More Trees Zapier integrationAutomate More Trees with Zapier.
The More Trees Zapier integration gives you 0 triggers, 3 actions and 0 searches. Two actions plant trees, for your own account or in someone else's name, and the third reads the credits left on the platform. Every Zap starts in another app.

What the More Trees Zapier integration does
The More Trees Zapier integration lets your other apps plant trees through More Trees without anyone logging in. A Zap (the automation you build on Zapier: one event that starts it, then the steps that follow) catches an event elsewhere and passes it to a More Trees action, with the quantity you set.
Three results people set up. Trees tied to a payment: your billing tool reports a payment and Plant Trees for Self plants the quantity you chose on your own account. Trees as a thank-you: a form response or a new row carries a person's name and email, and Plant Trees for Others plants trees in their name. A watch on your balance: View Credits reads the credits left on the platform, so a later step can pass what it returns to your team.
What Zapier does not do for More Trees: it cannot start a Zap from More Trees, since the app has no trigger on Zapier. Nothing planted, gifted or credited in More Trees can set a Zap off. There is no search either. And Zapier does not decide how many trees: Quantity is a required field you fill in, or map from an earlier step. View Credits only reads: it changes nothing in your account.
Choosing the automation tool is a separate call. See our Make vs Zapier comparison, then our Zapier alternatives page.
Seven Zapier words, plainly
These terms come back through the page. One line each.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. With More Trees, it always sits in another app, since More Trees has none.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you. Planting a tree is one.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completed successfully. Your plan's allowance counts those.
- Polling trigger
- A trigger Zapier checks on a timer, asking the app for new items at a fixed interval and keeping only unseen ones.
- Instant trigger
- A trigger the app reports itself: it calls Zapier the moment the event happens, so nothing waits for a check.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action makes one, and it needs a paid plan.
What a More Trees Zap costs on Zapier
Zapier bills tasks, not trees. The trigger in the other app costs nothing; each More Trees action that succeeds costs one task, and a failed one is not counted.
- TriggerNever costs a task
- Each successful action1 task
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps only
- More TreesNot a premium app
The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each limited to two steps: one trigger, one action. A payment that plants trees fits. Planting and then reading your credits is two actions, so the Zap is multi-step, needs a paid plan and uses two tasks per run. More Trees is not a premium app. Because the trigger lives in another app, the interval grid below applies only if that trigger is a polling one.
Connect your More Trees account to Zapier
- 01
Open Apps
In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. A connection is your More Trees account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every More Trees step.
- 02
Pick More Trees
Search for More Trees in the dialog, select it and click Add connection. You need an account on the app, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Sign in to More Trees in the tab that opens, then grant Zapier access to the account. More Trees then appears in the editor as an action app, never as the app that starts a Zap.
Your first Zap: plant trees on each payment and report the balance
GoalWhen your billing tool records a payment, plant trees on your More Trees account, read the credits left, then post them in your team chat.
- 01
Create the Zap and set the trigger
Start a new Zap and choose your billing tool with its new-payment event. Connect it and test: Zapier brings back the three most recent items so you map from a real payment.
- 02
Add Plant Trees for Self
Add More Trees with Plant Trees for Self and set Quantity, the one required field. Test the step and read what came back before going further.
- 03
Add View Credits
Add a second More Trees action, View Credits, which reads the credits left on the platform. A second action makes this a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.
- 04
Add the chat message
Add your team chat and build a short message from what View Credits returned in its test. Test this step too and read what came back before going further.
- 05
Publish
Publish the Zap to switch it on. Each payment from then on runs the three actions, which means three tasks per payment when all of them succeed.
More Trees actions
More Trees gives you 3 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

Plant Trees for Self
ActionIn Zapier“Plant Trees For Self”
Plants trees on your own More Trees account, in the quantity the step gives it, each time the Zap runs.
Plant Trees for Others
ActionIn Zapier“Plant a tree for others”
Plants trees in another person's name, using the recipient's name and email address that an earlier step provides.
View Credits
ActionIn Zapier“View remaining credits on platform”
Reads the credits you have left on the More Trees platform and hands the result to the following steps.
When a More Trees Zap breaks
Zapier links no help article to More Trees and lists no limit of its own for it. What goes wrong comes from how Zaps work in general.
These three cases are the documented ones for a Zap that ends in More Trees. For any other case, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.
Past payments plant nothing
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Payments or responses that already existed are not picked up; handling them is a separate job.A big batch gets held back
When the trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those runs back. The same item will not run twice
On a polling trigger, Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen, so the same item does not start the Zap twice.
