Overview

What changes for your sales team

Instead of building filters in ZoomInfo and exporting lists, you describe the accounts or people you want and Claude runs the search, enriches the shortlist and writes up a briefing. The connector reads your ZoomInfo license, credits and permissions as they are, and ZoomInfo asks for AI model training to be off first.

Build a prospect list in one message. search_companies and search_contacts find matches for free, then enrich_contact fills in details for up to 25 people at a time on Bulk Data credits.

Spot accounts that are moving. search_intent_signals shows companies with buyer intent signals and search_scoops surfaces real-world business events, so reps call at the right moment rather than on a fixed cadence.

Walk into meetings briefed. account_research and contact_research each produce a full intelligence briefing on a company or a person, charged as AI Actions.

What it will not do: save a result set as a new audience. The sheet's description promises it, but no documented tool does it. Nothing runs by itself either, and only one tool changes anything, your go-to-market context. And it only sees what your license covers. For recurring list syncs into another tool, see the ZoomInfo Make integration.

Vocabulary

The vocabulary in one minute

Five words you will meet while plugging ZoomInfo in.

Connector
The link you set up once between Claude and an account you already have, so Claude can work in it while it answers you.
Tool
One named action the connector opens to Claude. Claude picks the ones it needs on its own; the directory lists them by name.
Authorization
The sign-in screen of the service itself, where you hand Claude the access it will use. Given once per person, revocable anytime.
Approval
The confirmation Claude waits for before it finishes an action that changes your account, shown right in the conversation.
MCP
The shared standard connectors are built on: it is what lets an assistant like Claude talk to an outside service such as ZoomInfo.
Connect

Connect ZoomInfo to Claude in three steps

  1. 01

    Find ZoomInfo in Claude

In Claude's settings, open Customize, then Connectors, and look for ZoomInfo in the list. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner has to enable the connector first so each member can sign in.

  2. 02

    Start the connection

Click Connect on its row, then sign in with your ZoomInfo credentials or your company's single sign-on in the window ZoomInfo opens. If the link breaks, Disconnect and connect again.

  3. 03

    Read the authorization screen

Go through ZoomInfo's access screen before approving. It belongs to the service, not to Claude, and it sets what the access covers. That access can be withdrawn later from the ZoomInfo side too.

What Claude reads (15)

15 tools

Fifteen tools that search, enrich or brief without changing your ZoomInfo setup. Some spend credits.

search_contacts

Finds people by role, company or signal across ZoomInfo's professional data, the usual starting point when you build a prospect list. ZoomInfo lists it as free of credits.

When it helps
you need heads of procurement at logistics firms in Germany before a trade fair.
Watch out
search returns profiles to review; full contact details come from enrichment.

Sourcedocs.gtm.ai · July 21, 2026 ↗

enrich_contact

Brings back complete contact details for up to 25 people in one go, the record ZoomInfo holds on each of them.

When it helps
a shortlist from the search is ready and your reps need direct lines before calling.
Watch out
ZoomInfo bills it against Bulk Data credits, unlike most search tools.

Sourcedocs.gtm.ai · July 21, 2026 ↗

search_companies

Looks up companies by firmographic criteria, such as industry, size or location, without spending credits according to ZoomInfo.

When it helps
marketing wants every mid-size fintech in Spain for an account-based campaign.
Watch out
it lists matches; the full company profile needs the enrichment tool.

Sourcedocs.gtm.ai · July 21, 2026 ↗

enrich_company

Returns the full firmographic profile of up to 25 companies per call.

When it helps
a territory plan needs complete data on the thirty accounts a new rep inherits.
Watch out
Bulk Data credits apply here, so enrich only the accounts you will actually work.

Sourcedocs.gtm.ai · July 21, 2026 ↗

account_research

Produces a full intelligence briefing on one company, ready to read in the conversation.

When it helps
you meet a prospect's leadership tomorrow and want one document covering what matters.
Watch out
ZoomInfo charges it as an AI Action, a separate credit type.

Sourcedocs.gtm.ai · July 21, 2026 ↗

contact_research

Builds a detailed briefing on one person, from what ZoomInfo holds about that contact.

When it helps
you are about to call a VP you have never spoken with and want their background first.
Watch out
it uses AI Action credits, like the account briefing.

