Overview

What the MoveitPro Zapier integration actually does

MoveitPro is web software for running a moving or storage business. Linking it to Zapier means two things: four events in MoveitPro can start an automation in another tool, and two actions let other tools create clients or leads in MoveitPro without anyone typing them in again.

A lead list outside MoveitPro. Every lead created in MoveitPro lands as a new row in your spreadsheet through New Lead. The sales follow-up can happen wherever your team already works, and nobody copies names by hand.

A record of every finished job. Job Closed Out fires when a job is closed in MoveitPro, which makes it the natural start for whatever happens after the move: a note in another tool, a message, a line in a report.

Leads that arrive from elsewhere. When a request comes in through another tool, Create Lead puts it straight into MoveitPro, and Create Client does the same for a confirmed customer.

What Zapier does not do here: there is no search, so a Zap cannot look up a client that already exists in MoveitPro, and there is no action to update or delete anything. The integration creates, it does not edit. Nothing that happened before the Zap was switched on comes through either. Before choosing a tool, see our n8n vs Zapier comparison, or our Zapier review.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Eight words come back on every line of this page. Here they are in plain English, once.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier waits for that event and nothing else.
Action
What the Zap does after it has started: the step that writes, sends or creates something in an app for you.
Task
The unit Zapier bills. One action that your Zap completes successfully counts as one task on your plan.
Instant trigger
A trigger the app reports itself: it calls Zapier the moment the event happens. All four MoveitPro triggers are of this kind.
Polling trigger
A trigger Zapier checks on a timer, asking the app for new items at a fixed interval set by your plan. None here.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap continue only when what arrived meets a condition you set, and stops it there otherwise.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes it one, and it then needs a paid plan.
Cost

What a MoveitPro Zap really costs

MoveitPro is not a premium app on Zapier, so it works from the free plan. What you pay for is tasks.

  • Premium appNo, available on the free plan
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
  • TriggerNever costs a task
  • Failed actionNot counted

The trigger never costs a task, and waiting for new data costs nothing. Each action that succeeds counts once, so a Zap with three actions uses three times more than a Zap with one. An action that fails is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but each Zap stops at two steps: add a filter or a second action and you need a paid plan. The interval grid below is for polling triggers; it does not apply to the four MoveitPro triggers, which are all instant.

Connect

Connect MoveitPro to Zapier in three steps

  1. 01

    Open the Apps page

In your Zapier account, open Apps and click + Add connection. A connection is your MoveitPro account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap step that uses MoveitPro.

  2. 02

    Pick MoveitPro

Type MoveitPro in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. Zapier opens a new tab where MoveitPro asks you to sign in to your account.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

Sign in to MoveitPro in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. You need an account on the app, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.

First Zap

Your first Zap: every new MoveitPro lead in a spreadsheet

GoalSend each new MoveitPro lead to a spreadsheet, but only the ones that match a condition you choose.

  1. 01

Create the Zap and pick the trigger

Start a new Zap, choose MoveitPro as the app and New Lead as the event that starts it. Then select the connection you made earlier.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent leads of the connected account, so you map fields on a real one instead of guessing.

  3. 03

    Add the filter

Click the plus icon and add Filter. Set the field to look at, the rule and the value. A filter makes the Zap multi-step, so this step needs a paid plan.

  4. 04

    Add the spreadsheet action

Add your spreadsheet tool as the action, pick the step that adds a row, and map the lead fields from MoveitPro into the columns. Test this step once and read what came back.

  5. 05

    Publish

Click Publish to switch the Zap on. From then on, each new lead that passes the filter becomes a row. Leads created before that moment stay where they are.

Triggers

MoveitPro triggers

4 events start a Zap when something happens in MoveitPro, and 4 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.

1

Job Closed Out

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a job is closed out in the system”

This one starts your Zap when a job gets closed out in MoveitPro. Whatever your team does once a job is closed can hang off it.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
when the end of a job should leave a trace in another tool, such as a row in a report or a message to the team.
Watch out
jobs closed out before you publish the Zap are never picked up; only the ones closed afterwards start it. At the test, pick one of the three recent items Zapier brings back.
2

New Client

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new client is created.”

Each time a client record is created in MoveitPro, Zapier receives it and runs the steps you set after it. It is the trigger to use when a customer list elsewhere has to stay in step with MoveitPro.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
when every new MoveitPro client should also exist in another tool your team uses.
Watch out
as a general precaution, a Zap that writes into the place its own trigger watches can set itself off again and burn tasks, so keep the action pointed at another tool.
3

New Lead

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when new lead is created.”

