Lemwarm alternatives: which warm-up tool to switch to, and how to move without losing your reputation
Seven destinations, one per reason to leave, and a seven-step handover plan.
Short answer: Instantly if you warm five or more inboxes, because it includes unlimited inboxes and warm-up for $47 a month. Smartlead for agencies with many client domains. MailReach if you have a few inboxes and want real spam checks. TrulyInbox if you need a free plan. Warmy if you want a trial first, Warmbox for fixed bundles. And if you pay for lemwarm on top of a cold email tool, lemlist includes lemwarm in every plan. One fact frames the whole page: lemwarm costs $29 per address per month, so ten inboxes cost $290. We compared seven tools and read their pricing pages in 2026.
Some links are affiliate links. The ranking is editorial: a sponsored placement is always labeled on its card, and no affiliate link changes a score.
Why people look for a lemwarm alternative, and why some should stay
Lemwarm does its job: a network of 20,000+ domains on Essential, warm-up for Google, Microsoft and SMTP inboxes, and clear setup guidance. People leave over the pricing model and the tools around it, rarely over the warm-up itself. If you send from lemlist already, you probably don't need to leave at all.
You pay per address
Lemwarm Essential costs $29 per address per month, Smart $49. Ten inboxes on Essential come to $290 a month ($240 annual). Instantly, Smartlead and TrulyInbox don't charge per inbox at all.
You're leaving lemlist
Lemwarm is included in every lemlist plan. Cancel lemlist and the warm-up you thought was free becomes a separate per-address bill.
Your sender already warms
Instantly and Smartlead include unlimited warm-up in their plans. If you already send from one of them, a lemwarm subscription pays twice for the same job.
The score isn't placement
An independent vendor calls warm-up scores a vendor signal, "not receiver-side proof of inbox placement".
No free plan, no trial shown
Lemwarm's pricing page shows no free plan and no free trial. TrulyInbox has a free plan for one account, and Warmy a 7-day trial without a card.
The slow ramp
Lemwarm's own guidance is about 4 weeks of warm-up, then 2 more weeks before the first campaign. Some teams want a tool that fits their sending tool instead of a separate schedule.

Lemwarm alternatives, tool by tool
For each tool: why switch to it, who it's for, who it's not for, its catch, and how to move your inboxes. Prices are the ones each vendor shows in USD.
The tools
Instantly: unlimited inboxes for one flat price
Best value at 5+ inboxesWhy switch to Instantly. Lemwarm bills per address. Instantly bills per workspace. Growth costs $47 a month ($37.60 a month on annual billing), caps you at 1,000 uploaded contacts and 5,000 emails a month (see Instantly pricing), and it includes unlimited email accounts and unlimited warm-up. Instantly's own FAQ says you can connect and warm as many accounts as you need, from any provider. At ten inboxes, that's $47 against $290 on lemwarm Essential. The gap grows with every domain you add.
Who it's for. Agencies and sales teams that rotate many inboxes across several domains, and anyone who wants warm-up and cold sending in the same tool. In one Reddit thread, a 12-person agency sending about 5,000 emails a week singled out Instantly's warm-up pool as "massive".
Who it's not for. Someone who only wants to warm one inbox and send from Gmail by hand. You'd be paying for a sequencer you'll never open.
The catch. Warm-up is a means, not the product. The higher tiers cost real money (Hypergrowth $107 a month, Light Speed $358 a month), and add-ons stack up. Our Instantly review details where the bill climbs.
How to migrate. Connect each inbox to Instantly (Google, Microsoft or SMTP), start its warm-up at a low daily volume, and only then lower lemwarm on that same inbox. Keep your DNS records as they are: SPF, DKIM and DMARC live on your domain, not in the tool.
- Price
- $47/mo, $37.60 annual
- Inboxes
- unlimited
- Best for
- 5+ inboxes, agencies
- Catch
- add-ons raise the bill
Smartlead: unlimited accounts and a cheaper first plan
Agencies at scaleWhy switch to Smartlead. Same model as Instantly: you don't pay per inbox. Smartlead's pricing page says every plan includes unlimited email accounts at no extra cost; each plan comes with access to its warm-up pool, and a premium warm-up tier (Ultra Premium) is reserved for the top plans. Base costs $39 a month, or $32 a month on annual billing (annual saves 17% on every plan).
Who it's for. Agencies juggling client domains, and teams that already send cold email at volume and want warm-up bundled in.
