What changes once Claude can query your finance data
Links is a platform finance teams use to pull operational and billing systems into one place. Through Links Connect, Claude can query the records Links has already synced from tools like HubSpot and Stripe. You ask "do we have unpaid invoices this month?" and Claude looks it up instead of you exporting a spreadsheet.
Check billing without opening Stripe. links__mcp__get_stripe_invoice and links__mcp__get_stripe_customer return synced invoices and customers, so Claude can list what is still open or who a charge belongs to.
Read the pipeline in one question. links__mcp__get_hubspot_deal brings back synced deals, which lets Claude summarize outstanding and won deals for the year so far.
Connect a person to an account. links__mcp__get_hubspot_contact and links__mcp__get_hubspot_company return contact and company records, enough to answer which people sit under a given customer.
What Claude will not do here: Links states that no tool creates, updates or deletes data, and none calls HubSpot or Stripe live. Claude reads what Links synced earlier, so a payment made since the last sync may not be there yet. A tool also exists only for objects you enabled in Links. And nothing runs on its own: Claude queries only while it answers you. If you want a flow that fires by itself, that is the job of an automation tool; the Integrations hub covers that side.
Five words before you connect
The terms you will meet around this connector.
- Connector
- A link you set up once between Claude and an account you already have, so Claude can work with it while it answers.
- Tool
- One named capability the connector gives Claude. It decides which to call mid-answer; the directory lists each tool by name.
- Authorization
- The service's own sign-in and consent screen, where you grant the access Claude will use. Once per person, and revocable.
- Approval
- The confirmation Claude waits for before an action that changes an account, shown in the conversation when it matters.
- MCP
- The shared standard connectors run on, which is what lets an assistant like Claude reach an outside service.
Connect Links Connect to Claude in three steps
- 01
Find Links Connect
Open Claude's settings, go to Customize then Connectors, and search for Links Connect. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner enables the connector before members can each sign in.
- 02
Sign in to Links
Click Connect on its row, then log in with your Links account in the window Links opens. If the link stops working, Disconnect and connect again; Links says disconnecting revokes Claude's access at once.
- 03
Review the consent screen
Links shows a consent screen listing the permissions Claude asks for. Read it before you allow it: it belongs to Links, not to Claude, and it is what defines the access. You can take that access back later.
The 8 tools: 7 that read, 1 undocumented
Links Connect gives Claude 8 tools: 7 that read your account, 0 that change something in it, and 1 no official source describes.
Tool names stay exactly as Claude shows them, with the links__mcp__ prefix the directory uses. Each returns synced records, paged and filterable on the columns its source exposes.

What Claude reads (7)
7 toolsSeven tools that query records Links has already synced. Links states none of them modifies data.
links__mcp__get_hubspot_contact
Returns synced HubSpot contacts with fields such as name, email, phone, job title, address and the company they belong to. Claude can filter on any of those columns.
links__mcp__get_hubspot_company
Pulls the company records synced from HubSpot, including name, domain, phone, location and industry, so Claude can look an account up or group accounts by sector.
links__mcp__get_hubspot_deal
Brings back synced deals, the object Links files under deal management. Like the rest of the catalog, it pages its results and accepts filters on the columns its source exposes.
links__mcp__get_hubspot_product
Lists the products synced from HubSpot's product catalog, which Links files under product management. Results come back paged and filterable on the columns the source exposes.
links__mcp__get_stripe_customer
Queries the Stripe customers Links has synced into your workspace, filterable on the fields Stripe returns. Claude uses it to identify who a charge or invoice relates to.
links__mcp__get_stripe_product
Reads the product list from Stripe in the state Links last synced it. Claude can look a product up by any returned field, or use the list to put a name on what a subscription or an invoice line actually sells.
links__mcp__get_stripe_invoice
Returns the Stripe invoices Links has synced, up to 100 per page and filterable on their fields. From there, Claude can single out for instance the ones still unpaid or issued in a given month.
Undocumented (1)
1 toolThe directory publishes this name and nothing else. No official text describes it, and this page will not guess from the name.
links__mcp__get_insurance_policy
This name appears on the directory sheet and in no page of the Links tool catalog we read. No official source says what it returns, so this page says nothing more about it.
What Claude checks with you first
By default, Claude stops and asks for confirmation before each action it takes on an account for someone.
Links documents a consent screen when you first connect, and nothing about a confirmation per tool call, so the default rule applies to all eight tools. On Team and Enterprise, workspace owners decide whether members may let some actions through without a prompt, and they can restrict a connector for the whole organization. Claude also inherits your rights: Links scopes every answer to your own organization's data, and Claude cannot see beyond what your account reaches.
Which plans this works on
Plan availability is published for no single connector: 0 of the 819 directory sheets shows it.
The published rule is general. Remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile, and on Team and Enterprise an Owner or Primary Owner enables the connector before members connect. Links' own troubleshooting table names specific plans; the limits section quotes it next to Anthropic's rule. For the live state on your account, check the Links Connect sheet in the official directory.
Where this connector stops
A connector is not an automation. Claude queries Links while it answers you, so no tool reacts when an invoice is paid or a deal closes.
By default the sheet exposes reading only, and Links goes further: it calls every tool strictly read-only. Treat that as the observed floor; an administrator can still open actions no public sheet shows. Only Links documents this connector, no Claude help page does. The partner badge is not a security audit, and Anthropic notes on every sheet that it does not choose a publisher's tools or guarantee them.
Which Claude plans can use Links Connect?
- Claude help center, general connector rule ↗September 2026Remote connectors are open to all users; on Team and Enterprise an Owner must enable each one first.
- Links, Connect to Claude page ↗October 2026 (read date)Its troubleshooting table tells you to confirm you are on a Claude Pro or Team plan if the login page does not load.
What this page followsNeither side is outdated and they do not cover the same ground: Anthropic gives a rule for all connectors, Links writes about its own. It is the publisher speaking, in a troubleshooting line, not Anthropic. Check the directory sheet on your own account before trusting either.
