Overview

What the no2bounce Zapier integration actually does

no2bounce checks email addresses before you send to them, flagging the catch-all and risky ones that hurt deliverability. Plugged into Zapier, it runs that check on its own each time a new address lands in one of your tools, so a bad email is caught before it reaches your CRM or your next campaign.

Three results people usually set up first. A clean signup form: each new form entry goes through Validate Single Email, then Track Your Validation Status for Single Email fetches the verdict, and only then does the contact move on. A batch check after an event: Validate Bulk Emails takes a handful of addresses typed one per box, for a list of attendees for instance. A full list audit: Validate File reads a CSV from a public link, and its tracking action brings back the result for the whole file.

Now the part the official page leaves out. no2bounce has no trigger at all, so it never starts a Zap: another app always has to fire first, a form, a sheet, a CRM. And validation works in two moves. Each validate action returns a tracking ID, not the verdict; a separate track action reads the result. Plan for both steps in every Zap, which on Zapier means a paid plan.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Seven words keep coming back on this page. Here they are, in plain English.

Zap
The automation you build in Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts a Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it. no2bounce has none, so another app plays this part.
Action
What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or checks something for you, here an email validation.
Task
The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action your Zap completed successfully, and your plan counts those.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself the moment the event happens.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap carry on only when the incoming data meets your condition, and stops it otherwise.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes it one, and it then needs a paid plan.
Cost

What a no2bounce Zap really costs

no2bounce works on the free Zapier plan: Zapier does not keep it for paying customers. The bill is counted in tasks, and the two-move validation decides how many.

  • Trigger0 tasks
  • Each successful action1 task
  • Validate then track2 tasks per run
  • Free plan100 tasks a month
  • Free plan Zap size2 steps

The trigger from your other app never costs a task. Each no2bounce action that succeeds counts as one, so validating an address and then tracking its result costs two tasks per new email. Every success in a multi-action Zap counts on its own, and a failed action is not billed. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month, but only Zaps of two steps: one trigger, one action. Since the verdict needs a second action, a full no2bounce workflow sits on a paid plan.

Connect

Connect your no2bounce account in three steps

  1. 01

    Open your connections

In Zapier, open the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. A connection is your no2bounce account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap that validates emails.

  2. 02

    Pick no2bounce

Type no2bounce in the dialog's search box, select it and click Add connection. You need a no2bounce account of your own, plus access to any file or list you do not own but want checked.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

A tab opens on no2bounce. Sign in and allow Zapier to use your account. Back in Zapier, the connection shows up in the list and every no2bounce step can pick it.

First Zap

Your first Zap with no2bounce

GoalCheck every email from a Typeform signup before it reaches HubSpot.

  1. 01

    Create the Zap

Start a new Zap and pick Typeform with New Entry as what starts it. no2bounce has no trigger, so the form plays that role.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test: Zapier brings back the three most recent entries of your form, so you map a real email address in the following steps.

  3. 03

    Validate the address

Add no2bounce with Validate Single Email and map the email field from the form. The step hands back a tracking ID, not the verdict yet.

  4. 04

    Fetch the verdict

Add Track Your Validation Status for Single Email and map the tracking ID from the step before. This one returns the actual result for the address.

  5. 05

    Add the contact, then publish

Add the HubSpot contact, test each step once and read what came back. When it all looks right, click Publish to switch the Zap on.

Actions

The 6 no2bounce actions, by intention

no2bounce gives you 6 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Validate Bulk Emails

Action

In Zapier“Validate Bulk Emails and get the Tracking Id to get the result”

Submits several addresses in one go, each typed in its own box, and returns one tracking ID for the batch.

When to use it
after a webinar or a trade show, a short list of contacts needs checking at once rather than one by one.
Watch out
the addresses go one per box, not as a single pasted list, so plan the mapping before you build.
2

Validate File

Action

In Zapier“Upload the open source csv File url and Enter the readColumn value where your emails value present”

Points no2bounce at a CSV file through its link and tells it which column holds the emails.

When to use it
a full export from your CRM or your email tool needs a clean-up before the next campaign goes out.
Watch out
the file link must be open to anyone. A private link fails, and the column you name must really contain the addresses.
3

Track Your Validation Status for Single Email

Action

In Zapier“Upload you tracking Id to get your results”

Takes the tracking ID of a single check and brings back the verdict for that address.

When to use it
right after Validate Single Email, so the next step can route good and risky addresses differently.
Watch out
it only accepts a tracking ID from a single-email check; IDs from a batch or a file belong to their own track action.
4

Track Your Validation Status for Bulk Emails

Action

In Zapier“Upload you tracking Id to get your results for bulk”

Reads the outcome of a batch check, using the tracking ID the bulk action returned.