Sourcedocs.gtm.ai · July 21, 2026 ↗

find_similar_contacts

Takes one person as a model and surfaces people with a similar profile elsewhere.

When it helps
the champion who signed last quarter was a head of revenue operations, and you want peers at other accounts.
Watch out
similar profiles are suggestions; ZoomInfo still counts on you to qualify them.

Sourcedocs.gtm.ai · July 21, 2026 ↗

find_similar_companies

Starts from one company and finds others that resemble it, a quick way to widen a target list from your best customers.

When it helps
your top three customers are all regional insurers and you want ten more like them.

Sourcedocs.gtm.ai · July 21, 2026 ↗

browse_audiences

Lists and searches the audiences saved in your GTM Studio, the lists your team already built in ZoomInfo.

When it helps
you remember a list of churned accounts someone saved in spring but not its exact name.
Watch out
it shows audiences your ZoomInfo access can reach, not every list in the company.

Sourcedocs.gtm.ai · July 21, 2026 ↗

get_audience

Opens one audience to show its columns and a preview of its rows, so Claude can work from a list without exporting it.

When it helps
before a reactivation campaign, you want a quick look at who is on the dormant accounts list.
Watch out
it previews rows; the whole list may be longer than what comes back.

Sourcedocs.gtm.ai · July 21, 2026 ↗

get_gtm_context

Retrieves your role and the go-to-market context set up for your organization, as ZoomInfo stores it.

When it helps
a new rep asks Claude to tailor research to the way your company sells, not to generic advice.
Watch out
if nobody set up this context, the briefings have little to tailor from.

Sourcedocs.gtm.ai · July 21, 2026 ↗

search_scoops

Finds companies through real-world business events ZoomInfo calls scoops, a way to find accounts through what just happened to them.

When it helps
you want accounts with a fresh business event before a competitor hears about it.
Watch out
a scoop is news, not a confirmed opportunity; check it before calling.

Sourcedocs.gtm.ai · July 21, 2026 ↗

search_intent_signals

Surfaces companies showing buyer intent, in the form of the intent signals ZoomInfo tracks.

When it helps
sales leadership asks which accounts in your region are actively looking at your category this month.
Watch out
intent points to interest, not to a confirmed project; check before pitching.

Sourcedocs.gtm.ai · July 21, 2026 ↗

lookup

Lists the accepted values for filters such as industries, regions or job functions, so searches use terms ZoomInfo recognizes.

When it helps
a search for CFOs returns nothing and you suspect the job function label is spelled differently.
Watch out
it returns filter values only, never companies or people.

What Claude changes (1)

1 tool

One tool that writes to your ZoomInfo configuration. No specific confirmation is documented for it.

update_gtm_context

Approval: see the rule

Creates or updates your go-to-market context by turning unstructured material, like notes or a positioning memo, into structured configuration inside ZoomInfo.

What Claude asks for
no confirmation specific to this tool is documented; the general approvals rule below covers it.
When it helps
your team refreshed its ideal customer profile and you want the research tools to follow it.
Watch out
it spends AI Action credits and changes what later briefings rely on.

Not documented (5)

5 tools

The directory publishes these five names and nothing more. No official text says what they do, and this page will not guess from a name.

enrich_company_signals

The directory lists this name and nothing more. ZoomInfo's tools page describes its tools under display labels, and none of them matches this one, so this page does not say what it returns or does.

Watch out
whatever it does, the general approvals rule below covers it.

conversation_intelligence

Same silence: the name is on the sheet, and no ZoomInfo or Claude page describes it. Reading a capability into the wording of a name would be a guess, so the gap stays visible here.

Watch out
it falls under the same approval rule as the rest of the list.

browse_engagements

Listed on the directory sheet, absent from ZoomInfo's published list of tools. Nothing official says what it covers, and this page will not fill that in.

Watch out
the default approvals rule applies to it like to any other tool.

search_news

No source describes this one either. ZoomInfo documents a news tool under a different label, and this page does not assume the two are the same thing.

Watch out
whatever it returns, Claude's general rule on asking first covers it.

submit_feedback

The sheet carries this name; neither ZoomInfo's tools page nor its setup guide mentions it. Its behavior is therefore not documented anywhere official, and this page does not fill the gap.

