What you can automate

What can the ZoomInfo Make integration do for you?

The ZoomInfo Make integration lets a Make scenario (the automation you build in Make, a chain of steps) look up companies, contacts and scoops in ZoomInfo, then pass the results to your other apps. Each step is a module, and ZoomInfo offers 14 of them, mostly searches.

A cleaner lead list. When a new lead lands in your CRM or a form tool, Search Contacts finds the matching people in ZoomInfo and Enrich Contact fills in the profile, so reps stop pasting details by hand.

Account research on demand. Search Companies, then Enrich Hierarchy and Enrich Location, give your team the parent company and the sites of an account before a call. Pair it with a CRM such as the one in the Agile CRM Make integration.

Signals worth a follow-up. Search Scoops and Get a Scoop bring ZoomInfo scoops about a company into a shared table, for example through the Airtable Make integration.

What the integration does not do: ZoomInfo has no trigger in Make, so nothing starts on its own from ZoomInfo. Your scenario starts from another app or from a schedule. Also note that Make labels its ZoomInfo documentation as AI-generated and asks you to verify important details with ZoomInfo.

ZoomInfo often has an n8n counterpart too. If you are weighing both tools, read n8n vs Make before you commit.

Connect

How do you connect your ZoomInfo account to Make?

  1. 01

    Add a ZoomInfo module

Log in to Make, open your scenario, add any ZoomInfo module and click Create a connection. A connection is your ZoomInfo account linked to Make once, then reused by every ZoomInfo module you add later.

  2. 02

    Name the connection

The Connection name field is optional. A clear name, such as the team or the ZoomInfo account it belongs to, helps when several people share the same Make organization and pick connections from a list.

  3. 03

    Paste your ZoomInfo credentials

In ZoomInfo, open the Admin Portal, then API & Webhooks, and click Generate New Token. Copy the Client ID and the Client secret shown on screen, paste them into Make and save.

First scenario

Your first scenario: enrich a new lead's company

GoalWhen a new lead reaches your CRM, Make searches ZoomInfo for the company and returns an enriched company profile.

  1. 01

    Create the scenario

On the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the +. Pick the app where your leads arrive, for example your CRM, and choose its module for new records.

  2. 02

    Add Search Companies

Click the + on the right of that first module, search for ZoomInfo and pick Search Companies. Select your ZoomInfo connection, or click Create a connection if this is your first time.

  3. 03

    Map the lead's company

Fill the search criteria by mapping the company data from the lead module. Mapping means dragging a value from the previous module into a field, so each new lead feeds its own search.

  4. 04

    Add Enrich Company

Click the + again, pick Enrich Company and map the company returned by Search Companies. Each item passed between modules is a bundle, here one company.

  5. 05

    Test with Run once

Click Run once to execute the scenario one time. Open the bubbles above each module to read the bundles it received and check that the enriched company looks right.

  6. 06

    Schedule and switch on

Set the schedule on the first module (every 15 minutes by default) and switch the scenario on. Each module run on a bundle counts as one operation on your Make plan.

Modules

What each ZoomInfo module does

ZoomInfo gives you 14 modules. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

ZoomInfo1

Get Usage

Action

In MakeRetrieves current usage status.

Get Usage tells you the current usage status of your ZoomInfo access, straight from inside a scenario, so you know where you stand before launching a batch of lookups.

When to use it
place it at the start of a scenario that enriches many records, and route the flow based on what it returns.
Watch out
the doc does not detail the fields it returns, so run it once and read the bundle first.
ZoomInfo2

Make an API Call

Action

In MakePerforms an arbitrary authorized API call.

Make an API Call gives you access to any endpoint of the ZoomInfo API with the connection you already set up, which covers whatever the listed modules leave out.

When to use it
a ZoomInfo feature you need has no dedicated module in the list.
Watch out
you write the request yourself, so keep the ZoomInfo API reference open and test with Run once before going live.
ZoomInfo3

Enrich Company

Search

In MakeEnriches company information by its unique identifier.

Enrich Company returns a fuller picture of one company when you already hold its ZoomInfo identifier, ready to be written into your CRM or a sheet.

When to use it
right after Search Companies or Get a Company, to complete an account record your sales team is about to work.
Watch out
it works from the unique identifier, not from a company name typed by hand.
ZoomInfo4

Enrich Contact

Search

In MakeEnriches contact information by its unique identifier.

Enrich Contact completes the profile of one person from their ZoomInfo identifier, so a bare lead turns into a record your reps can actually use.

When to use it
after Search Contacts has found the right person, when a form submission or a CRM lead needs more context before outreach.
Watch out
map the identifier from the previous module, since a name alone is not what this module expects.
ZoomInfo5

Enrich Hierarchy

Search

In MakeEnriches company corporate hierarchy information by its unique identifier.

Enrich Hierarchy shows where a company sits in its corporate family, using its ZoomInfo identifier, which helps you spot a parent account or sister companies.

When to use it
account-based selling, when a deal with a subsidiary could open doors at the group level.
Watch out
each company you enrich is a separate run of the module, and each run counts as an operation on your Make plan.
ZoomInfo6

Enrich Location

Search

In MakeEnriches company location information by its Company ID.

Enrich Location adds the location details ZoomInfo holds for a company, looked up by its Company ID, so territory and routing rules have something solid to work with.

