What the Zoom for Claude connector changes after a meeting
You stop scrubbing through an hour of recording to find one sentence. Ask Claude what was said about the budget in this afternoon's call, and it looks through your Zoom meetings, their AI summaries and transcripts, and answers in the conversation, with the linked docs and recordings you already have access to.
Get the recap without rewatching. With search_meetings and get_meeting_assets, Claude finds the meeting you mean and pulls its AI summary, docs, recording and whiteboard.
Jump to the exact moment. get_recording_resource reaches the transcript, next steps and playback link. Zoom says that when you can open the cloud recording, an embedded player lands on the timestamp where the topic came up.
Turn the call into a follow-up. create_new_file_with_markdown produces a follow-up Zoom Canvas from Markdown, the plain text format with headings and lists, so your action items live in Zoom rather than in someone's inbox.
Where it falls short matters too. Most of this depends on two Zoom AI Companion features, Smart Recording and Meeting Summary; without them, Zoom warns the connector may do little. You only reach meetings you hosted or were given access to. Three of the nine tools are described by no source at all. And nothing runs by itself: no recap is posted when a meeting ends. Pulls what a past meeting left behind: its AI summary, docs, recording and whiteboard. You get the material itself in the conversation, ready for follow-up questions.

What Claude checks with you first
By default, Claude stops and asks before each action it takes on an account for someone. Zoom gives one concrete case: before a new Zoom Doc of action items is produced, Claude asks you to confirm, and the doc appears once you click Create.
On Team and Enterprise workspaces, owners decide whether members may let some actions run without a prompt each time. They can also limit what a connector may do across the whole organization, for example keeping search on and document creation off, and nobody overrides that from a personal account. Claude works with the rights of the person who connected and nothing more: Zoom adds that you only reach meetings you hosted or were given access to by the host.
Which plans include it
None of the 819 sheets in the official directory shows plan availability. The answer per connector is published nowhere, and that is a real gap in the catalog.
What is published is the general rule: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner opens a connector for the organization before members can each connect. Where the Zoom connector stops
A connector is not an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers you, so nothing happens by itself when a meeting ends or a recording is ready.
Zoom is candid about dependencies: the connector leans on AI Companion, and its Smart Recording and Meeting Summary features have to be on for full use. The partner badge in the directory is not a security audit, and Anthropic states on every sheet that it neither picks the tools a publisher exposes nor guarantees they behave as announced.
