Look Digital Signage Zapier integrationAutomate Look Digital Signage with Zapier.
The Look Digital Signage Zapier integration gives you 0 triggers, 1 action and 0 searches. One move, but a useful one: when something happens in another tool, Zapier sends an action to every screen running the layout it is meant for, without anyone opening the dashboard.

What the Look Digital Signage Zapier integration does
Look Digital Signage is cloud software for running content on screens from a distance. Through Zapier, a Zap (an automation you build once: a starting event in one app, then the steps that follow) can tell those screens to do something. It works in one direction: other tools talk to Look, Look never talks back through Zapier.
Three results come out of the one action, Send Action. First, screens that react to the outside world: a form submission, a new row or a calendar event elsewhere becomes an action sent to every device using the target layout. Second, one command for a whole fleet: since the action goes to all devices tied to that layout, you do not handle screens one by one. Third, less dashboard work: the change you would make by hand in Look can run on its own each time the starting event fires.
Now the limits, said plainly. Zapier offers no trigger for this app, so nothing that happens in Look Digital Signage can start a Zap; your other tools cannot react to a screen or a layout change through this route. There is no search either, and no action to upload content, create a layout or manage devices. Zapier here does exactly one thing: push an action toward a layout's screens.

Zapier words in one minute
Seven terms come back on this page. Here is each one in everyday words.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one starting event, then one or more steps that run every time that event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap; once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it. Look has none, so yours always comes from another app.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you. Here the only one is Send Action.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The number on your plan is a count of exactly those.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked on a timer that depends on your plan. An instant trigger is pushed by the app the moment the event happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets a condition you set, and stops it there otherwise.
- Connection
- Your Look account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step that talks to it, with no new sign-in.
What it really costs
Look Digital Signage is not a premium app, so it runs on the free plan. You pay in tasks, and only the action spends them.
- Tasks on the free plan100 per month
- Steps on the free plan2 (one trigger, one action)
- Premium appNo
- Task per action sent1
Each Send Action that goes through counts as one task, however many screens the layout reaches. A failed attempt counts for nothing, nor does the trigger, nor the checks Zapier runs to look for new data. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and two-step Zaps only: one trigger, one action. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. The interval grid below concerns the trigger of the other app that starts your Zap, since Look has none of its own; an instant trigger there ignores it.
Connect your account in three steps
- 01
Find the app
In your Zapier account, open Apps and click + Add connection. Type Look Digital Signage in the search box of the dialog and pick it. You need a Look account first; Zapier only links it.
- 02
Sign in to Look
Click Add connection. A tab opens on the Look side: sign in with the account that owns the layouts you want to drive. If a layout belongs to a colleague, make sure your login can act on it.
- 03
Grant access
Allow Zapier to use the account. The connection then sits on your Apps page, and any Zap that uses Send Action reuses it instead of asking you to sign in again.
Your first Zap: a form that drives your screens
GoalEach new submission of your form sends an action to the screens of one Look Digital Signage layout, but only when the submission carries the answer you chose.
- 01
Pick the starting event
Create a Zap and choose your form tool as the trigger app, with its new-submission event. Point it at the form that should drive the screens. Everything starts from there.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent submissions of the connected account, so you can pick a real one and work from actual answers.
- 03
Add a filter
Click the plus icon and add Filter. Fill the three boxes: the field to look at, the rule, and the value to compare with. Other submissions stop here. The Zap is now multi-step.
- 04
Add Send Action
Add an action, choose Look Digital Signage, then Send Action. Fill the Action field, the only mandatory one, with the action the screens should receive, then check the remaining settings once.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test the step and look at a screen running the layout to confirm it reacted. When it behaves as expected, click Publish to switch the Zap on.
The Look Digital Signage action
Look Digital Signage gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

Send Action
ActionIn Zapier“Sending action to all devices for which the layout is intended”
Pushes an action to every device that runs the layout it is meant for, so a whole group of screens responds at once to an event from another tool.
When it breaks
Zapier ties no help article to this app. The risks below are the general ones that hit any Zap, seen from a one-action screen integration.
Most problems start in the tool that sends the event, not in Look. When a run fails, see our Zapier troubleshooting page.
Past submissions do nothing
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Submissions already in your form tool never reach the screens; replaying them is a separate job.Empty Action field, failed run
Send Action requires the Action field. If the step has nothing to send, it fails and costs no task, but the screens never get the command.A bulk import gets held back
If the starting app suddenly returns a huge batch, after an import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold that batch back. The same item will not fire twice
On a polling trigger Zapier remembers what it has already seen. That stops duplicates, but an edited item will not start the Zap again.