When to use it
assigning a new account to the right regional rep or field team.
Watch out
you need the Company ID first, so place Search Companies or Get a Company before it.
ZoomInfo7

Enrich Scoop

Search

In MakeEnriches company scoop information by its company identifier.

Enrich Scoop pulls the scoop information ZoomInfo has on a company, based on its company identifier, giving your team a reason to reach out that goes beyond a cold intro.

When to use it
preparing an account brief before a sales call or a renewal meeting.
Watch out
it starts from the company identifier, not from a scoop, so find the company first.
ZoomInfo8

Get a Company

Search

In MakeReturns information about a company by its unique identifier.

Get a Company fetches one company's information from ZoomInfo when you already know its unique identifier, a quick way to refresh a record you stored earlier.

When to use it
your CRM keeps the ZoomInfo ID on each account and you want to check the latest details.
Watch out
without an identifier, start with Search Companies instead, which works from criteria.
ZoomInfo9

Get a Contact

Search

In MakeReturns information about a contact by its unique identifier.

Get a Contact reads one person's information from ZoomInfo by their unique identifier, which keeps a saved contact up to date without searching again.

When to use it
a deal moves forward and you want the current details of the champion stored in your CRM.
Watch out
if you only have a name or an email, Search Contacts is the module to pick.
ZoomInfo10

Get a Scoop

Search

In MakeReturns information about a company scoop by its company identifier.

Get a Scoop returns a company scoop from ZoomInfo using the company identifier, handy when a single account matters more than a whole list of signals.

When to use it
a key account comes up in your pipeline and you want one of its scoops posted to the team channel.
Watch out
to browse scoops across many companies, Search Scoops fits better than looping on this module.
ZoomInfo11

List Company's Enrich Fields

Search

In MakeRetrieves a list of fields you can specify as output for the company enrich endpoint.

List Company's Enrich Fields shows which output fields you can request from company enrichment, so you ask ZoomInfo for exactly the data your CRM has room for.

When to use it
while designing an Enrich Company step, before you decide which columns to fill.
Watch out
it lists fields, it does not enrich anything, so it rarely belongs in a scenario that runs on a schedule.
ZoomInfo12

Search Companies

Search

In MakeReturns a list of companies that meet the specified search criteria.

Search Companies finds every ZoomInfo company matching the criteria you set, which turns a vague prospect idea into a concrete list of accounts.

When to use it
building a target list, or matching a company name from a form to a real ZoomInfo record.
Watch out
a search can return zero, one or many bundles, and every module after it runs once per company found.
ZoomInfo13

Search Contacts

Search

In MakeReturns a list of contacts that meet the specified search criteria.

Search Contacts returns the people in ZoomInfo who match your criteria, so you can find the decision makers at an account without leaving your workflow.

When to use it
a new account enters your pipeline and you need the right contacts to start outreach.
Watch out
broad criteria bring back many bundles, and each one triggers the following modules, so narrow the search before you switch the scenario on.
ZoomInfo14

Search Scoops

Search

In MakeReturns a list of Scoops which meet the specified search criteria.

Search Scoops brings back the ZoomInfo scoops that meet your criteria, a way to watch for signals across your market rather than one account at a time.

When to use it
feeding a shared table that your sales team reviews to decide who to call next.
Watch out
an empty result is normal when nothing matches, so test with Run once and check what came back.

FAQ

ZoomInfo and Make: common questions

01Is the ZoomInfo Make integration free?
Yes, on the Make side. ZoomInfo is a standard app, available from the Make Free plan. That plan allows 2 active scenarios, runs scheduled scenarios at most every 15 minutes, and stops a run after 5 minutes. Paid plans lower the interval to 1 minute and remove the cap on active scenarios. On the ZoomInfo side, you still need an active ZoomInfo account with a valid API key, and ZoomInfo sets its own subscription terms.
02What is needed to connect ZoomInfo to Make?
Two things: an active ZoomInfo account and a valid API key. In the ZoomInfo Admin Portal, open API & Webhooks and click Generate New Token, then copy the Client ID and Client secret. In Make, add a ZoomInfo module, click Create a connection and paste both values. If ZoomInfo asks for a callback URI, use the one given in the Make documentation for ZoomInfo. The optional Connection name field simply helps your team tell connections apart later.
03Does the ZoomInfo Make integration react in real time?
No, because ZoomInfo has no trigger module in Make. Nothing in ZoomInfo can start a scenario by itself. You have two ways to start one anyway: put a trigger from another app first, such as a CRM or a form tool, or let the scenario run on its schedule, every 15 minutes by default. If the first app offers an instant trigger, which fires through a webhook as soon as something happens, your ZoomInfo lookups follow right after.
04What if a ZoomInfo module is missing in Make?
Use Make an API Call. It reaches any endpoint of the ZoomInfo API with the connection you already created, so you are not limited to the 14 listed modules. You write the request yourself, so test it with Run once. One more point: Make marks its ZoomInfo documentation as AI-generated content and advises checking important details with ZoomInfo directly, which is worth doing before you rely on a module in production.
05Make or n8n for ZoomInfo?
It depends on what you need to build. On the Make side, the facts are clear: 14 ready modules, mostly searches and enrichment, plus Make an API Call for anything else, and a start on the Free plan. The same app often exists as an n8n node as well. Compare the list of operations each tool offers with your use case, and pick the one your team will actually maintain. A quick test: check that the searches you rely on exist on both sides.
