Claude ChartMogul connectorWhat Claude can do in your ChartMogul account.
The Claude ChartMogul connector exposes 76 tools. 74 read your subscription data, 0 write to it, and 2 are documented nowhere. Below: what Claude can analyse, why it never edits anything, who may connect it and who can switch it off.
Verified Trustpilot reviews · AI, automation & growth agency
What changes for a SaaS founder or finance lead
You stop exporting charts to answer a question that spans three of them. Ask Claude why churn rose, how the quarter's MRR bridge looks or what a customer's history is before a meeting, and it queries ChartMogul's metrics, customers and pipeline itself, then answers in the chat. It only ever reads.
Explain a churn spike. churn_summary gives every churn rate on one timeline, churned_subscribers names the accounts behind it and list_customer_notes brings back what was said before they left.
Prepare a board update. net_MRR_summary builds the month-by-month bridge, retention and LTV add the health view, and benchmarks sets your figures against peers in the same ARR band.
Walk into a customer meeting informed. search_customers finds the account, list_customer_subscriptions shows plan and renewal dates, and list_contacts lists the stakeholders.
What it will not do: ChartMogul connects Claude with read-only access, so no tool edits a customer, a plan, a note or a task. Data is only fetched when you ask. Nothing runs by itself either: no alert fires when MRR drops. For scheduled reports or syncs, the ChartMogul Make integration answers a different need, and the Integrations hub lists the rest.
The vocabulary in one minute
Five words you will meet while plugging ChartMogul into Claude.
- Connector
- The link you set up once between Claude and an account you already have, so Claude can work in it while it answers you.
- Tool
- One named thing a connector lets Claude do. Claude picks the ones it needs on its own, and the directory sheet lists them by name.
- Authorization
- ChartMogul's own sign-in and authorization screen, where you hand Claude its access. Granted once per person, and revocable.
- Approval
- The confirmation Claude waits for before it goes ahead with a change to an account, shown in the conversation when it matters.
- MCP
- The shared standard connectors are built on: it is what lets an assistant like Claude talk to an outside service such as ChartMogul.
Connect ChartMogul to Claude in three steps
- 01
Find ChartMogul in Claude
Open Claude's settings, go to Customize then Connectors, and look for ChartMogul, listed as ChartMogul remote MCP. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner has to switch it on before members can sign in.
- 02
Start the connection
Sign in to ChartMogul in your browser first, then click Connect on its row. ChartMogul opens its own window to confirm which account you are linking. If the link breaks later, use Disconnect and connect again.
- 03
Read the authorization screen
Check which ChartMogul account is shown and review the permissions before you click AUTHORIZE. The screen belongs to ChartMogul, not to Claude, and it sets what the access covers.
The 76 tools, sorted by what they do
ChartMogul gives Claude 76 tools: 74 that read your account, 0 that change something in it, and 2 no official source describes.
Two groups: what Claude reads, and what no official source describes. Tool names stay exactly as Claude shows them, in English.

What Claude reads (74)
74 toolsSeventy-four tools that query your ChartMogul data. ChartMogul grants read-only access, so none of them edits anything.
ARPA
Plots average revenue per account over time, so Claude can tell you whether each customer is worth more or less than a quarter ago, and from which month the curve bent.
ASP
Gives the average sale price over a date range, with summary statistics around it, so deal size stops being a gut feeling and becomes a figure you can quote.
CMRR
Shows committed monthly recurring revenue, which counts future movements customers have already signed for, not only what bills today. It is the forward-looking twin of plain MRR.
CMRR_movements
Lists the individual events behind committed MRR, one line per commitment, so Claude can say which accounts drive the forward-looking figure and by how much.
LTV
Tracks customer lifetime value over time, the estimate of what an average account brings in before it leaves.
MRR_and_ARR
Returns monthly and annual recurring revenue trends with growth rates and the totals of new business, expansion, contraction, churn and reactivation.