Watch out
the general approvals rule covers it, as for every tool listed.
Approvals

What Claude asks before acting

By default, Claude stops and asks for your go-ahead before any action it takes on an account for you. The request shows up in the conversation, when it matters.

ZoomInfo does not describe a confirmation of its own for update_gtm_context, so the default rule covers it. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, owners decide whether a member may let some actions through without being asked each time, and they can cap what a connector may do for everyone, keeping reads and closing writes. That setting binds everyone. And ZoomInfo is explicit: an agent can only do what your ZoomInfo account allows.

Plans

Which plans this is available on

None of the 819 sheets in the official directory shows availability per plan. Connector by connector, the answer is published nowhere: a real gap in the catalogue.

The general rule is published: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner enables the connector for the organization before each member can sign in. On the ZoomInfo side, a license is required. For the current state, the ZoomInfo sheet in the official directory is the only place that shows it.

Limits

Where this connector stops

A connector is not an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers you: nothing starts when intent spikes or a scoop lands on one of your accounts.

Only the publisher documents this connector: no Claude help article covers it, so the details here come from ZoomInfo's own guides. Its tools page uses display labels rather than the names on the sheet, which is why five tools stay undocumented. The tool list is an observed floor, not a promise. The partner badge is not a security audit, and Anthropic says on every sheet that it does not choose the tools a publisher exposes nor guarantee their behavior. For other connectors, browse the Integrations hub.

FAQ

Claude ZoomInfo connector: frequent questions

01What can Claude do with the ZoomInfo connector?
Claude can search and enrich ZoomInfo's B2B data and turn it into research from the conversation. Its documented tools find companies and contacts, enrich up to 25 records per call, suggest lookalikes and recommended contacts, surface intent signals and business event scoops, open your saved audiences, read your go-to-market context and produce account or contact briefings. One tool updates that context. Five more tools are listed on the sheet without any official description.
02Can Claude change data in my ZoomInfo account?
Only in one documented place. update_gtm_context creates or updates your go-to-market context by turning unstructured notes into structured configuration, which later briefings rely on. Every other documented tool reads, searches or enriches without changing your records. The sheet's description mentions saving results as an audience, but no documented tool does that. Five undocumented tools remain, and nothing official says whether they read or write, so treat them as unknown until ZoomInfo documents them.
03Does Claude ask before acting in ZoomInfo?
By default, yes: Claude asks for confirmation before any action it takes on an account for you. ZoomInfo does not describe an extra check for update_gtm_context, so the default rule is what covers it. Note that spending credits is a different matter: no source says Claude warns you before an enrichment or a briefing draws on your balance. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, owners decide whether members may skip certain requests.
04Which Claude plans is the ZoomInfo connector available on?
No official source publishes plan availability connector by connector, and no directory sheet displays it. The general rule says remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile, with an Owner enabling each connector first on Team and Enterprise. The publisher's guide names no Claude plan; what it requires is its own license. The directory sheet remains the place showing the current state for your account.
05Does Claude see all of ZoomInfo's data?
No, Claude sees what your ZoomInfo license and account allow. ZoomInfo says your plan, API limits, credits and feature availability apply to every call, and that agents can only perform actions your account permits. Enrichment and briefings also need available credits. On the Claude side, a Team or Enterprise owner can further restrict what the connector may do for everyone, and a member cannot lift that restriction from their own account.
06Which ZoomInfo tools spend credits through Claude?
According to ZoomInfo, searches, lookups, lookalikes, recommended contacts, intent and scoop searches, audiences and your go-to-market context are free. Enriching companies or contacts draws on Bulk Data credits, up to 25 records per call. Account research, contact research and updating your go-to-market context are charged as AI Actions. Asking Claude to enrich a long list therefore spends credits in batches of up to 25, so check your balance in ZoomInfo before large runs.
07Claude or an automation tool for ZoomInfo?
They serve different needs, so it depends on the task. Claude works inside a conversation: you describe the accounts you want, it searches, enriches and briefs you, and nothing else happens once you stop typing. It does not react on its own when intent spikes. For a nightly sync of enriched records into your CRM, an automation tool does that job. For ad hoc prospecting and meeting prep, the connector fits better.