A lead created in MoveitPro sets this trigger off, so a prospect can reach your follow-up tools as soon as it is in the system. It is the usual start for a sales routine built outside MoveitPro.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
when new leads should land in a spreadsheet, a task list or a message without anyone copying them.
Watch out
the test brings back the three most recent leads of the connected account; map the fields on one of them and check at the test what each field holds before you publish.
4

Saved Estimate

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a estimate is saved in the system”

Saving an estimate in MoveitPro starts the Zap. That gives you a hook on the moment a quote is ready, before the job itself exists.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
when someone else needs to know an estimate is ready, or when estimates should be logged in another tool.
Watch out
estimates saved before the Zap is published do not come through, and what the trigger carries is something to check at the test, not to assume.
Actions

MoveitPro actions

MoveitPro gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Create Client

Action

In Zapier“Creates a client in the system”

This action adds a client record to MoveitPro with the details mapped from an earlier step.

When to use it
when a customer confirmed in another tool should appear in MoveitPro without being typed in a second time.
Watch out
there is no search on this app, so the Zap cannot check whether the client already exists first. Check the result at the test before you publish.
2

Create Lead

Action

In Zapier“Creates a Lead in the system.”

Use it to put a new lead into MoveitPro from whatever tool received the request first.

When to use it
when inquiries arrive in a form or another app and should become MoveitPro leads on their own.
Watch out
each lead created counts as one task, and with no search on this app the Zap cannot check first whether the lead is already there.
When it breaks

When a MoveitPro Zap breaks

No help article is attached to MoveitPro on Zapier, and no limit specific to the app is documented. What can go wrong comes from how Zapier works in general.

Three cases are worth knowing before you publish. If something still fails, our Zapier troubleshooting page is the next stop.

  • The past is not picked up

A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Leads, clients or jobs that already existed in MoveitPro do not come through; moving them is a separate job.
  • A Zap that sets itself off

A Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches can start itself again and again, and the task count climbs fast. Keep trigger and action apart.
  • A sudden flood of items

When a trigger suddenly sends a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration for example, Zapier's flood protection can hold those items back.

FAQ

MoveitPro Zapier integration: questions people ask

01Is the MoveitPro Zapier integration free?
Yes, you can use it on the free plan, because MoveitPro is not a premium app. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and as many Zaps as you like. The catch is size: each free Zap holds one trigger and one action, nothing more. As soon as you add a filter or a second action, the Zap becomes multi-step and you need a paid plan. For a simple pairing such as every new lead into a spreadsheet, the free plan is enough.
02How many tasks does a MoveitPro Zap use?
One per successful action, every time the Zap runs. The trigger itself never costs a task, so the four MoveitPro events are free to watch. A Zap that runs New Lead and then adds one row uses one task per lead. Add two more actions and it uses three per lead. An action that does not go through is not counted against your plan. Keep in mind that a few apps and actions take more than one task when they complete, so read the task count after your first real runs.
03Do MoveitPro triggers work in real time?
Yes. All four MoveitPro triggers are instant: MoveitPro tells Zapier itself when the event happens, so the Zap starts right away. That is true on every plan, the free one included, because the interval grid of Zapier only concerns polling triggers, and MoveitPro has none. In the editor, a Zap built on one of these triggers shows a lightning bolt. Whether it is a new lead, a new client, a saved estimate or a closed-out job, there is no waiting for a scheduled check.
04What do you need to connect a MoveitPro account to Zapier?
An account on MoveitPro, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch. The connection is made from the Apps page of Zapier: click + Add connection, search for MoveitPro, click Add connection, then sign in to MoveitPro in the tab that opens and grant Zapier access. Once made, the connection is reused by every Zap step that uses MoveitPro, so you do it once.
05Can a Zap check whether a MoveitPro client already exists?
No. The MoveitPro integration has no search step, so a Zap cannot look up an existing client or lead before writing. Create Client and Create Lead simply create a new record each time they run. What happens when the same person reaches the Zap twice is something to check at the test, before you publish. A filter placed before the action can keep out entries that do not meet a condition, on a paid plan.
06What if the MoveitPro operation you want is not there?
Then this integration cannot do it on its own. On Zapier, MoveitPro offers four triggers and two actions: no update, no delete, no search. The app page of MoveitPro on Zapier shows the current list, so it is the place to check before planning a Zap around a step that does not exist. If what you need is to edit a record, for instance, this integration will not get you there, and you will have to make that change in MoveitPro itself.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for MoveitPro?
Decide on criteria, not on a ranking. First, check that the tool you consider offers MoveitPro at all, with the events you need. Second, look at billing: Zapier counts one task per successful action and gives 100 tasks a month on the free plan, with two-step Zaps only. Third, think about how big your Zaps will get, since any filter or extra action means a paid plan on Zapier. Since the four MoveitPro triggers are instant, the polling interval does not apply here at all.
