, so any report, CRM sync or team alert about a lead's progress begins here.
The 2 Leedpulse actions
Leedpulse gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Create Contact
ActionIn Zapier“Delegation (creation) of a contact at Leedpulse”
Delegates a new contact to Leedpulse from a phone number, so the SMS qualification can start on that lead.
+33XXXXXXXXX format, and Sender, Scenario ID and Owner are required too.Create Contact by Email
ActionIn Zapier“Delegation (creation) of a contact by email at Leedpulse”
Hands a contact to Leedpulse from the content of an email, for leads that reach you as messages rather than structured records.
When the Leedpulse Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article and no documented limit to Leedpulse. The failures you will meet come from how Zapier works with every app, and four of them matter here.
Keep these cases in mind before you publish. If a run fails and the reason is unclear, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.
Old leads are left behind
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Leads already sitting in another app are never delegated to Leedpulse; that backlog is a separate job.A lead delegated twice
With no search on Leedpulse, the Zap cannot check whether a contact is already there. A trigger that fires twice for the same lead creates it twice.A loop between two tools
If an update caught by Get Contacts Info leads to a step that creates a contact in Leedpulse again, the Zap can keep setting itself off and eat tasks.A bulk import held back
When Leedpulse suddenly returns a huge batch of updated contacts, after an import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those runs back.
