What you can automate

What can the CPV Lab Make integration do for you?

The CPV Lab Make integration links your CPV Lab account to Make, a visual tool where you build a scenario (the automation itself, a chain of modules). Each module is one brick: here, an action that writes to CPV Lab or a search that reads from it. You get offers, landing pages and campaign stats moving between CPV Lab and your other apps without code.

Offers that set themselves up. A new offer arrives in a form or a shared sheet. Make runs Create an offer, then Add an offer to a campaign, and the campaign can test it without anyone retyping the details.

A stats report nobody has to build. Search campaign performance stats and Search campaign offer stats pull the figures, and the next module drops them into the sheet or chat your media buyers already read.

Landing pages kept in step. When your design team ships a new page, Create a landing page registers it and Add a landing page to a campaign puts it in rotation; Update a landing page handles later edits.

What Make does not do here: CPV Lab has no trigger module, so it cannot wake a scenario on its own. The scenario starts on a schedule or on another app's event. Also note that the CPV Lab page in Make's documentation is flagged as AI-generated and asks you to verify important details with CPV Lab directly.

Connect

How do you connect CPV Lab to Make?

  1. 01

Grab your CPV Lab API key

Make talks to CPV Lab through its API, so you need an active CPV Lab Pro account with API access enabled. In CPV Lab, open the section that manages API credentials or API access, and copy your unique API key.

  2. 02

    Click Create a connection

In your scenario, add any CPV Lab module and click Create a connection. A connection is your CPV Lab account linked to Make once. The Connection name field is optional, but a clear name helps if you run several accounts.

  3. 03

    Paste the key and save

Enter the credentials you copied from CPV Lab, or follow the on-screen instructions, then save. From now on, all 16 CPV Lab modules reuse this same connection, so you never paste the key twice.

First scenario

Build your first scenario with CPV Lab

GoalWhen a new offer shows up in another app, Make creates it in CPV Lab and adds it to a campaign.

  1. 01

    Create the scenario

Open the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the big + to add the first module. This first slot decides when the whole automation starts.

  2. 02

Start from the app that holds your offers

CPV Lab has no trigger, so the flow opens on another app: the form or sheet where new offers land. Search that app by name, pick its trigger and connect it.

  3. 03

    Add Create an offer

Click the + on the right, search CPV Lab and pick Create an offer. Use your connection, then map the offer details from the previous module into the fields Make shows.

  4. 04

Chain Add an offer to a campaign

Add one more module, Add an offer to a campaign. Choose the campaign from the list Make reads from your account, and map the offer created one step earlier.

  5. 05

    Test it with Run once

Click Run once to execute the scenario one time, then open each module to read its bundles (one bundle is one item passed to the next module). Run once is a real run, so test with a harmless offer.

  6. 06

    Schedule and switch it on

Set the schedule on the first module (every 15 minutes by default, and 15 minutes is also the Free plan minimum), then switch the scenario on.

Modules

What can each CPV Lab module do?

CPV Lab gives you 16 modules. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

CPV Lab1

Add a landing page to a campaign

ActionIn the docs only

Puts a landing page you already have in CPV Lab into one of your campaigns, so traffic can reach it without a trip through the campaign settings.

When to use it
right after Create a landing page, when a fresh page should join a campaign that is already running.
Watch out
both the page and the campaign must exist before this module runs, so place it after the modules that create or find them.
CPV Lab2

Add an offer to a campaign

ActionIn the docs only

Links an offer to a campaign, which is the step that lets the campaign actually send visitors to it.

When to use it
an affiliate manager hands you a new offer and you want a live campaign to start testing it straight away.
Watch out
it handles one offer per bundle, so if an earlier search returns several offers, each one runs this module again, and each run is one operation on your Make plan.
CPV Lab3

Create a landing page

ActionIn the docs only

Registers a new landing page in your CPV Lab account from data another app passes to Make, instead of someone typing it into the CPV Lab interface.

When to use it
your designers list finished pages in a shared sheet and you want them in CPV Lab without copy and paste.
Watch out
creating the page does not place it in a campaign; chain Add a landing page to a campaign right after.
CPV Lab4

Create an offer

ActionIn the docs only

Adds a brand new offer to CPV Lab using details mapped from an earlier module, so your offer list grows without manual entry.

When to use it
offers reach you through a form or a partner sheet, and you want each one in CPV Lab the moment the scenario runs.
Watch out
Run once executes for real, so your test creates an actual offer in the account; use obvious test data.
CPV Lab5

List visitor

SearchIn the docs only

Reads visitors from CPV Lab and hands them to the next module as bundles, one visitor per bundle, ready to be sent somewhere else.

When to use it
you want visitor rows copied into a sheet or a database for a closer look outside CPV Lab.
Watch out
every module placed after it runs once per visitor returned, and each of those runs is an operation on your Make plan.
CPV Lab6

Make an API call

ActionIn the docs only

Opens the whole CPV Lab API to your scenario: you can call any endpoint of the API, using the same connection as the other modules.

When to use it
the task you have in mind is not covered by the 15 ready-made CPV Lab modules on this page.
Watch out
you describe the request yourself, so keep the CPV Lab API documentation open while you set it up.
CPV Lab7

Search campaign ad stats

SearchIn the docs only

Pulls the statistics of the ads inside a campaign, so you can see which ad does the work without exporting anything by hand.

