What you can automate

What can the SendFox Make integration do for you?

The SendFox Make integration links your SendFox account to Make, a visual tool where you chain apps without code. You build a scenario, the automation itself, from modules, the bricks of that chain. SendFox brings 13 of them for contacts, lists and campaigns.

Sign-ups that land in the right place. A buyer on your shop, a lead from a form, a guest from a webinar tool: Create a Contact adds or updates that person in SendFox, so nobody gets copied by hand into your list.

Contacts that travel back out. Watch Contacts spots every new or changed contact and hands it to the next module. Send it to a spreadsheet, a CRM such as the one in the Agile CRM Make integration, or a team chat.

Clean opt-outs everywhere. When someone unsubscribes in another tool, Unsubscribe an Email repeats that choice in SendFox, and Remove a Contact from a List takes them off one list only when that is all they asked for.

What Make does not do here: no module sends a campaign or edits its content, and both triggers are scheduled, so Make checks SendFox on the scenario's clock rather than at the instant a change happens. Make's own SendFox documentation warns that it is partly AI-generated, so test each module with a real contact first. SendFox also exists as a node in n8n; the n8n vs Make comparison helps you choose, and the Make review covers the tool as a whole.

Connect

How do you connect SendFox to Make?

  1. 01

    Create a token in SendFox

In SendFox, open the account OAuth settings page and click Create New Token. Give it a name you will recognize later, click Create, then copy the token that appears on screen. Keep that tab open for the next step.

  2. 02

Add a SendFox module in Make

In your scenario, add any SendFox module and click Create a connection. A connection is your SendFox account linked to Make once, then reused by every SendFox module. The Connection name field is optional, but a clear name helps when you run several accounts.

  3. 03

    Paste the token and save

Paste the token you copied from SendFox into the credentials field and confirm. Make now reads your SendFox data, so the next fields can offer your lists and contacts instead of asking you to type IDs.

First scenario

Your first scenario: send new sign-ups to SendFox

GoalWhen someone signs up in another app, Make adds or updates that person in SendFox.

  1. 01

    Create the scenario

On the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the big +. Start with the app where sign-ups arrive today, such as your form tool or your shop, and pick its trigger.

  2. 02

    Add Create a Contact

Click the + on the right of that first module, search for SendFox and choose Create a Contact. Select your connection, or click Create a connection if this is your first SendFox module.

  3. 03

    Map the sign-up data

Fill the fields of Create a Contact by mapping what the first module received: click a field, then pick the email from the bundle, the item passed along from the previous module. Make lists the SendFox data it can read.

  4. 04

    Test with Run once

Click Run once, then send a test sign-up through your form. Open the bubbles to read the bundles each module received, and check in SendFox that the test contact now appears.

  5. 05

    Schedule and switch it on

On the first module, open the clock to set the Scheduling; a new scenario runs every 15 minutes by default. Switch the scenario on, and each new sign-up reaches SendFox without you.

Triggers

What can start a SendFox scenario?

2 modules start a scenario when something happens in SendFox. A scheduled trigger is checked by Make on the scenario's schedule; an instant one is called by SendFox as soon as it happens.

SendFox1Watch Campaigns

Watch Campaigns

Scheduled trigger

In MakeTriggers when a campaign is created or updated.

Get a heads-up in your other tools every time a SendFox campaign is created or updated, so your team sees the email before your subscribers do. Each campaign arrives as one bundle you can post to a chat, a planning board or a log sheet.

How it fires
scheduled, Make checks SendFox on the scenario's schedule, which is every 15 minutes by default and never shorter than 15 minutes on the Free plan.
When to use it
a shared editorial calendar that picks up each campaign at the next check after someone drafts it in SendFox.
Watch out
an update also counts, so an edited campaign comes through again; plan the next step for that.
SendFox2Watch Contacts

Watch Contacts

Scheduled trigger

In MakeTriggers when a new contact is created or updated.

Keep your other tools in step with your audience: this trigger picks up each contact that is created or updated in SendFox and passes it on, one bundle per person, to the module you add next.

How it fires
scheduled, Make checks SendFox on the scenario's schedule, so a new subscriber shows up at the next check rather than the moment they sign up.
When to use it
copying every new subscriber into a CRM or a spreadsheet your sales team already reads.
Watch out
updated contacts come through as well, so the next module should update an existing record instead of creating a duplicate each time.
Modules

What can Make do in SendFox?

SendFox gives you 11 modules. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

SendFox1

Create a Contact

Action

In MakeCreates or updates a contact.

Puts a person on your SendFox audience from any other app, and updates the record when that person is already in SendFox, so a returning buyer does not have to be cleaned up by hand.

When to use it
right after a purchase, a form or a webinar sign-up, to feed your list without exports.
Watch out
how SendFox matches an existing contact is not documented, so test with Run once on an address already in your list.
SendFox2

Create a List

Action

In MakeCreates a new list.

Opens a brand new list in SendFox from inside a scenario, ready to receive contacts from the modules that follow it in the same run.

When to use it
a new product launch or event in another tool that deserves its own audience from day one.
Watch out
run it once per event, or a test left switched on will leave you with a pile of near-identical lists.
SendFox3

Get a Campaign

Action

In MakeGets a campaign by ID.