Who it's not for. A team that sends more than the Base limits allow. Base covers 2,000 contacts and 6,000 sends a month. Beyond that you jump to Pro at $94 a month ($78 annual), then Unlimited Smart at $174 ($144) and Unlimited Prime at $379 ($315).
The catch. The cap is on contacts and sends, not inboxes. Count your monthly volume before you pick the plan, or the cheap entry price won't last.
How to migrate. Add your mailboxes, switch on warm-up per account, and run both networks at a reduced volume for a couple of weeks. Then pause lemwarm inbox by inbox, starting with your least-used addresses.
- Price
- $39/mo, $32 annual
- Inboxes
- unlimited
- Base limit
- 6,000 sends/mo
- Catch
- contact cap per plan
MailReach: a cheaper per-inbox warmer with spam checks
Few inboxesWhy switch to MailReach. If you want a standalone tool, MailReach bills per mailbox on a sliding scale: $25 a month each for 1 to 5 inboxes, $19.50 for 6 to 20, $18 for 21 to 50 and $16 from 51, against $29 on lemwarm Essential. With a handful of inboxes the saving is small ($25 against $29); it grows with volume. Each warmer plan includes at least 20 spam-test credits, so you can see where a real email lands instead of trusting a score. Ten inboxes come to $195 a month, against $290 on lemwarm Essential.
Who it's for. Founders and small sales teams with one to five inboxes, who send from their own tool and want an independent check on placement.
Who it's not for. Agencies with dozens of inboxes. Per-inbox pricing hurts at scale, exactly like lemwarm.
The catch. You still pay per address. MailReach also asks for at least 14 days of warm-up before any campaign on a new mailbox.
How to migrate. Connect the inbox, let MailReach ramp it (up to 100 warm-up emails a day), and run a spam check before you cut lemwarm. If the result matches what you saw before, you can stop lemwarm on that inbox.
- Price
- $25 (1-5) to $16 (51+) per mailbox/mo
- Included
- 20+ spam-test credits
- Volume
- up to 100 emails/day
- Catch
- still per inbox
TrulyInbox: a free plan and no per-inbox pricing
Free optionWhy switch to TrulyInbox. It's the only tool here with a free-forever plan: one account, 10 warm-up emails a day. Paid plans are priced on daily warm-up volume, not on inboxes: "Connect unlimited email accounts. No per-inbox pricing, ever." Starter costs $29 a month ($22 annual) for 200 emails a day, Growth $99 ($84) for 1,000, Scale $199 ($169) for 3,000 and Scale+ $479 ($407) for 5,000.
Who it's for. Teams with many inboxes and a modest warm-up volume, and anyone who wants to try warm-up without a card. There's a 7-day trial on paid plans and a 14-day refund window.
Who it's not for. Someone who wants warm-up inside the tool that sends the campaigns. TrulyInbox is warm-up only.
The catch. TrulyInbox recommends 2 warm-up emails for every cold email, every day. At 100 cold emails a day you'd need 200 warm-up emails, which is the whole Starter plan. Do that math first.
How to migrate. Start with the free account on one inbox to see how it behaves, then move the rest once you've picked a volume tier.
- Free
- 1 account, 10 emails/day
- Paid
- from $29/mo, $22 annual
- Inboxes
- unlimited
- Catch
- 2:1 warm-up ratio adds up
Warmy: pay for the warm-up volume you use
Free trialWhy switch to Warmy. Warmy bills on the volume of warm-up emails it generates and interacts with, from $49 a month. You pay for what the network actually does for you, not for the number of addresses on the account. There's a 7-day free trial with no credit card, which lemwarm's pricing page doesn't offer.
Who it's for. Teams that want to compare a warmer side by side before they commit, and senders whose volume is steady and predictable.
Who it's not for. A solo sender with one inbox. At $49 a month, MailReach ($25) or lemwarm Essential ($29) is cheaper.
The catch. Volume pricing makes the bill harder to predict if you add inboxes every month. Estimate your daily warm-up volume before you pick a plan.
How to migrate. Use the trial week on one or two inboxes while lemwarm keeps running on the rest. You'll know before day 8 whether to move everything.
