Overview

What the OBD by Go2Market Zapier integration does

OBD by Go2Market is a cloud telephony service: it sends automated voice messages by phone and runs call campaigns with scheduling and retries. Through Zapier, one action, Create Simple Call, places an outbound call whenever something happens in another app, so nobody has to dial or load a list by hand.

Three results that one action covers. A welcome call for every new lead: your CRM reports a new contact and Create Simple Call places an automated call right away. A reminder before an appointment: a booking tool reports a new appointment and the same action schedules a call instead of sending it at once. A call on another template: set IVR TemplateId to 37 for DTMF or 39 for Latching instead of 26 for Simple, or to the custom ID Go2Market gives you.

What Zapier does not do here matters as much. OBD by Go2Market has no trigger, so the result of a call, answered, missed or the key pressed, cannot start a Zap. There is no search step, so a Zap cannot check a past call or a campaign. And the single action creates calls only: it does not record messages, build templates or stop a campaign; that stays in Go2Market.

Vocabulary

Zapier terms in plain English

Seven words carry this whole page. Here is each one, explained once.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time that trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event that starts the Zap. With OBD by Go2Market it always comes from another app, since this one has no trigger.
Action
What the Zap does once started: the step that creates or sends something for you, here an outbound voice call.
Task
What Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The allowance of your plan is counted in tasks.
Polling vs instant
Polling: Zapier checks the trigger app on a timer. Instant: the trigger app warns Zapier itself the moment an event occurs.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it in every other case.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action makes one, and it then requires a paid plan.
Cost

What an OBD by Go2Market Zap really costs

OBD by Go2Market is open on every Zapier plan, the free one included. On the Zapier side, you pay in tasks, one per call created successfully.

  • Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps
  • Zap size on Free2 steps: one trigger, one action
  • Paid plan requiredNo, works on Free
  • OBD by Go2Market triggersNone, the Zap starts in another app

The trigger in your CRM, sheet or booking tool costs nothing. Each successful Create Simple Call counts one task, so a hundred calls a month use exactly the free plan's 100 tasks. A call request that fails is not counted. The free plan also caps the Zap at two steps, one trigger and one action. Add a filter, for example to call only leads with a phone number, and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan.

Connect

Connect your OBD by Go2Market account to Zapier

  1. 01

    Open your connections

In Zapier, go to the Apps page of your account. A connection is your Go2Market account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step that places a call. Click + Add connection.

  2. 02

    Pick OBD by Go2Market

Search for OBD by Go2Market in the dialog, select it and click Add connection. An existing Go2Market account is needed first; Zapier only links to it.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

A tab opens on Go2Market. Log in with the account that runs your voice campaigns, then allow Zapier to use it. The connection then appears in your list, ready for Create Simple Call.

First Zap

Your first OBD by Go2Market Zap, step by step

GoalPlace an automated welcome call to every new lead added to your lead sheet, but only when a phone number is filled in.

  1. 01

    Create the Zap

Start a new Zap in Zapier. The editor opens with an empty trigger card at the top and an empty action card right under it.

  2. 02

Set the trigger in your sheet

OBD by Go2Market has no trigger, so the Zap starts in your spreadsheet app. Pick its new row event and your connection, then test to bring back recent rows.

  3. 03

    Add the filter

Click the plus icon and add Filter. Keep only rows where the phone column exists, so leads without a number stop here instead of failing later.

  4. 04

    Add Create Simple Call

Choose OBD by Go2Market, then Create Simple Call. Set Send Now, the IVR TemplateId and the Retry attempt, then map the lead's details from the row.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Test with your own phone number in a row and check the call really comes through. Then click Publish; with a filter, this Zap needs a paid plan.

Actions

The OBD by Go2Market action

OBD by Go2Market gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Create Simple Call

Action

In Zapier“Creates a simple outbound call using the Go2Market (G2M) platform.”

Places one outbound voice call through Go2Market, either straight away or as a scheduled lead, with a chosen message template and a number of retries.

When to use it
a new lead, a booking or a renewal date recorded elsewhere should trigger a recorded phone message without a person dialling.
Watch out
Send Now takes a number, not yes or no: 0 stands for true, send now, and 1 for Schedule Lead.
When it breaks

When an OBD by Go2Market Zap breaks

Zapier lists no help article and no rate limit specific to OBD by Go2Market. What goes wrong comes from the three required fields and from the way Zaps work.

Four cases cover most surprises. When one of them shows up, the Zapier troubleshooting guide takes you through the fix.

  • Calls go out at the wrong time

Send Now takes 0 for true, send now, and 1 for Schedule Lead. Flip the two and calls meant for later leave at once, or urgent ones wait.
  • The wrong message is played

IVR TemplateId picks the template: 26 Simple, 37 DTMF, 39 Latching, or the custom ID Go2Market shares. Check it before testing on a real contact.
  • Old leads are never called

A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Leads added before that get no call; reaching them is a separate campaign.
  • A big batch gets held back

When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold the runs back instead of calling everyone.

FAQ

OBD by Go2Market Zapier integration: common questions

01Is the OBD by Go2Market Zapier integration free?
On the Zapier side, yes for a simple Zap. OBD by Go2Market is not reserved to paid plans, so it runs on the free Zapier plan, which gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps. That plan limits each Zap to one trigger and one action. A new CRM contact followed by Create Simple Call fits. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan.
02How many tasks does an OBD by Go2Market Zap use?
One task per call request that goes through. The trigger in your other app is free, and so is the waiting between events. A Zap that calls every new lead spends one task per lead, so a hundred calls a month use the whole free allowance. A request that fails is not counted. If the same Zap also logs the call in a sheet, that second action counts as another task.
03Does OBD by Go2Market call in real time without a trigger?
It has no trigger, so the Zap always starts in another app, and that app sets the pace. If its trigger is instant, the call request leaves as soon as the event happens. If it polls, Zapier checks on a timer: every 15 minutes on Free, 2 on Professional, 1 on Team and Enterprise. Create Simple Call then runs as soon as the Zap reaches it, and Send Now decides whether the call goes out at once or is scheduled.
04What does it take to connect OBD by Go2Market to Zapier?
An existing Go2Market account and a Zapier account. In Zapier, open the Apps page, click + Add connection, choose OBD by Go2Market, sign in in the tab that opens and grant access. To use Create Simple Call you also need the IVR TemplateId you will play, either a standard one or the custom ID Go2Market shares, and a decision on how many retries you want for unanswered calls. Test once with your own phone before publishing.
05Why did the call go out at the wrong moment?
Almost always because of the Send Now field. It is required and takes a number, not yes or no: 0 stands for true, send now, and 1 for Schedule Lead. A 1 typed as a yes therefore schedules the call instead of placing it. Check the value in the action, test with your own number, and look at the Zap history to see which value was actually sent before changing anything else.
06What if the OBD by Go2Market operation you need is not on Zapier?
Then Zapier cannot do it with this app as it stands. The integration offers a single action, Create Simple Call, with no trigger and no search. Reading call results, reacting to a key pressed or managing campaigns is not possible from a Zap. The workable routes are to build the flow around that one action, or to ask Go2Market whether more operations are planned. A specialist can also check whether another automation tool reaches further.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for OBD by Go2Market?
It depends on your criteria, not on a winner. Zapier has a ready OBD by Go2Market app with Create Simple Call, and a sales or support team can set it up without technical help. The questions to ask of Make or n8n are the same: does their own Go2Market module exist, and what does a call cost you there. Whichever you choose, check first that it offers the Go2Market operation you depend on.