Fetches one SendFox campaign when you already hold its ID, and hands its details to the next module so you can report on it or share it.

When to use it
after Watch Campaigns or List Campaigns has given you an ID and you want the full record of that campaign.
Watch out
it needs the exact ID; without one, start from List Campaigns instead.
SendFox4

Get a Contact

Action

In MakeGets a contact by ID.

Pulls the full record of one SendFox contact from its ID, which is handy when an earlier step only passed that number along and you need the rest.

When to use it
a scenario that stored the SendFox ID in a CRM and now has to read the contact back.
Watch out
if all you have is an email address, Get a Contact by Email is the module you want.
SendFox5

Make an API Call

Action

In MakePerforms an arbitrary authorized API call.

Reaches any endpoint of the SendFox API with the connection you already set up, covering what the ready-made modules on this page leave out.

When to use it
you need a SendFox action that no listed module offers, and the API documentation shows the endpoint for it.
Watch out
you write the request yourself, so read the SendFox API reference before relying on it in a live scenario.
SendFox6

Remove a Contact from a List

Action

In MakeRemoves a contact from a specific list.

Takes one contact off one specific list while leaving them subscribed to your other SendFox lists, so a narrow change stays narrow.

When to use it
a customer finishes an onboarding series or cancels one product, and should stop getting those emails only.
Watch out
this is not an unsubscribe; for a full opt-out, use Unsubscribe an Email.
SendFox7

Unsubscribe an Email

Action

In MakeUnsubscribes an email.

Marks an email address as unsubscribed in SendFox, so a person who opted out somewhere else stops receiving your campaigns there too.

When to use it
someone asks your support desk or your CRM to stop all emails, and SendFox has to respect that choice.
Watch out
test it on your own address first: no listed module is described as resubscribing someone.
SendFox8

Get a Contact by Email

Search

In MakeGets a contact by email.

Looks up a SendFox contact from an email address, the one piece of data almost every other app shares, and returns what SendFox knows about them.

When to use it
before removing someone from a list, to check they are actually on your audience.
Watch out
as a search it can return zero results, so add a filter after it to stop the run when nobody matches.
SendFox9

List Campaigns

Search

In MakeLists all Campaigns.

Returns your SendFox campaigns, each as its own bundle, so the next module can handle them one by one or gather them into a single summary.

When to use it
building a campaign log in a spreadsheet or finding the ID to pass to Get a Campaign.
Watch out
every returned campaign is a bundle, and every bundle that goes through the next module costs an operation on your plan.
SendFox10

List Contacts

Search

In MakeLists all contacts.

Brings back the contacts of your SendFox account, which lets you copy your whole audience into another tool in a single run instead of exporting a file.

When to use it
a first sync to a CRM, before Watch Contacts keeps it current from then on.
Watch out
a large audience means many bundles, and each one counts against your plan when the next module processes it.
SendFox11

List Lists

Search

In MakeLists all lists.

Shows every list in your SendFox account as a bundle, which is the quickest way to know which list IDs your other modules can target.

When to use it
a scenario that picks the right list by name before Create a Contact or Remove a Contact from a List runs.
Watch out
each list is a bundle, so every list the next module handles costs an operation.

FAQ

SendFox and Make: common questions

01Is the SendFox Make integration free?
Yes, SendFox is a standard app in Make, so it works from the Free plan onward. That plan allows 2 active scenarios, a minimum of 15 minutes between two scheduled runs, up to 5 minutes per run, files up to 5 MB and 512 MB of data transfer. Paid plans (Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise) lower the interval to 1 minute and count usage in credits, meaning operations, per month. Your SendFox subscription is separate and depends on SendFox itself.
02What do you need to connect SendFox to Make?
An active SendFox account and an API token. In SendFox, open the account OAuth settings page, click Create New Token, name it, click Create and copy the token shown on screen. In Make, add any SendFox module, click Create a connection, optionally fill the Connection name field and paste the token. That single connection then serves every SendFox module you add later, in this scenario and in the next ones, without asking for the token again.
03Does the SendFox trigger in Make work in real time?
No. Watch Campaigns and Watch Contacts are both scheduled triggers: Make checks SendFox on the scenario's schedule instead of receiving a signal the moment something changes. A new scenario checks every 15 minutes by default. On the Free plan that is also the shortest gap allowed, while paid plans can go down to 1 minute. If speed matters, start the scenario from the other app instead and push the data into SendFox with Create a Contact.
04What if the SendFox module you need is missing in Make?
It depends on the task, but Make an API Call usually covers it. That module reaches any endpoint of the SendFox API through the connection you already have, so a gap in the listed modules, such as sending a campaign, can be handled there if the API offers it. Keep in mind that the SendFox documentation on Make is partly AI-generated and may contain mistakes, so check the vendor documentation and test with a real contact first.
05Should you use Make or n8n for SendFox?
It depends on where the rest of your automations already live. On Make, SendFox brings 13 ready-made modules, 2 scheduled triggers plus actions and searches, and the Make an API Call module for anything else. SendFox also exists as a node in n8n, so the right choice comes down to which tool your team already knows and which other apps you need to connect. Compare the modules each one offers for your exact case before you commit.
