Overview

What the Noora Zapier integration does for your feedback loop

The Noora Zapier integration connects your product feedback boards to the rest of your tools. When a customer posts an idea, comments on it or votes for it, Zapier can carry that signal to your team chat, your roadmap or your CRM. In the other direction, it can create a Noora post from feedback collected somewhere else.

Three results product teams build first. Every new idea announced where the team talks: New Post fires and a message lands in your chat, so nobody has to check the board by hand. Momentum on an idea pushed to whoever owns it: New Vote and New Comment start a Zap that updates a card or pings the product manager. Feedback from other channels collected in one place: a form answer or a support ticket comes in and Create Post files it on the right board.

What Zapier does not do for Noora: there is no action to comment, vote, change a status or delete a post, and no search to look up an existing post before acting. You can create, and you can listen, nothing in between. Status changes on a post do not start a Zap either, so a "shipped" announcement still has to be sent by hand.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Seven words you will see in the Zapier editor, in plain English. The rest of the page uses them without explaining them again.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap, like a new vote on a Noora board. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it.
Action
What the Zap does once started: the step that writes, sends or creates something for you, such as a new Noora post.
Task
The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action the Zap completed successfully, and your plan counts them per month.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself the moment it happens.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived meets your condition, and quietly stops it otherwise.
Connection
Your Noora account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step of every Zap that touches Noora.
Cost

What a Noora Zap really costs

Noora is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. Triggers never cost a task, and Zapier listening for posts, comments or votes costs nothing.

  • Free plan100 tasks per month, unlimited Zaps
  • Free plan Zap sizeTwo steps: one trigger, one action
  • Noora premium? No, available on the free plan
  • Noora triggersAll instant, no polling delay

Each action that succeeds counts as one task; a failed one is not billed. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month, but only for two-step Zaps: one trigger, one action. Add a filter (to forward only some votes, say) or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. The interval grid below only applies to polling triggers; all three Noora triggers are instant, so it never delays them.

Connect

Connect your Noora account to Zapier

  1. 01

    Open the Apps page

In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. You need a Noora account, plus read or write access to any board you do not own but want the Zap to touch.

  2. 02

    Pick Noora

Type Noora into the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new tab then opens on the Noora side, and the last step of the connection happens there.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

Log in to Noora in that tab and allow Zapier to use your account. The connection then appears on the Apps page, and every later Zap reuses it without asking again.

First Zap

Your first Zap: new ideas posted in your team chat

GoalEach time a customer posts an idea on Noora, send it to your team channel, but only when it meets your condition.

  1. 01

    Build: pick the trigger

Create a Zap, choose Noora and the New Post event, then your Noora connection. The trigger is instant, so the editor marks it with a lightning bolt.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent posts of the connected account, so you map fields from a real idea. Empty board? Post a test idea in Noora first.

  3. 03

    Add the filter

Click the plus icon, add Filter, then set the field, the rule and the value. Text rules work on text only, number rules on numbers only. With a filter, the Zap is multi-step and needs a paid plan.

  4. 04

    Add the chat action

Add your chat app and its send-message action, pick the channel, then drop the post title and its link into the message. Keep it short: the channel only needs enough to click through.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Run each step once and check the message in the channel. When it looks right, click Publish. Only posts created after that moment will be sent.

Triggers

The 3 Noora triggers

3 events start a Zap when something happens in Noora, and 3 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.

1

New Comment

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new comment is added.”

Someone replies under a post on one of your boards, and that reply starts the Zap. Comments are often where customers explain the real problem behind an idea, so this is the trigger that brings context out of Noora.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
the product manager in charge of an idea should hear about every new reply without watching the board.
Watch out
on a busy board, one task per comment adds up, so a filter on the board may pay off.
2

New Post

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new post is added.”

A customer or a teammate submits a fresh idea or request on a board. It is the trigger most teams start with, because every piece of feedback begins as a post.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
new requests should appear in your team chat or your backlog tool as they arrive.
Watch out
never pair it with Create Post on the same board, or each new post creates another one and the Zap loops.
3

New Vote

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new vote is added.”