- Price
- from $49/mo
- Billing
- by warm-up volume
- Trial
- 7 days, no card
- Catch
- harder to forecast
Warmbox: fixed bundles of inboxes and daily volume
Simple bundlesWhy switch to Warmbox. Warmbox sells plans as bundles: Solo at $19 a month ($15 billed annually) for 1 inbox and 50 warm-up emails a day, Start-up at $79 ($69 annually) for 3 inboxes and 250 a day, Growth at $159 ($139 annually) for 6 inboxes and 500 a day. You know exactly what you get per inbox.
Who it's for. Small teams with a stable count of 1, 3 or 6 inboxes who want a standalone warmer.
Who it's not for. Agencies that add domains every month. Once you outgrow 6 inboxes, an unlimited-inbox tool like Instantly or Smartlead costs less.
The catch. The Start-up bundle works out above $26 per inbox, close to lemwarm Essential. The saving only shows on the Solo plan.
How to migrate. Pick the bundle that matches your inbox count today, not next quarter, and move inboxes one at a time.
- Price
- Solo $19/mo
- Solo
- 1 inbox, 50/day
- Growth
- $159, 6 inboxes
- Catch
- pricey per inbox mid-tier
lemlist: keep lemwarm and stop paying for it separately
Already on lemlistWhy switch to lemlist. This is the counterintuitive option. If you pay for lemwarm on its own and also send cold email, lemlist includes lemwarm in every plan. Lemwarm's own pricing page says it: "Every lemlist plan includes lemwarm". The Email plan costs $69 a month ($55 annual) and covers email warm-up and the deliverability hub. Multichannel costs $109 per user ($87 annual).
Who it's for. Teams that like lemwarm's network and settings, and want to drop a separate sequencer bill.
Who it's not for. Teams leaving lemwarm because of the per-address model at scale, or because they no longer trust the score. Moving to lemlist keeps the same warm-up engine.
The catch. Per-seat pricing on Multichannel adds up fast for big teams. Our lemlist review and lemlist pricing breakdown go into the details.
How to migrate. There's almost nothing to move: your inboxes keep the same warm-up network. Check which plan includes how many warm-up seats before you cancel the standalone lemwarm bill.
- Price
- Email $69/mo, $55 annual
- Warm-up
- lemwarm included
- Best for
- cold email + warm-up
- Catch
- same engine as lemwarm

Switch from lemwarm in seven steps
Your sender reputation belongs to your domain and your inboxes, not to lemwarm. The goal of the switch is simple: no gap in activity and no spike in volume.
The steps
List every inbox and its current state
Day 1Write down each address on lemwarm: provider (Google, Microsoft or SMTP/IMAP), its domain, its current daily warm-up volume and its score. Note which inboxes already send campaigns. You'll move the quiet ones first and the busy ones last.
- Time
- under an hour
- Output
- one row per inbox
Check SPF, DKIM and DMARC before anything else
Day 1Google asks every sender to set up SPF or DKIM. Past 5,000 emails a day to Gmail, it asks for SPF, DKIM and DMARC, plus one-click unsubscribe on marketing mail. These records sit on your domain. Changing warm-up tool changes none of them, so fix any gap now and the new tool starts on clean ground.
- Rule
- SPF or DKIM for all
- 5,000+/day
- add DMARC
Start the new tool on one quiet inbox
Week 1Connect one low-stakes inbox to the new tool and start at a low daily volume. Google's guidance is the same idea in plain terms: start low, raise volume slowly, avoid spikes.
- Start
- low volume
- Ramp
- small steady steps
Lower lemwarm, don't cut it
Weeks 1 to 2Lemwarm says it works best when left on continuously. Rather than switching it off on day one, reduce its volume on the inboxes you're moving while the new tool picks up. Our advice: don't run two networks at full volume on the same inbox, it creates the sudden spike Google asks you to avoid.
- Goal
- no gap, no spike
- Length
- about two weeks
Check real placement, not just a score
Week 2Send a real email to seed addresses or use your new tool's spam checks (MailReach includes 20 credits). A warm-up score is a signal from the vendor, not proof of where your mail lands. Compare inbox placement on Gmail and Outlook before and after the switch.
- Measure
- inbox vs spam
- Tool
- seed list or spam check
Move the rest, busiest inboxes last
Weeks 2 to 4Once the pilot holds, move inboxes in batches. Keep the sending inboxes on their usual daily rhythm the whole time: Google asks for a consistent sending rate and no bursts. A reputation is tied to your domain and inboxes, not to the warm-up tool, so it carries over if you keep the volume steady.
