What's the best CrossFit gym management software in 2026?
A box needs two things a regular gym doesn't: the WOD on the whiteboard and scores people actually log.
Most lists for this search come from a vendor that puts itself at number one. A box owner has more specific questions. Will dues bill on their own? Can athletes book the 6 a.m. class and log their Fran time in the same app? Do I need a second subscription for programming? We compared six platforms on those questions, with prices read on each vendor's own pricing page.
The short answer: PushPress for most US boxes, because you can start at $0 and move to Pro once card fees climb. WodBoard if you want programming and billing in one tool at a price set by athlete count. Zen Planner if you already run SugarWOD and want the two connected. Resawod for a box in Europe that bills in euros. SugarWOD and Strivee handle the whiteboard and programming only, so pair them with billing software.
The ranking is editorial: a sponsored spot is always labeled on its card, and no affiliate link changes a score.

The order fits the most common case: an affiliate box with 50 to 200 athletes that bills monthly memberships and posts a daily WOD. The last two rows are programming apps, not billing software. Read them as add-ons.

How we compared and ranked
A box lives on two loops. The first is money: dues that bill every month without chasing. The second is the class: a WOD posted before 5 a.m., athletes who book a spot, and scores that end up on a leaderboard. Software that nails one loop and ignores the other forces you to buy a second tool. That's why programming and payments carry 25% each, and value 20%: most boxes run on thin margins.
We read the official pricing pages of every tool here, plus processing rates, trial and cancellation terms. We also read owner reviews on Trustpilot and Reddit, mostly the negative ones: cancellations that don't go through, price hikes, accounts locked for a day. Scores start on this page and stay the same anywhere we rank these tools again. PushPress keeps the 4.1 it has on our general gym software ranking.
What we left out, and why. Wodify is the name most affiliates know, but we couldn't read its pricing page, and we never publish a price taken from a third-party site. It's covered further down without a number.

