What you can automate

What does the Flixcheck Make integration let you automate?

The Flixcheck Make integration links your Flixcheck account to Make, so a scenario (the automation you build in Make, a chain of bricks) can act in Flixcheck for you. Every one of its 8 modules is an action: something else has to start the scenario, and Flixcheck does the work in the middle or at the end.

Turn each new request into a check. A form from another app starts the scenario, and Check erstellen (German for "create check") opens a new check in Flixcheck with the data you mapped. Nobody copies details by hand anymore.

Pull a check back into your other tools. Check abrufen ("retrieve check") reads an existing check so a later module can write its details to a sheet, a CRM or a chat message.

Reach what the named modules leave out. API Aufruf ("API call") is the open door of the app when none of the other seven fits your case.

Know the limits before you start. The Make doc for this app lists no module groups, no field descriptions and no official connection steps, and it warns that its content is AI-generated and may contain mistakes. Several module names (Check versendet, Check geöffnet, Check erstellt) sound like events, yet Make types them as actions, so test each one with Run once before you build on it. For a first look at the tool itself, read our Make review; if your team prefers guided learning, Make training covers the editor from scratch. Flixcheck may also have an n8n node, and n8n vs Make lays out the criteria side by side.

Connect

How do you connect your Flixcheck account to Make?

  1. 01

    Get your Flixcheck API key

Make needs an active Flixcheck account and an API key from it. If you do not have an account yet, create one on Flixcheck first; the Make doc sends you to the Flixcheck pricing page for the subscription side.

  2. 02

Add a module and create the connection

In your scenario, add any Flixcheck module and click Create a connection. A connection is your Flixcheck account linked to Make once, then reused by all eight modules. You may give it a name you will recognize later.

  3. 03

    Paste the key and save

Paste the API key Flixcheck gave you into the connection window and click Save. From then on, every Flixcheck module in any scenario can pick this connection from its list.

First scenario

Build your first scenario with Flixcheck

GoalWhen a new request arrives in another app, Make creates a matching check in Flixcheck.

  1. 01

    Create a new scenario

Open the Scenarios page in Make, create a new scenario and click the big + to place the first module.

  2. 02

Pick the app that starts it

Flixcheck has no trigger, so the first module comes from another app: the form, CRM or inbox where requests appear. Connect that app and fill its fields.

  3. 03

    Add Check erstellen

Click the + on the right of the first module, search for Flixcheck and pick Check erstellen. Create the connection with your API key, then map the data from the first module into its fields.

  4. 04

    Test with Run once

Click Run once, then create a real request in the source app. Open each module to read the bundles it received, a bundle being one item passed along, and confirm the check appeared in Flixcheck.

  5. 05

    Schedule and switch it on

Set the schedule on the first module, every 15 minutes by default, and switch the scenario on. Each module run on one bundle counts as one operation on your Make plan.

Modules

What can each Flixcheck module do?

Flixcheck gives you 8 modules. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

Flixcheck1

API Aufruf

ActionIn the docs only

This module gives you a direct line to Flixcheck when none of the named modules covers what you need. Its German name means "API call", and the Make doc adds no description.

When to use it
a request your team needs that the seven other modules do not offer.
Watch out
it is not Make's generic API module, so read its fields in the editor before mapping anything.
Flixcheck2

Check abrufen

ActionIn the docs only

You get an existing check back inside your scenario, so later modules can reuse its details. The name translates as "retrieve check"; the doc gives no further description of what it returns.

When to use it
after another app hands you a check reference and you want its content in a report or a message.
Watch out
run it once and inspect the bundle before mapping its output.
Flixcheck3

Check erstellen

ActionIn the docs only

With this action a new check appears in Flixcheck without anyone typing it in. The name means "create check", which makes it the natural second step after a trigger from another app.