When to use it
you sent a list of event contacts through validation and want the results written back to a sheet.
Watch out
map the tracking ID from the bulk step itself. An ID copied from another Zap run points to a different batch.
5

Track Your Validation Status for File

Action

In Zapier“Upload your Tracking Id and get the result for File”

Collects the result of a whole-file validation once you hand it the file's tracking ID.

When to use it
a quarterly list audit, where you want the outcome of the CSV check posted somewhere the team will see it.
Watch out
it needs the tracking ID from Validate File, so keep both steps in the same Zap or store the ID somewhere.
6

Validate Single Email

Action

In Zapier“Upload Single Email and get the tracking Id to get the result”

Sends one address to no2bounce for checking and gets a tracking ID in return.

When to use it
a new lead signs up through a form, and you want the address checked before it lands in your CRM.
Watch out
this step alone gives no verdict. Follow it with the matching track action, which adds a second task per address.
When it breaks

When a no2bounce Zap breaks

Zapier attaches no help article to no2bounce, so the cases below come from how any Zap behaves, plus one rule written into the app's own fields.

Because no2bounce never starts a Zap, most surprises come from the app that does. If a run stops, start with our Zapier troubleshooting guide.

  • The Zap writes where it listens

A sheet triggers the Zap, and the Zap writes the verdict back as a new row in that same sheet: each row starts a new run, and your tasks drain fast.
  • Old contacts are never checked

A Zap only reacts to what arrives after you publish it. Addresses already in your list stay unchecked; run them through Validate File as a separate job.
  • A bulk import gets held back

When the trigger app suddenly returns a huge batch, after a CRM import say, Zapier's flood protection can hold the runs back.
  • The CSV link is private

Validate File expects a CSV anyone can open from its link. A file behind a login, or the wrong column name, leaves the check with nothing to read.

FAQ

no2bounce Zapier integration: frequent questions

01Is the no2bounce Zapier integration free?
On the Zapier side, partly. no2bounce is not reserved for paid plans, so a two-step Zap, one trigger and one validate action, runs on the free plan with its 100 tasks a month. The catch is that the verdict comes from a second action, the track step, and any Zap with two actions is multi-step, which needs a paid Zapier plan. Your no2bounce account is a separate matter that this page does not cover.
02How many tasks does a no2bounce Zap use?
Usually two per address: one for the validate action, one for the track action that reads the result. The trigger in your form or CRM costs nothing, and Zapier checking that app for new items is free however often it looks. If you add a third action, say creating the contact, that is three tasks per run. A failed action is not counted. Batching addresses with Validate Bulk Emails keeps the count down when contacts arrive in groups.
03Does no2bounce work in real time with Zapier?
no2bounce has no trigger, so the speed depends on the app that starts the Zap. If that app's trigger is instant, the check starts as soon as the entry arrives. If it is a polling trigger, Zapier looks for new items at an interval set by your plan: every 15 minutes on Free, 2 on Professional, 1 on Team and Enterprise. Once the Zap runs, the no2bounce actions follow straight after each other.
04What does it take to connect no2bounce to Zapier?
A no2bounce account, and access to the files or lists you want checked if someone else owns them. In Zapier, go to the Apps page, click + Add connection, pick no2bounce, sign in on the tab that opens and grant access. Before building, decide where your addresses come from: a form or a CRM as the trigger, or a CSV link that anyone can open if you plan to use Validate File.
05Why does the validate step not give the result?
Because no2bounce splits the job in two. Validate Single Email, Validate Bulk Emails and Validate File each return a tracking ID, not the verdict. To read the outcome, you add the matching track action and map that ID into it: single with single, bulk with bulk, file with file. Keep each pair matched. It also means a complete check is a two-action Zap, so plan for a paid Zapier plan.
06What if the no2bounce feature you need is not in Zapier?
Then the integration cannot do it today. It offers six actions, three to validate and three to track, and no trigger and no search. So nothing in no2bounce can start a Zap, and a Zap cannot look up an earlier check by address. The usual workaround is to keep tracking IDs in a sheet next to each address. Reading those IDs back from the sheet is a search step, so that Zap becomes multi-step and needs a paid plan.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for no2bounce?
It depends on your criteria, not on a winner. Zapier has a ready no2bounce integration with six actions, and the two-step validation fits in a short Zap. Since each address costs two tasks, high volumes add up quickly, which is where the pricing models of Make and n8n deserve a look. If nobody on your team writes code, a ready connector often matters more than unit cost. Check which no2bounce operations each tool exposes before deciding.
