How much does BookYourData cost?
Prepaid credits, zero subscription: what a B2B record really costs at your volume.
Short answer: $99 for 250 credits ($0.40 a record), dropping to $0.10 a record with the 10,000-credit pack at $999. One credit unlocks a full record (email, phone, company data), credits never expire, and every pack gets the same filters and exports. Our take: great math for a one-time bulk buy, poor math for a small team prospecting every day. The guarantee protects quality, but it pays back in credits, never in cash.
The BookYourData buttons on this page are affiliate links: if you buy a pack through them, Hack'celeration earns a commission. Your price stays the same, and so does the 3.8/5 score.
BookYourData pricing, pack by pack
There are no tiers here, only credit packs. One credit equals one full contact record, and every pack opens the exact same product: 100+ filters, CSV or Excel export, and native pushes to HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho, Outreach or ActiveCampaign. The only thing that changes with pack size is the price per record. No seats, no contract, no auto-renewal: you top up when the balance runs dry.
One heads-up before the numbers: the 1,000-credit pack isn't listed at the same price everywhere on BookYourData's own site ($249 on some pages, $299 on others). We show the range instead of picking one, so check the checkout total.

Six ways buyers overpay
The model looks dead simple: buy a pack, spend credits, get records. In practice, what you pay depends mostly on how you buy and how you export. We went through BookYourData's help center and buyer reviews, and these are the patterns that keep coming up.
Buying in small chunks
Volume pricing applies per transaction, not to your running total. Two 5,000 packs cost $1,598; one 10,000 pack costs $999. That's $599 for the exact same number of records. Once your target is proven, bundle the year's needs into one order. Credits don't expire, so there's no use-it-or-lose-it pressure.
Paying twice for the same contact
Run a search close to a previous one and part of the results are records you already bought. Turn on Net-New, which only downloads records your account has never purchased. One repeat buyer calls it out as the first habit worth building on a BookYourData account.
Treating the guarantee like a refund
The 97% guarantee returns credits, not money, and only past a 3% hard-bounce allowance. Those first 3 points are your cost. Purchased credits are never refundable in cash, so the only real safety net is testing small before you buy big.
Counting on direct dials
Phone is included in the credit, but BookYourData says most records carry the company line, with a direct dial only where they have one. For a calling team, the true cost of a reachable mobile is higher than $0.10. Look at the phone column on your free records before you scale.
Pulling several contacts per company
One buyer reported a first batch with a 25% bounce rate, then records of people who had left. BookYourData's answer to that kind of complaint: filter by company size and keep one row per company. Staff turnover at very small firms is where data ages fastest, even with a refresh every 30 to 90 days.
Losing track of credit burn
Several users say it's hard to see how many credits each export consumed. Note the balance before and after every download and keep the receipts from your account. If you file a guarantee claim, you'll need to tie each record to a purchase and a bounce report.
- Start with the 10 free credits on your exact niche, not on a broad search.
- Then buy 250 credits and measure the real bounce rate of a live send.
- Bundle later purchases into a single transaction to hit the best tier.
- Switch on Net-New before every new export.
- Keep your sending tool's bounce reports: they are your proof for credit-backs.
- Run every file through an email verifier before a big send, guarantee or not.
How we work out cost per record
We divide each pack's price by its credits, then factor in two things the price list doesn't show: the 3% guarantee allowance you absorb on every send, and records that come without a direct dial. Prices come only from BookYourData's own pages. Where two of its pages disagree (the 1,000 pack), we show the range rather than choose.
The 3.8/5 score is the one from our full BookYourData review, which covers data quality, the search tool and support. The ranking is editorial: a sponsored placement is always labeled on its entry, and no affiliate link changes a score.

What you actually pay for your use case
The right pack depends less on budget than on how many records you'll really send. Six situations, with the total and the one thing to know about each.
The guarantee shifts the math too. Take the 5,000 pack at $799 and a send with a 10% bounce rate, one of BookYourData's own examples: 500 records bounce, you get 7 points back, so 350 credits. That leaves 4,850 usable records, about $0.165 a record instead of $0.16. The 3% allowance is the fixed cost of the model.