PushPress
PushPress is the only tool here that lets a box run for $0 a month. You pay in processing instead: 4.99% + $0.30 on every card charge on Free. Members and staff are unlimited on all three plans, so the headcount never pushes you up a tier.
Here's the break-even for a box charging $120 a month. A card charge on Free costs $6.29. The same member paying by ACH on Pro costs $1.25. That's $5.04 back per charge. Past about 32 members on ACH, the savings cover Pro's $159. Most affiliates are above that from day one.
For programming, basic workout programming comes with the core product. Score tracking and benchmarks sit in Train Pro, billed separately: check the pricing FAQ for your client count before you count on it. Outside the US, prices go through sales.
- Unlimited members on every plan
- ACH at 0.79% + $0.30 on Pro and Max
- Unlimited members and staff on all three plans
- ✓You know the full cost before any demo call
- ✓Fees drop sharply once you leave Free
- ✓No member cap pushes you up a plan
- ✗Scores and benchmarks need Train Pro on top
- ✗Prices only in USD; international goes through sales
- ✗No SEPA direct debit shown for European boxes
The default pick for a US affiliate. Start free if you must, but move members to ACH on Pro as soon as you pass 30 or so.
WodBoard
WodBoard was built for boxes, and it shows: programming, score entry and member billing live in one place, with iOS and Android apps for athletes. Payments go through Stripe for cards and GoCardless for bank debits. That GoCardless option matters in Europe, where members expect to pay by direct debit.
The price follows active athletes. Divide it out and the cost per athlete falls fast: £1.80 each at 50 athletes, £1.30 at 100, £0.90 at 200. So a box that grows past a tier boundary pays a little more in total but less per head.
Extras add up, though. A white-label app is £100 a month and the CRM another £100. The team says it handles migration within 24 hours. You can cancel any time with 30 days' notice.
- Programming, scores and billing in one subscription
- Stripe and GoCardless built in
- Migration done by the team
- ✓Clear tiers by athlete count
- ✓Direct debit through GoCardless
- ✓No long contract, 30 days' notice
- ✗Priced in pounds only
- ✗White-label app and CRM cost £100 a month each
- ✗Above 200 athletes, quote only
The most complete tool built only for boxes. Pick it if you want one login for the WOD and the dues, and you're fine paying in pounds.
Zen Planner
Zen Planner is a full gym management platform rather than a CrossFit-only tool. Its Studio plan, from $99 a month, lists advanced workout tracking and a SugarWOD integration. Higher plans go to $198 (Essentials) and $348 (Ultimate). A branded app is a $39 monthly add-on.
Watch the word "from". The price depends on active members, and Zen Planner counts anyone with a membership or anyone who attended an event in the past month. Run a busy January challenge with drop-ins and your bill can move the next month.
Owner reviews are mixed on billing. Recent complaints include a bill that rose from $118 to $229, charges after cancellation, and yearly price increases. Get the renewal and cancellation terms in writing before you sign.
- SugarWOD integration on Studio
- Four public price points
- Branded app for $39 a month
- ✓Mature platform, many plans to grow into
- ✓Connects to the whiteboard app boxes already use
- ✓Onboarding presented as free
- ✗Bill moves with active members, drop-ins included
- ✗Owner complaints about price hikes and cancellations
- ✗SugarWOD itself is a separate subscription
A safe pick if your coaches won't give up SugarWOD. Budget for both subscriptions and read the renewal clause twice.
Resawod
Resawod comes from Spain and has served gyms and boxes since 2011. It's the only tool here with a public grid in euros. PayG costs €0 a month with unlimited athletes, but its payment service is mandatory at €0.25 + 3.5% per transaction. On a €100 membership, that's €3.75 every month per athlete.
Paid plans change the math. Starter is €72 a month up to 100 active athletes, with payments optional. Pro is €99 with unlimited athletes and lead tracking. Premium, at €115, adds the Whiteboard and Trhade Basic programming. So if the leaderboard matters to your box, Premium is the real price.
Door access is included in every plan, through QR code, card or NFC fob. Setup takes about 15 days, with migration included. There's no commitment, and you can cancel when you want.
- Euro pricing, published
- Door access in every plan
- Whiteboard included on Premium
- ✓Real free plan to start
- ✓No commitment
- ✓Coach and athlete apps included
- ✗PayG fees add up fast on bigger boxes
- ✗Leaderboard only on the €115 plan
- ✗Few independent owner reviews to read
The pick for a European box. Skip PayG once you pass 20 or so paying athletes, and go straight to Premium if your coaches want the whiteboard.
SugarWOD
SugarWOD isn't billing software. It's the app athletes open after class to log their score and see where they stand on the whiteboard. That's why many boxes run it next to a management platform, and why Zen Planner connects to it.
You pay only for registered athletes. The pricing page shows its tiers as an image, so we can't quote an amount: open it with your athlete count in mind. Above 250 athletes, each extra block of 100 goes through their team.
There's no contract, and you can cancel any time. The 2-week trial gives full access, enough to run a real cycle of programming with your coaches.
- Whiteboard and score logging athletes know
- Pay only for registered athletes
- No contract
- ✓Strong habit loop for athletes
- ✓Integrates with Zen Planner
- ✓2-week trial with full access
- ✗No billing: you need a second tool
- ✗Price tiers not readable as text
- ✗Quote needed above 250 athletes
Not a standalone choice. It's the programming half of a two-tool setup, and a good one if your athletes already use it.
Strivee
Strivee, a French startup, does programming only: no memberships, no payments. What it does, it does cheaply. Scaled is €19 a month for up to 15 clients, Rx €49 for up to 75, and Unlimited €99.
The feature box owners notice is the TV display: the day's WOD on the screen in the box, and the same workout on each athlete's phone. Athletes track 1RMs and PRs and see rankings.
The Rx tier caps at 75 clients, so a growing box jumps from €49 to €99 in one step. The 14-day trial needs no card.
- TV display of the WOD
- Entry tier at €19 a month
- Free 14-day trial, no card
- ✓Cheapest way to add programming
- ✓1RM, PR and rankings for athletes
- ✓Works next to any billing tool
- ✗No billing or memberships
- ✗Jump from €49 to €99 at 75 clients
- ✗Euro pricing, little US presence
A cheap whiteboard for a box that already bills elsewhere. Past 75 athletes, compare it with SugarWOD before paying €99.
Three names you'll hear, and why they're not ranked
These come up in every box owner conversation. Each card says what we know and why it sits outside the ranking.
The platforms
Wodify, the name affiliates know
No public price readWodify covers scores, a digital whiteboard, billing and class reservations. Owner reviews praise support that answers fast and fixes bugs within a day or two. Others call the product dated, and one owner wrote that member accounts were suspended in a way that cost the box revenue.
We couldn't open its pricing page, and third-party sites quote amounts that contradict each other. So we don't rank it and we don't print a price. Ask for the full quote, processing included, on the demo call.