When to use it
a customer request lands in a form or CRM and should become a Flixcheck check without anyone retyping it.
Watch out
the doc lists no fields, so map only what the module actually asks for.
Flixcheck4

Check erstellt

ActionIn the docs only

What you get here is unclear from the doc alone: the name reads "check created", which sounds like an event, yet Make types this module as an action, not a trigger.

When to use it
only once a Run once test shows what it returns in your account.
Watch out
do not expect it to start a scenario by itself; it runs when an earlier module or the schedule reaches it.
Flixcheck5

Check geöffnet

ActionIn the docs only

This module is tied to checks that were opened, going by its German name ("check opened"). The doc says nothing more, and Make lists it as an action rather than as something that fires on its own.

When to use it
when you want to act on opened checks and a test confirms the output matches that need.
Watch out
place it after a trigger from another app or a schedule.
Flixcheck6

Check komplett abgeschlossen

ActionIn the docs only

Here the focus is on checks that are fully completed, if you follow the name ("check completely finished"). Treat that reading as a clue, since the doc provides no description at all.

When to use it
to hand finished checks over to the next tool, such as an archive or a customer file, once a test confirms the output.
Watch out
it is an action, so a schedule or another app must run the scenario.
Flixcheck7

Check komplett abgeschlossen aus Vorlage

ActionIn the docs only

This variant adds a template to the previous one: the name says "check completely finished from template". It probably narrows things to checks built on a Flixcheck template, but the doc does not confirm it.

When to use it
when your team works from templates and only those completed checks matter.
Watch out
compare its output with Check komplett abgeschlossen before choosing between them.
Flixcheck8

Check versendet

ActionIn the docs only

Sent checks are the subject of this one, judging by the name ("check sent"). Beyond that translation, the Make doc offers no description, so its exact output is something you confirm in the editor.

When to use it
to follow up on checks that went out, for instance by logging them in a sheet.
Watch out
like its neighbors, it is typed as an action, not as a trigger that fires on sending.

FAQ

Flixcheck and Make: common questions

01Is the Flixcheck Make integration free?
Yes, on the Make side. Flixcheck is a standard app, so it is available from the Free plan. That plan allows 2 active scenarios, a minimum of 15 minutes between scheduled runs, 5 minutes of execution at most, files up to 5 MB and 512 MB of data transfer. Paid plans (Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise) bring the interval down to 1 minute and count usage in credits per month. Your Flixcheck subscription is separate: the Make doc points to the Flixcheck pricing page for it.
02What does connecting Flixcheck to Make require?
You need an active Flixcheck account and an API key from that account. In Make, add any Flixcheck module, click Create a connection, optionally name it, paste the key and click Save. The connection is then shared by all eight Flixcheck modules. The Make doc gives no steps specific to Flixcheck, so these are the standard Make connection steps. If the key is refused, check it on the Flixcheck side or contact Flixcheck.
03Does Flixcheck trigger Make scenarios in real time?
No, Flixcheck has no trigger module in Make, neither scheduled nor instant. All 8 modules are actions. To start a scenario anyway, open it with a trigger from another app, for example the form or CRM where requests arrive, or run it on a schedule set on the first module. A new scenario runs every 15 minutes by default, and the Free plan cannot go below that interval. Names such as Check versendet sound like events, yet they still need something upstream to run.
04What if a Flixcheck module is missing in Make?
It depends on what you need. Flixcheck does not have Make's generic Make an API Call module, so do not count on it. The app does ship its own API Aufruf module, whose name means API call; test it with Run once to see what it accepts. If that still falls short, another app in your stack may cover the step, or the Hackceleration team can look at your case. Keep in mind the Make doc warns its Flixcheck content may contain mistakes.
05Is Make or n8n better for Flixcheck?
It depends on your criteria rather than on a winner. Make gives Flixcheck 8 action modules, no trigger, a key-based connection and a visual editor where you test with Run once. The same app may also exist as an n8n node, so compare what each tool offers for your exact steps, how your team likes to build, and which platform already runs your other automations. The comparison page linked earlier in this guide sets both tools out criterion by criterion.