- Batch
- a few inboxes at a time
- Rule
- steady daily volume
Cancel lemwarm and keep monitoring
Week 4+Cancel only when every inbox has run on the new tool for a while with stable placement. After that, watch spam complaints in Google Postmaster Tools: stay under 0.3%, and aim under 0.1%. If you ever stop warm-up altogether, lemlist's help center suggests running 1 to 2 inbox placement checks a month.
- Spam rate
- under 0.3%, aim 0.1%
- Watch

What makes a warm-up switch go wrong
Most failed switches come from the handover, not from the new tool.
Cutting lemwarm on day one
Lemwarm recommends staying on continuously. A hard stop followed by a fresh ramp on another network leaves a gap in your inbox activity. Overlap at low volume instead.
Doubling the volume overnight
Two networks at full speed on one inbox is a spike. Google asks senders to avoid sudden volume jumps and to send at a consistent rate.
Trusting the new score blindly
Every vendor has its own score, and none of them is Gmail's view. Check placement with real emails on Gmail and Outlook, before and after.
Forgetting the DNS basics
A new warm-up tool won't fix a missing SPF or DKIM record. Past 5,000 emails a day to Gmail you also need DMARC and one-click unsubscribe.
Picking a plan on inbox count alone
Smartlead caps contacts and sends, TrulyInbox caps daily volume, Warmy bills on volume. Count your daily warm-up and cold sends before you choose.
Blaming the tool for a bad list
In one Reddit thread comparing Instantly, Smartlead and lemlist, the top reply was that list quality matters more than the tool. Warm-up can't save a list that triggers complaints.
- Inbox list with provider, domain, volume and score
- SPF and DKIM on every sending domain
- DMARC and one-click unsubscribe if you pass 5,000/day
- New tool piloted on one quiet inbox
- Lemwarm lowered, not cut, during the overlap
- Real placement checked on Gmail and Outlook
- Spam rate under 0.3% in Postmaster Tools
- Lemwarm cancelled only after stable placement
Lemwarm alternatives: frequently asked questions
Is lemwarm free with lemlist?
Yes. Lemwarm is included in every lemlist plan, and lemlist's pricing page lists email warm-up on the Email plan ($69 a month, $55 on annual billing). On its own, lemwarm starts at $29 per address per month. So if you already pay for lemlist, a separate lemwarm subscription is usually money you can save.
Can I use lemwarm without lemlist?
Yes. Lemwarm sells standalone plans: Essential at $29 per address per month ($24 annual) and Smart at $49 ($40 annual). It connects Google, Microsoft and any SMTP/IMAP inbox. Quarterly billing saves 10%, annual saves 20%, worth checking before you switch tool for price alone.
What is the best free lemwarm alternative?
TrulyInbox is the only tool in our comparison with a free-forever plan: one account and 10 warm-up emails a day. That's enough to keep one quiet inbox alive, not to ramp a new domain. Warmy offers a 7-day trial without a card if you'd rather judge a paid tool first.
Does email warm-up still work in 2026?
Warm-up helps, but it isn't what Google measures. Google's sender guidelines never mention warm-up tools. They ask you to start with a low volume to engaged recipients, raise it slowly, send at a steady rate and keep spam complaints under 0.3%. A warm-up tool helps with the ramp. Your list quality and your authentication do the rest.
How long should I warm up a new inbox?
Lemwarm's guidance is about 4 weeks of warm-up, then 2 more weeks before the first campaign. MailReach asks for at least 14 days before any campaign. Shorter is possible, but the slower ramp is the safer one on a brand-new domain.
What happens to my score if I stop lemwarm?
The lemwarm score is lemwarm's own number, so it stops meaning anything once you leave. What matters is your domain reputation, which you keep. Check placement with real emails before and after the switch.
Can I run two warm-up tools on the same inbox?
For a short overlap at reduced volume, yes. At full volume on both, you create the kind of sudden spike Google asks senders to avoid. Lower lemwarm as the new tool ramps up, then cancel. Lemwarm itself recommends staying on continuously, so plan the handover rather than a hard stop.
Is a high warm-up score proof that I land in the inbox?
No. An independent deliverability vendor puts it plainly: a warm-up score is "a product-provided signal, not receiver-side proof of inbox placement". Run a placement check with real messages. MailReach includes 20 spam-test credits with its warmer plan for exactly that reason.
