What does the ReceitaWS Make integration do?

The ReceitaWS Make integration lets a Make scenario, the automation you build as a chain of bricks called modules, send a CNPJ to ReceitaWS and use the answer in the next steps. It has two actions and no trigger, so another app or a schedule starts the work.

Cleaner supplier records. A purchasing team collects CNPJ numbers in a spreadsheet. A scenario passes each new row through Validar CNPJ, so a mistyped number is spotted before anyone builds a supplier file on it.

Richer lead lists. A sales rep receives a company CNPJ from a website form. Obter Dados de um CNPJ looks up the data ReceitaWS returns for it, and the next module of the scenario writes that data into the CRM, so nobody copies it field by field.

Checks chained together. Put Validar CNPJ first and Obter Dados de um CNPJ right after it: the scenario checks the number, then pulls the company data, in one run you can test with Run once.

What Make does not give you here: Make's own documentation for ReceitaWS is marked as limited, with no field list and no description of each module, and the app has no Make an API Call module for anything beyond these two actions. How do you connect ReceitaWS to Make?

    In your scenario, click the +, search for ReceitaWS and pick one of its two modules. Then click Create a connection. A connection is your ReceitaWS account linked to Make once, then reused by both modules.

    Name the connection

    Giving the connection a name is optional, but a clear one helps later, especially if a colleague or a client has a second ReceitaWS account linked to the same Make organization. Pick something you will recognize in a list.

    Authorize and save

    Follow what the window asks: either authorize Make on the ReceitaWS page, or paste the key ReceitaWS gives you. Then click Save. The module is ready once the connection shows up as selected.

    Create the scenario

    From the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the +. The first module comes from the app that holds your CNPJ numbers, such as a form tool or a spreadsheet.

    Click the + on the right of that first module, search for ReceitaWS, pick Validar CNPJ and create the connection. Map the CNPJ that the first module provides into it.

    Chain Obter Dados de um CNPJ

    Add a second ReceitaWS module, Obter Dados de um CNPJ, and map the same CNPJ into it. Each item passing through, called a bundle, now carries the number and what ReceitaWS knows about it.

    Click Run once. Open the bubble above each module to read the bundles it received. That is the only way to see what ReceitaWS returns, since the documentation lists no fields.

01Is the ReceitaWS Make integration free?
Yes, on the Make side. ReceitaWS is a standard app, available from the Free plan. That plan allows 2 active scenarios, a minimum of 15 minutes between two scheduled runs, 5 minutes of execution per run, files up to 5 MB and 512 MB of data transfer. Paid plans (Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise) lower the interval to 1 minute and remove the cap on active scenarios. Usage is counted in credits, where one operation is one module running on one bundle. Whatever ReceitaWS itself charges is not covered by Make, so check it on the ReceitaWS side.
02What is needed to connect ReceitaWS to Make?
A ReceitaWS account and a Make account. Make's documentation lists no specific prerequisite for this app and no dedicated connection steps, so the generic flow applies: add a ReceitaWS module, click Create a connection, optionally name it, then either authorize Make on the ReceitaWS page or paste the key ReceitaWS provides, and click Save.