When to use it
a creative review is coming up and the team wants ad figures laid out in one sheet.
Watch out
a search can return zero, one or many bundles; add an aggregator after it if you want everything grouped into a single message.
CPV Lab8

Search campaign landing pages stats

SearchIn the docs only

Returns the statistics of the landing pages running in a campaign, which tells you which page deserves the traffic and which one needs work.

When to use it
before you rework a page with Update a landing page, to pick the right one with numbers in hand.
Watch out
one bundle comes out per result, so a follow-up module writing to a sheet adds one row per page.
CPV Lab9

Search campaign offer stats

SearchIn the docs only

Brings back the statistics of each offer in a campaign, handy for spotting the offer that pays and the one that drags the campaign down.

When to use it
just before adding a new offer, to compare it with what is already in rotation.
Watch out
a campaign with no matching offers returns nothing, so check the bundles after Run once before trusting an empty report.
CPV Lab10

Search campaign performance stats

SearchIn the docs only

Fetches the overall performance figures of a campaign, the numbers a media buyer checks first before digging into ads or offers.

When to use it
you want a campaign summary posted to your team chat or appended to a reporting sheet by the scenario.
Watch out
scheduled runs on the Free plan are at least 15 minutes apart, so the summary cannot refresh more often than that.
CPV Lab11

Search campaign target stats

SearchIn the docs only

Returns the statistics broken down by the targets of a campaign, so you see which targets bring results and which ones just burn budget.

When to use it
a campaign is spending and you want the target view in a sheet where the whole team can comment on it.
Watch out
expect many bundles on a wide campaign; each extra module after it multiplies the operations counted.
CPV Lab12

Search campaigns

SearchIn the docs only

Finds campaigns in your CPV Lab account and passes them on, which gives the following modules the campaign they need to act on.

When to use it
as the first CPV Lab step of a scenario that later adds an offer or a landing page to a campaign.
Watch out
the search may match more than one campaign, and every match runs the next modules again.
CPV Lab13

Search conversions

SearchIn the docs only

Collects the conversions CPV Lab has recorded, so the results of your traffic can travel to the tools where you track revenue or leads.

When to use it
finance or sales wants conversions in their own sheet or CRM without asking the traffic team for an export.
Watch out
each conversion becomes its own bundle, so plan for the operations when conversion volume is high.
CPV Lab14

Search visitor stats

SearchIn the docs only

Returns statistics about your visitors rather than the visitors themselves, which keeps reports light when you only need the figures.

When to use it
you want visitor numbers in a report, and List visitor would hand you far more detail than that.
Watch out
the CPV Lab doc in Make is flagged as AI-generated, so confirm the figures against CPV Lab itself the first time.
CPV Lab15

Update a landing page

ActionIn the docs only

Changes a landing page that already exists in CPV Lab, so edits made elsewhere reach CPV Lab without anyone logging in.

When to use it
a page gets a new version on the design side and CPV Lab should follow as soon as the sheet is updated.
Watch out
Run once really edits the page, so test on a page you can afford to change.
CPV Lab16

Update an offer

ActionIn the docs only

Edits an existing offer in CPV Lab from data mapped out of another module, which keeps offer details aligned with what your partners send.

When to use it
an advertiser changes the terms of an offer and you log the change in the sheet your team shares.
Watch out
this module changes one offer per bundle; make sure the earlier step points at the right one before you switch the scenario on.

FAQ

Questions people ask next

01Is the CPV Lab Make integration free?
Yes, on the Make side. CPV Lab is a standard app, available from the Free plan. That plan allows 2 active scenarios, at least 15 minutes between scheduled runs, 5 minutes of execution per run, files up to 5 MB and 512 MB of data transfer. Paid plans (Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise) lower the interval to 1 minute and count usage in credits each month. On the CPV Lab side, the connection needs a Pro account with API access, which is a CPV Lab subscription and not something Make sells.
02What do you need to connect CPV Lab to Make?
An active CPV Lab Pro account with API access enabled, plus its unique API key. You copy the key from the part of CPV Lab that manages API credentials. In Make, you add any CPV Lab module, click Create a connection, optionally fill in Connection name, and paste the credentials. The connection is then shared by all 16 modules, so you set it up once per CPV Lab account. If you later add a second CPV Lab account, create a second connection.
03Can CPV Lab start a Make scenario on its own?
No. None of the 16 CPV Lab modules is a trigger, so CPV Lab cannot tell Make that something happened. You start the scenario in one of two ways: on a schedule, which Make sets to every 15 minutes by default on the first module, or with the trigger of another app, such as the form or sheet where your offers come in. The CPV Lab modules then act or search in the steps that follow.
04What if the CPV Lab module you need is missing in Make?
Use Make an API call. It is one of the 16 modules and lets you call any endpoint of the CPV Lab API with the same connection as the others, so you are not limited to the 7 actions and 9 searches listed here. You write the request yourself from the CPV Lab API documentation. Since Make flags its CPV Lab page as AI-generated, check important details with CPV Lab before relying on them.
05Should you use Make or n8n for CPV Lab?
It depends on what each tool offers for CPV Lab when you compare them. On Make, you get 16 ready-made modules covering offers, landing pages, campaigns and stats, plus Make an API call for everything else, all on the Free plan. Before choosing n8n, check whether it has a CPV Lab node that covers the same tasks. Pick the tool whose modules match your scenario and that your team already knows how to maintain.