MRR_movements
Reads the activity feed of revenue events: new subscriptions, upgrades, cancellations and other subscription events, in the order they happened, account by account.
account_retention_for_benchmarks
Returns your own retention metrics over time, gross MRR, net MRR and customer retention, prepared for comparison with industry benchmarks.
benchmarks
Compares your ARR growth, customer retention and net and gross MRR retention with industry benchmarks, segmented by ARPA or ARR band.
benchmarks_metadata
Tells Claude how fresh the benchmark data is and which ARR milestones it covers.
benchmarks_segmented
Counts how many accounts sit in the same benchmark segment as yours, a simple way to judge how solid a comparison really is before you lean on it.
cash_flow
Brings back net and gross cash flow per customer for a date range: the money actually collected rather than recurring revenue.
cash_flow_analytics
Breaks cash flow into refunds, net, gross and non-recurring amounts, alongside successful payments and failed transactions, so the reasons behind a dip become visible.
cash_flow_summary
Summarises cash flow statistics for a chosen period in a few lines, without the per-customer detail, when a headline is all you need.
cfl_reference
Loads the reference for ChartMogul Filtering Language, the syntax Claude uses to build filters for its analytics queries.
cfl_reference_for_plan_filters
Narrows the filtering language reference to plan and plan group fields, used whenever a question is scoped by plan.
churn_summary
Returns churn trends and tables: customer churn rate, net and gross MRR churn rate, and quantity churn rate, all on the same timeline so they can be read together.
churned_subscribers
Lists the subscribers who churned, account by account, rather than as a rate, so a percentage turns into names you can actually look into.
cohorts
Details how the customers of one cohort converted over a given interval, customer by customer, instead of as a single retention percentage.
cohorts_summary
Summarises cohort retention across net MRR, quantity and customers, plus conversion from non-subscriber to subscriber, in the familiar cohort grid.
currency_fluctuation
Lists the exchange rate impact record by record, so Claude can separate currency effects from real revenue movement on each account.
currency_fluctuation_summary
Summarises how exchange rates have weighed on MRR over time, without going down to each record, for a quick read of the overall effect.
customer_count
Counts the customers matching a filter without pulling their full records, which keeps broad questions fast and the conversation short.
free_trial_customers
Lists the customers currently on a free trial, a quick view of who is evaluating the product right now.
get_current_account
Returns the identity of the connected ChartMogul account, with its currency, time zone and data-handling settings, so Claude knows which books it is reading.
lead_and_trial_trends
Plots the number of leads and free trials over time, with the tables behind the chart, so a sign-up trend can be read month by month.
leads
Pages through individual leads, including leads that never started a trial.
leads_and_free_trials_summary
Summarises lead and free trial statistics for a period in a compact form, the short version of the trend tool.
list_account_team_members
Lists the team members of your ChartMogul account with their role, status and contact details.
list_contacts
Retrieves the contacts attached to one or several customers, with name, email, phone and custom attributes, straight into the conversation.
list_customer_custom_attributes
Shows which custom attributes exist on customer records, with their type and, for dropdowns, the values allowed, so Claude filters with your own vocabulary.
list_customer_notes
Pulls notes and call logs for one or several customers, filterable by type, author and date, so the history of the relationship sits next to the revenue data.
list_customer_subscriptions
Lists a customer's subscriptions with plan, status, billing interval and key dates, the contractual picture of one account.
list_customer_timeline_events
Reads the events shown in a customer's activity feed, such as status shifts and merges, in chronological order.
list_data_sources
Lists the billing sources connected to your ChartMogul account, optionally with their connector settings, so Claude knows where the numbers come from.
list_emails
Retrieves emails linked to a customer or a contact, with the body if you ask for it, along with the customer and contact details.
list_invoices
Lists invoices for a customer or a source, optionally with their line items and transactions, in one answer.
list_line_items
Reads invoice line items with amounts, plan, subscription and proration details, line by line.
list_opportunities
Lists open and closed opportunities across sales pipelines, filterable by stage, owner, forecast category and close date, so revenue and pipeline sit in one place.
list_plan_groups
Returns the plan groups used for filtering, with the plans each one contains, so questions about a tier hit the right plans.
list_plans
Lists the subscription plans in your account, filterable by name, billing interval and source.
list_reference_data
Loads ChartMogul reference catalogues: currencies, customer statuses, countries, US states and regional groupings, the shared vocabulary behind every geographic question.
list_sales_pipeline_stages
Returns the stages of a pipeline with the number of opportunities, total pipeline MRR and probability-weighted MRR for each.
list_sales_pipelines
Lists the sales pipelines set up in your account, the starting point before Claude looks at stages or deals.
list_segments
Lists the segments saved in your account, the filters your team already defined and named.
list_subscription_events
Reads the subscription event log for a customer or a source: starts, upgrades, cancellations and similar events.
list_tags
Lists customer tags with the number of customers carrying each one, a quick census of how your team labels accounts.
list_tasks
Lists tasks assigned to customers or contacts, filterable by status, assignee, due date and overdue state.
list_transactions
Retrieves payments and refunds for a customer or an invoice, filterable by type, result and date.
maps
Breaks MRR, ARPA and ASP down by region as a snapshot at a given date, a map of where your revenue lives.