BookYourData pricing vs other B2B databases
Comparing a credit pack with a per-seat plan only works if you compare the same job. BookYourData is built to buy a list: pay once, export, send. Apollo, Lusha or FullEnrich are built to find contacts as you go, with a quota that resets every month. Scores and entry prices match our review of each tool.
| Best for | Billing model | Free plan | Team size | Visit | ||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Apollo | Daily prospecting | Per-seat subscription | 4.3/5 | $49/seat/mo (annual) | ✓ | Sales teams | Visit → |
| 2 | FullEnrich | Enrich a list you have | Monthly credits | 3.9/5 | $26/mo (500 credits, annual) | — | Teams with target accounts | |
| 3 | BookYourData | Buy a list in bulk | Prepaid credits | 3.8/5 | $99 / 250 credits | — | One-off buys, agencies | Visit → |
| 4 | Lusha | Phone numbers for calling | Per-seat subscription | 3.7/5 | $49.90/user/mo (400 credits) | ✓ | Calling teams | |
| 5 | ZoomInfo | Enterprise accounts | Annual contract, quote | 3.6/5 | From ~$15,000/yr | — | Enterprise | |
| 6 | RocketReach | One-off lookups | Annual subscription | 2.9/5 | ~$33/mo (annual) | ✓ | Occasional lookups |
Two US-friendly options we haven't reviewed, at their vendors' official prices: UpLead starts at $99 a month for 170 credits ($74 billed annually), with monthly credits that don't roll over; Kaspr starts at €45 per license per month billed annually (€59 monthly). On Lusha a phone reveal costs 10 credits, so Starter's 400 credits buy far fewer than 400 contacts with a number.

The tools
Apollo: for daily prospecting
Daily outreachApollo is built for a sales team that finds, emails and follows up from one place: contact database, email sequences, a dialer and deal tracking. Against BookYourData it wins as soon as you prospect every week, because the credit quota resets instead of making you buy pack after pack.
The catch: a mobile number costs 8 credits versus 1 for an email, and coverage is weaker on small European companies than on US ones.
- Best for
- Sales teams
- Entry price
- $49/seat/mo billed annually ($65 monthly)
- Free plan
- Yes, no time limit
- Our score
- 4.3/5
FullEnrich: for filling gaps in a list you own
EnrichmentFullEnrich does not sell lists. You upload accounts or profiles, it queries more than 20 data providers in a waterfall and only charges credits when it finds a verified result. Pick it when the target list exists and you are missing the email or the mobile.
The catch: no email sending, and monthly credits you need to watch if you might stop halfway.
- Best for
- Teams with target accounts
- Entry price
- $26/mo billed annually for 500 credits ($29 monthly)
- Free plan
- No, 50-credit trial
- Our score
- 3.9/5
Lusha: for grabbing a number before a call
CallingLusha runs from a Chrome extension: open a profile, reveal the email or phone, dial. For a team that lives on the phone, that beats any bulk export.
The catch: 10 credits per phone number, 1 per email. Starter's 400 credits buy far fewer than 400 numbers, and data freshness gets flagged a lot on small companies.
- Best for
- Calling teams
- Entry price
- $49.90/user/mo for 400 credits
- Free plan
- Yes, 40 credits a month
- Our score
- 3.7/5
ZoomInfo: for enterprise sales orgs
EnterpriseZoomInfo covers B2B data plus the wider go-to-market stack of a large sales team: intent signals, org charts, deep integrations. It is a strong product when the budget is there.
The catch: no public pricing, annual contracts that start around $15,000, and auto-renewal with a short cancellation window. For a one-off list, it is the wrong tool.
- Best for
- Enterprise budgets
- Entry price
- From ~$15,000/yr, quote only
- Free plan
- No
- Our score
- 3.6/5
RocketReach: for one-off lookups
OccasionalRocketReach finds the email of one specific person in a pool of 700M+ profiles. The free plan lets you check coverage on your niche before paying.
The catch: two separate credit pools, one for lookups and one for exports, that never cover for each other. Add a high bounce rate and the cost per usable contact climbs fast. Lowest score in this lineup.
- Best for
- Occasional lookups
- Entry price
- ~$33/mo billed annually
- Free plan
- Yes, 5 lookups a month, no export
- Our score
- 2.9/5
So, is BookYourData worth the price?
Our call is clear: BookYourData is one of the cheapest ways to get a large B2B list without a contract, and one of the priciest for a small team that needs ten contacts a day. The difference is the billing model, not the size of the database.
Good deal if…
You have a clear target and need volume in one go: entering a new vertical, an agency preparing campaigns for several clients, filling an event. At $0.10 a record on the 10,000 pack, with no seats and no commitment, few tools beat it on a one-time buy. Non-expiring credits absorb calendar slips.
Bad deal if…
You prospect daily, contact by contact, from LinkedIn or your CRM. Re-buying 250 packs at $0.40 adds up faster than a subscription with a monthly quota, which is where Apollo wins. And if your niche is very narrow, coverage can be thin: the free credits will tell you.
