What the OfferLab Zapier integration does for you
OfferLab runs your affiliate program: partners sign up, promote your offers, and OfferLab records the sales and commissions they bring in. Plugging it into Zapier means every signup, commission, order or subscription change in OfferLab can kick off work in another app, with no one copying data across.
Three outcomes cover most setups. A partner team that hears about every new affiliate: Affiliate Signed Up and Collaboration Approved can post to a channel or add a row to your partner sheet. Finance records that match what OfferLab owes: Commission Created, Order Invoice Paid and One-Time Order Completed can feed your accounting or reporting tool the moment money moves. Customer data that stays in sync: Customer Created, Customer Updated and the two subscription triggers keep your CRM or mailing list current.
Now what Zapier does not do here. The only thing a Zap can write into OfferLab is marking an order invoice as complete. It cannot create an affiliate, a customer, a commission or an order, and it cannot change a subscription. The two searches only find customers and order invoices. So OfferLab is mostly a starting point for your Zaps, rarely a destination.

Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Eight Zapier words carry this page. Here they are, in plain English.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time that trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier waits for it to happen.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you in an app.
- Task
- What Zapier bills you for: one action that your Zap completes successfully. Your plan allowance counts these.
- Instant vs polling
- An instant trigger is reported by the app the moment it happens. A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer instead.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when the incoming data meets your condition, and stops it quietly otherwise.
- Search step
- A step that looks up something that already exists in an app, so the steps after it can use what it found.
- Connection
- Your OfferLab account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap and every step that needs OfferLab.
What it really costs
OfferLab is not a premium app, so it works on the free Zapier plan. Its triggers never cost a task.
- Premium appNo, works on the free plan
- Trigger cost0 tasks
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
- OfferLab triggers13 instant, 0 polling
Zapier bills only the actions that go through: each one that succeeds counts once, a failed one does not. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and Zaps of two steps, one trigger plus one action. Add a search, a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. All 13 OfferLab triggers are instant, so the polling grid below does not apply to them. Your OfferLab subscription is a separate matter.
Connect OfferLab to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open your connections
In your Zapier account, go to the Apps page and click + Add connection. You need an OfferLab account first, with access to the affiliates, orders and customers the Zap will touch.
- 02
Pick OfferLab
Type OfferLab in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens on the OfferLab side, so let it load fully.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Log in to OfferLab in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection now shows on your Apps page, ready for every Zap you build next.
Your first Zap: paid invoices to a thank-you email
GoalEach paid OfferLab invoice looks up the customer, then sends them a thank-you email.
- 01
Create the Zap and pick the trigger
Start a new Zap, choose OfferLab as the app and
Order Invoice Paidas the event, then select the OfferLab connection you just made. - 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent paid invoices from your account, so you can pick a real one and see what it carries.
- 03
Add the customer search
Add OfferLab again with
Search Customers by Email or IDand map the customer reference from the invoice. This search makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan. - 04
Add the email
Add your email tool, then map the address and the name the search found into the message so each customer gets a personal thank-you.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test each step once and read what came back. When the email looks right, click Publish to switch the Zap on, then watch the first real run.
OfferLab triggers
13 events start a Zap when something happens in OfferLab, and 13 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
Affiliate Signed Up
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new affiliate signs up through your referral link.”
Someone joins your program through your referral link, and your Zap receives the new affiliate's details straight away.
Collaboration Approved
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a collaboration is approved (either manually or automatically).”
A collaboration gets the green light in OfferLab, whether someone approved it by hand or the platform did it automatically, and the Zap picks it up.
Commission Created
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new commission is created.”
Every time OfferLab records a new commission for an affiliate, the Zap gets it, which is the cleanest way to see what you owe as it accrues.
Customer Created
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new customer is created.”
A new customer record appears in OfferLab and is handed to Zapier, ready to be copied to wherever your team keeps customer data.
Customer Updated
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a customer is updated.”
Any change to an existing customer in OfferLab sends the updated record to your Zap, so other tools can follow the edit.
One-Time Order Completed
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when an order is paid and completed.”
When a one-off order is paid and completed, the Zap receives it. Subscriptions have their own triggers, so this one stays focused on single purchases.
Order Invoice Created
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when an order invoice is created.”
As soon as OfferLab issues an invoice for an order, the Zap gets it, before any payment has happened.
Order Invoice Paid
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when an order invoice is paid.”
Payment lands on an order invoice and Zapier hears about it right then, which makes this the trigger to rely on for anything tied to cash in.
Order Status Changed
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when an order status changes.”
This one fires whenever an order moves from one status to another, whatever the new status is. It is the broadest of the order triggers.
Order Updated
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when an order is updated.”
Any edit to an existing order in OfferLab reaches the Zap, not just a change of status. Think of it as the catch-all for order changes.
Subscription Created
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new subscription is created.”
A customer starts a new subscription in OfferLab and your Zap is told right then, with the subscription details attached.
Subscription Updated
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a subscription is updated.”
Whenever an existing subscription changes in OfferLab, the Zap receives the new version of it, so downstream tools can react to the change.
New Team Member
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new team member is created.”
Someone is added to your team in OfferLab, and the Zap gets the new team member. It is about your own staff, not your affiliates or customers.
OfferLab actions
OfferLab gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Mark Order Invoice as Complete
ActionIn Zapier“Marks an order invoice as complete.”
Closes an order invoice in OfferLab by setting it to complete, which is the only change a Zap can write into OfferLab.
OfferLab searches
2 search steps look for data that already exists in OfferLab, so a later step can use it.
A search step finds something that already exists in OfferLab and passes it on to the next steps. In the editor, searches sit at the bottom of the Action event list, under SEARCH. Adding one makes the Zap multi-step.
Search Customers by Email or ID
SearchIn Zapier“Search for customers using the customer's ID or email address”
Looks up an OfferLab customer from either their email address or their customer ID, and hands the full record to the following steps.
Search Order Invoice by ID or Invoice Number
SearchIn Zapier“Search for an order invoice using the invoice's ID or invoice number (e.g., OL-77847065)”
Finds one order invoice from its internal ID or the invoice number your customer sees, so later steps can read or close it.
The three settings every search exposes
- Successful if no search results are found?Left on its default, a search that finds nothing stops the Zap there. Switched on, the Zap carries on without the missing item.
- Create X if it doesn't exist yet?Ticking it would turn a search into find-or-create. OfferLab offers no such variant, so this box does not apply to its two searches.
- If multiple search results are found?Three ways out when several items match: keep the first one, which is the default, stop the Zap, or hand all of them on.
When it breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to OfferLab, so the traps below are the general ones that apply to any app.
Most failing OfferLab Zaps fall into one of these four cases. If yours misbehaves and none of them fits, the Zapier troubleshooting guide walks through the next checks.
No backfill of past orders
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Orders, customers and commissions created before you published it are never picked up; moving that backlog is a separate job.A loop between invoice triggers and the action
A Zap that marks an invoice complete can set off Order Updated or Order Status Changed, and a Zap built on those can fire again. Keep them apart.Flood protection after a bulk import
When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a migration or a mass import of customers, Zapier can hold it back instead of running every item.A search that finds nothing
By default, a search with no result stops the Zap and skips the steps after it. Turn on the no-results setting if the rest should run anyway.