TeamUp, no contract
GeneralistTeamUp bills by active clients: $189 a month for 101 to 200 is the tier it shows, with unlimited locations and no contract. It's a general class-booking platform, so programming and scores aren't its strength. Fine for a box that cares more about bookings than leaderboards.
- 101 to 200 active clients
- $189 a month

- None
Gymdesk, flat price per active member
GeneralistGymdesk starts at $75 a month for up to 50 active members if you process with Gymdesk Payments ($100 without), with a 30-day trial and no card. It's built for gyms and martial arts schools rather than boxes. We cover it in our general gym software ranking.

Do you need billing and a programming app?
Many boxes end up paying for two products without planning it. Decide on purpose.
One tool: WodBoard, PushPress, Resawod Premium
One login, one bill, one place where member status and scores meet. WodBoard does both from £90 a month. Resawod puts the Whiteboard in Premium at €115. PushPress covers basic programming, with scores and benchmarks in its paid Train Pro.
Two tools: billing plus SugarWOD or Strivee
Your coaches may refuse to leave the whiteboard app athletes already use. Then add up both bills. Strivee costs €19 to €99 a month. SugarWOD charges per registered athlete. Zen Planner is the one platform here that lists a SugarWOD integration, so the two talk to each other.
Free plans that aren't free
PushPress Free and Resawod PayG both cost $0 or €0 a month. You pay on every charge instead. At 60 athletes on $120 dues, PushPress Free card fees run about $377 a month. That's more than double Pro. Treat free plans as a launch tool, not a home.
- Count active athletes the way the vendor does, including drop-ins.
- Add the programming app to the bill if your coaches won't drop it.
- Ask for card and bank-debit rates, not just the monthly price.
- Check that lapsed members are blocked from booking automatically.
- Test a member cancellation yourself during the trial.
- Write down the notice period on the day you sign.
New rankings for box owners and gym managers, once in a while
Four checks that save a bad year
What owners wish they had done before switching, pulled from their reviews and forum threads.
The checks
Cancel a test membership yourself
MembersOn a Reddit thread, a member of a box couldn't cancel and the gym blamed the app. The vendor's support answered that the gym can cancel a membership in minutes. Cancelling is a setting on your side. Try it during the trial so your front desk knows how.

Find out who counts as active

Check the currency and the bank debit
PaymentsPushPress and Zen Planner price in dollars, WodBoard in pounds, Resawod and Strivee in euros. In Europe, ask if members can pay by direct debit: WodBoard does it through GoCardless, and PushPress shows no SEPA option.

Read the renewal clause before the feature list
ContractResawod, SugarWOD and WodBoard run without a long contract (30 days' notice at WodBoard). Zen Planner's reviews mention yearly price increases and charges after cancellation. Put the renewal date in your calendar the day you sign.

Frequently asked questions
Is there free CrossFit gym software?
Yes, but you pay through fees. PushPress Free costs $0 a month and charges 4.99% + $0.30 per card payment. Resawod PayG costs €0 and charges €0.25 + 3.5% per transaction. Both make sense for a new box with a handful of members, and both cost more than a paid plan once you have a few dozen.
What software do most CrossFit affiliates use?
In the US, the names that come up most are Wodify, PushPress, Zen Planner and SugarWOD for the whiteboard. In Europe, WodBoard and Resawod are built for boxes and price in local currency.
Is SugarWOD a gym management software?
No. SugarWOD handles programming, the whiteboard and athlete scores. It doesn't bill memberships. Pair it with a billing platform: Zen Planner lists a SugarWOD integration on its Studio plan.
How much does CrossFit gym software cost per month?
Between $0 and roughly $350 for the tools on this page. PushPress Pro is $159, Zen Planner Studio starts at $99, WodBoard is £90 to £180 depending on athletes, and Resawod Premium is €115. Add processing fees and, if you use one, a programming app.
Can athletes log scores and book classes in the same app?
With WodBoard, yes: programming, scores and bookings sit in one product. Resawod gets there on Premium, which adds the Whiteboard. With Zen Planner or a billing-only tool, athletes usually book in one app and log scores in SugarWOD.
How do I switch from Wodify without losing members?
Export members, plans and payment status first, then ask the new vendor how stored payment methods transfer. WodBoard says its team migrates boxes within 24 hours, and Resawod includes migration in its roughly 15-day setup. Run both systems through one billing cycle before you cancel.
Which software works for a box outside the US?
Pick one that bills in your currency and supports bank debit. WodBoard prices in pounds and connects GoCardless. Resawod prices in euros and runs in Spain and France. PushPress lists USD prices only and sends international boxes to sales.