A user upvotes an existing post, and the Zap starts. Votes are the demand signal of a feedback board, and this trigger lets you act on that signal outside Noora, for instance to keep a priority score in sync.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
sales should know when one of their accounts backs an idea on your roadmap.
Watch out
votes from before the Zap was published are not sent, so past totals stay in Noora.
Actions

The Noora action

Noora gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Create Post

Action

In Zapier“Creates a new post.”

Files a new post on the board you choose, using text sent by an earlier step. That way feedback gathered in forms, emails or support tools ends up next to the ideas customers posted themselves.

When to use it
a support agent tags a ticket as a feature request and it should land on your public board.
Watch out
the Board field is required and the action only creates, so the same feedback sent twice becomes two posts.
When it breaks

When a Noora Zap breaks

Zapier attaches no help article to Noora, and no Noora-specific limit is documented. What breaks comes from Zapier's general rules, with a twist or two specific to feedback boards.

Four cases cover most surprises. If yours is not here, our Zapier troubleshooting page goes through the checks in order.

  • Old posts and votes never come through

A Zap only reacts to what happens after you publish it. Ideas, comments and votes that already existed are ignored, and moving that history is a separate job.
  • The Zap keeps creating posts

New Post plus Create Post on the same board is a loop: each created post starts the Zap again and your monthly tasks drain fast.
  • An imported batch goes quiet

Import a large pile of feedback at once and Zapier's flood protection can hold the batch back rather than run the Zap on every item.
  • Create Post fails on the board

Without a Board, or with one your account cannot post on, the action fails. A failed action is not billed, but nothing reaches Noora.

FAQ

Noora and Zapier: common questions

01Is the Noora Zapier integration free?
Yes. Noora is not a premium app, so it runs on the free Zapier plan, which gives 100 tasks a month and as many Zaps as you want. The limit people miss is size: a free Zap has two steps only, one trigger and one action. Forwarding only some votes with a filter, or adding a second action, makes the Zap multi-step, and that needs a paid plan. A straight New Post to chat message Zap stays free.
02How many tasks does a Noora Zap use?
One task for each action that succeeds, nothing more. The three triggers are free, and Zapier waiting for new posts, comments or votes costs nothing. A Zap that sends every new vote to your chat spends one task per vote, which can climb quickly on a popular board. Add a second successful action and each run costs two. A failed action is not counted. On the free plan, 100 tasks a month is the ceiling across all your Zaps.
03Are Noora triggers real time?
Yes. New Post, New Comment and New Vote are all instant: Noora itself tells Zapier the moment something happens, and the Zap starts at once. The polling grid of the plans, every 15 minutes on Free, 2 on Professional and 1 on Team and Enterprise, only applies to triggers Zapier checks on a timer. Noora has none of those, so a free account reacts just as fast as a paid one here.
04What do you need to connect Noora to Zapier?
A Noora account, and read or write access to any board you do not own but want the Zap to use. In Zapier, open Apps, click + Add connection, search for Noora, confirm with Add connection, then sign in to Noora in the tab that opens and grant access. The connection is saved once and reused by every Zap. If you plan to use Create Post, make sure the target board already exists.
05Why does a Noora Zap keep creating new posts?
Because it writes where its own trigger listens. New Post starts the Zap, Create Post adds a post on the same board, and that post starts the Zap again. Each turn costs a task, so the monthly allowance disappears fast. Switch the Zap off first, then fix the design: send Create Post to a different board than the one New Post watches, or add a filter so that posts created by the Zap are left out.
06What if the Noora operation you need does not exist?
Then Zapier cannot do it with Noora today. The integration offers three triggers and one action: no commenting, no voting, no status change, no deletion and no search. If your process needs one of those, handle that part inside Noora, or check whether another automation tool exposes more of Noora. Planning around a missing step usually ends in a fragile chain of Zaps, so check the action list in the editor before you design anything.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Noora?
Decide on criteria, not on a ranking. Zapier is the quickest to set up for Noora: three instant triggers usable on the free plan and an editor non-technical teams pick up easily. Its limit here is the single create action. Make and n8n bill differently and handle longer, branching flows, which matters if one vote should update several tools at once. Count the steps each event needs before choosing. That number decides more than the setup time.