Vs Lusha and Apollo
Lusha is handier for finding a number mid-call, but a phone number costs 10 credits there and an email 1. Apollo adds email sequences and a light CRM on top of its data. ZoomInfo is in another league, with annual contracts that start around $15,000. BookYourData only competes on one thing, the price of a bulk list, and it wins that one.
CAN-SPAM still applies to you
US law doesn't require opt-in for B2B email, but it doesn't exempt B2B either. Each message needs an accurate sender and subject line, your physical postal address and a working unsubscribe you honor within 10 business days. Fines can reach $53,088 per email, and BookYourData says compliance is shared: you own the send.
Emailing outside the US
If your list includes EU or UK contacts, GDPR applies on top of CAN-SPAM. You need a legitimate interest, a message relevant to the person's job, an easy opt-out, and you must tell them where their data came from by your first email at the latest. Keep BookYourData's opt-out page handy for deletion requests.
Our verdict
3.8/5: a broad database of 500M+ profiles across 200+ countries, a per-record price that's hard to beat at volume and a clear guarantee, held back by credit-only compensation and missing direct dials on many records. Start with the 10 free credits, then 250, and only buy big once you've measured your bounce rate.
- One-off purchase of 5,000+ records: BookYourData is a strong pick.
- Daily prospecting by a team of 1 to 3: go with a subscription tool.
- Need direct dials above all: check the phone column on your free records.
- Emailing in the US: postal address and working opt-out in every message.
- Send from a secondary domain, warmed up for 2 to 3 weeks, starting at 50 to 100 emails a day.
- Strip hard bounces from your list after every send.
BookYourData pricing FAQ
How much does BookYourData cost?
The smallest paid pack is $99 for 250 credits ($0.40 per record), and you can grab 10 free credits first with no card. The per-record price then drops with volume: $159 for 500 credits, $249 to $299 for 1,000 depending on which BookYourData page you read, $799 for 5,000 and $999 for 10,000, which works out to $0.10 a record. No subscription, no per-seat fee: the whole team draws from one balance. Is there a free trial?
Yes: 10 free credits on signup, no credit card required. That's 10 full records you can export and inspect. Spend them on the narrowest search you'll actually run (a job title in one industry and one state, say) rather than a broad query, because thin coverage in a tight niche is the main thing the trial can reveal. The trial covers the self-serve tool only, not BeSpoke lists.Do BookYourData credits expire?
No. Credits have no expiry date and there's no monthly reset, so a pack bought for one campaign can feed the next one months later. That makes a single large purchase low-risk once you've validated your target: you aren't racing a renewal date the way you are with seat-based tools that zero out unused credits. Can I get a refund?
Not in cash. BookYourData's terms of use say purchased credits are non-refundable. The only compensation is the accuracy guarantee, and it's paid back as credits on your balance, never to your card. So the real protection is sequencing: free trial first, then a 250-credit pack, then the big purchase once your bounce rate looks healthy. How does the 97% accuracy guarantee work?
BookYourData guarantees 97% deliverable emails, which means the first 3% of hard bounces are on you. Above that line, you get back credits for the difference: 2 points back at a 5% bounce rate, 7 points at 10%, 17 points at 20%. You need proof (the bounce report from your sending tool), and credits are returned per contact, not per list. How much is a BeSpoke list?
BeSpoke starts at $499 for 1,000 records, so $0.50 a record, with a 1,000-record minimum. The team builds the list for you, verifies it three times and delivers within three business days. You get a free 10-record sample, then a priced plan to approve; you pay 25% upfront and the balance on delivery.Does one credit include a phone number?
One credit unlocks the full record, email and phone included, with no per-field surcharge. The catch: most records carry the company's main line, and a direct dial only appears when the database holds one. If your reps live on the phone, check the phone column on your free records, or ask for a quote on the separate Direct Dials service, where dead numbers aren't billed. Is BookYourData cheaper than Apollo or ZoomInfo?
For a one-off bulk purchase, yes: 10,000 records for $999 beats both. ZoomInfo contracts start around $15,000 a year, and Apollo starts at $49 per seat per month billed annually. But if a small team prospects every day, Apollo's renewing monthly quota usually costs less than buying 250-credit packs again and again. Is it legal to cold email a BookYourData list in the US?
Yes, CAN-SPAM doesn't require prior consent, but it has no B2B exemption either. Every email needs an honest subject line and sender, your physical postal address and a working opt-out that you honor within 10 business days. Penalties can reach $53,088 per non-compliant email. Buying the list doesn't transfer any of that responsibility: BookYourData itself says compliance is shared and the sender owns the send.