maps_churn_ltv
Breaks customer churn rate and lifetime value down by country or region, as a snapshot at a given date.
metrics_by_plan
Returns key metrics for every plan as of today: MRR, ARR, ARPA and subscriber counts, in one table.
metrics_by_region
Lays out, region by region and as of today, the key metrics, including MRR, ARR, ARPA, retention, net payments and subscriber counts.
metrics_for_top_10_countries
Plots MRR, ARR and paid subscriber trends over time for your top 10 countries.
net_MRR
Details net MRR movements customer by customer, filterable by type of movement, so each expansion or contraction has a name attached.
net_MRR_summary
Totals net MRR movements per period: new business, expansion, contraction, churn and reactivation, the bridge from one month's MRR to the next.
non_subscription_customer_summary
Summarises statistics for customers who buy without a subscription, for chosen date intervals, kept apart from recurring revenue.
non_subscription_customer_trends
Plots count, average order value and average spend per customer for buyers without a subscription, over time.
non_subscription_customers
Lists customers who buy without a subscription, with their order value and payments received.
paid_subscriber_movements
Details MRR movements for paid subscribers, customer by customer, leaving free users out of the picture.
retention
Returns net MRR, gross MRR and customer retention rate tables over time, the three views of how well you keep what you won.
sales_cycle
Details sales cycle length customer by customer, so a slow close has an account name on it.
sales_cycle_length_trends
Plots the average sales cycle length over time, with the table behind it, so a slower or faster close shows up as a trend.
sales_cycle_summary
Summarises sales cycle length statistics for a date range, the short answer to how long a deal takes.
scenario_analysis
Forecasts revenue and subscriber counts, with optional what-if scenarios on new business, churn or pricing.
search_all
Runs a full-text search across customers, contacts, notes, tasks, opportunities, emails and saved sidebar items, when you do not know where something is.
search_custom_attributes
Searches free text across every customer custom attribute value in the account, catching values nobody standardised.
search_customers
Finds customers with filters on status, plan, tag, source, owner, date fields and more, the workhorse behind most account questions.
subscriber_movement_summary
Aggregates the counts of MRR movements for paid subscribers: how many upgrades, downgrades, churns and so on, rather than their value.
subscribers
Plots subscriber and subscription counts and their growth rates over time, the volume side of your recurring business.
subscription_movements
Goes one level below the customer and details MRR movements subscription by subscription, for paid subscriptions only.
subscription_quantity
Details quantity shifts on paid subscriptions, such as seats, filterable by MRR movement type.
trial_conversion_trends
Plots trial-to-paid and trial-to-free-or-paid conversion rates over time, so an onboarding effect shows up as a curve.
trial_conversions
Details trial conversions customer by customer, to paid or to free or paid, with the accounts named.
Not documented (2)
2 toolsThe directory publishes these two names, but ChartMogul's tool table has no line for them. This page will not guess from a name.
free_and_paid_subscriber_movements
This name sits on the directory sheet with no matching line in ChartMogul's tool table, and no other source describes it. This page will not guess what it returns from its name alone.
list_saved_charts_and_lists
Another name the directory sheet lists without any matching description: ChartMogul's table has a line with a similar label but not this exact name, and no other source mentions it.
What Claude asks before it acts
By default, Claude stops and asks for your go-ahead before any action it takes on an account for you. ChartMogul connects with read-only access, no source says whether a lookup triggers that prompt, and data is only fetched in response to what you ask.
On a Team or Enterprise workspace, owners decide whether members may let some actions through without being asked. They can also cap what a connector may do for the whole organisation, and nobody overrides that from their own account. On ChartMogul's side, only Owners, Admins, Staff and Read-only team members can use the server, and team member details stay reserved to admins. Claude never sees more than your ChartMogul role allows.
Which plans this works on
None of the 819 sheets in the official directory shows plan availability. The per-connector answer is published nowhere, and that is a real gap in the catalogue.
The general rule is published: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner switches the connector on for the organisation before each member can sign in. For the current state of this one, check the ChartMogul sheet in the official directory.
Where this connector stops
A connector is not an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers you: nothing starts when MRR drops, a trial ends or a payment fails.
Only ChartMogul documents this connector; neither Claude's help centre nor Anthropic's developer docs have a page on it. By default, its sheet only exposes reading, an observed floor and not a guarantee: an administrator may open actions that no public sheet shows. The partner badge is not a security audit, and Anthropic says on every sheet that it does not choose the tools a publisher exposes or guarantee how they behave. Plug in what comes from a publisher you trust, here ChartMogul itself.
