Access Raise Zapier integrationAutomate Access Raise with Zapier.
The Access Raise Zapier integration gives you 7 triggers, 1 action and 4 searches. Enough to react to new donations, orders, payments and form entries on your charity website, and to add members, without one instant trigger in the lot.

What the Access Raise Zapier integration actually does
Access Raise is a fundraising and supporter-data tool built around charity websites. Plugged into Zapier, it becomes the starting point of a Zap (an automation that waits for one event, then runs steps for you). Seven events can start it, one step can write into it, and four lookups can read a record when you already hold its Id.
A member list that fills itself from a sign-up form. New Form Submission watches one form on your site, and Create Member turns each entry into a member, as long as you can pass a first name, a last name and an email.
An events desk that hears about every ticket. New Order covers shop and event orders placed by customers, so whoever runs the gala gets the order in their own tool rather than refreshing the manager.
A finance check that only sees real money. New Payment skips test payments by default, which keeps a bookkeeping Zap clean while you are still trying things out on the site.
Now the honest part. Every trigger here is polled, so nothing is instant. There is a single action, and it only creates members: no update, no delete, nothing on appeals, donations or orders. The four searches work by Id only, so a lookup by email is out. If that list falls short, the n8n vs Zapier and Make vs Zapier comparisons help you weigh the other two platforms on your own criteria.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Eight words come back all over this page. Here they are in plain English, once.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time that trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier sits and waits for that event.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something on your behalf.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap finishes successfully. The number on your plan counts those.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked on a timer for new items. An instant one is reported by the app itself the moment it happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets your condition, and stops the run otherwise.
- Search step
- A step that looks up something already stored in an app, so the steps after it can reuse what it found.
- Connection
- Your Access Raise account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step in every Zap that touches the app.
What an Access Raise Zap really costs
Access Raise is not a premium app, so it runs on the free plan. The bill comes from actions, never from the trigger.
- Premium appNo
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
- Trigger costNone
- Instant triggers0 of 7
Checking Access Raise for new donations or orders costs nothing, however often Zapier looks. Each Create Member that succeeds counts as one task; a failed one counts for nothing. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps, and checks every 15 minutes, but only two-step Zaps. Add a filter or one of the four searches and you are building a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan, whatever the volume.
Connect Access Raise to Zapier in 3 steps
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. You need an Access Raise account first, plus access to anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to read or write.
- 02
Pick Access Raise
Type the name in the search box of the dialog, select Access Raise, then click Add connection. A new browser tab then opens, where the Access Raise sign-in happens.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Log in to Access Raise in that tab and allow Zapier to use the account. The connection then shows up on the Apps page and any Zap can reuse it without asking again.
Your first Zap: website form to new member, filtered
GoalTurn volunteer sign-up form entries into Access Raise members, but only those that meet a condition you choose.
- 01
Build the trigger
Create a Zap, choose Access Raise as the starting app and
New Form Submissionas the event, pick your connection, then paste the Form Id copied from the form's address. - 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier fetches the three most recent entries of that form, so you can pick a real one to map from instead of guessing at blank fields.
- 03
Add the filter
Click the plus icon and add Filter. Set the field to check, the rule and the value. Use a text rule on text and a number rule on numbers, or it never passes.
- 04
Add Create Member
Add Access Raise again with
Create Member, then map the first name, last name and email from the form entry. All three are required, so a missing one blocks the step. - 05
Test, then publish
Run each step once and read what came back. When the member shows up as expected, click Publish. Remember the filter makes this a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.
The 7 Access Raise triggers
7 events start a Zap when something happens in Access Raise. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.
New Appeal
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new appeal is created.”
Starts your Zap each time someone sets up a fresh appeal in Access Raise, so the launch of a campaign can ripple out to the people who need to hear about it.
New Donation
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new donation is made.”
Fires whenever a supporter gives through Access Raise. It is the natural entry point for anything that should follow a gift, from a thank-you routine to an internal tally.
New Form Submission
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a user completes a form on the website”
Picks up entries from one specific form on your charity website. Each Zap watches a single form, so two forms mean two Zaps, each set to its own Id.
New Group Signup
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a member is approved to a group.”
Runs when a member gets approved into a group. Note the wording: approval, not request, so pending applications do not start anything.
New Member
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new member is created.”
Kicks off whenever a member record is created in Access Raise, whatever route created it. That makes it the broad net, where New Group Signup is the narrow one.
New Order
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new shop or events order is placed by a customer.”
Catches orders placed by customers in your shop or for your events. Merchandise and ticket sales come through the same door.
New Payment
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new payment is made.”
Signals each new payment made through Access Raise. By default it only returns live payments, which is what you want once the Zap is in production.
The Access Raise action
Access Raise gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Create Member
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a new member”
Adds a new member to Access Raise from data that arrived in an earlier step, such as a form in another tool or an event registration.
The 4 Access Raise searches
4 search steps look for data that already exists in Access Raise, so a later step can use it.
A search step fetches a record that already exists. Searches sit at the bottom of the action-event list under SEARCH. All four here look up by Id, never by name or email, and none offers a find-or-create option.
Get Appeal Details
SearchIn Zapier“Gets the details of an appeal for a given appeal Id.”
Pulls the full record of one appeal when an earlier step hands you its Appeal Id.
Get Donation Details
SearchIn Zapier“Gets more information about a single donation, using the donation's Id”
Brings back more about a single gift, from its Donation Id.
Get Member Details
SearchIn Zapier“Gets the member details for a given member Id”
Fetches a member's details once you hold their Member Id, usually from an earlier Access Raise step.
Get Payment Details
SearchIn Zapier“Gets the payment details for a given payment Id”
Reads one payment in full from its Payment Id, so the following steps can reuse what it returns.
The three settings every search exposes
- Successful if no search results are found?Left on its default, an Id that matches nothing stops the Zap there. Switch it on to let the following steps run empty-handed.
- Create X if it doesn't exist yet? This box turns a search into a find-or-create. None of the four Access Raise searches offers it, so a missing record is never created from here.
- If multiple search results are found?Three choices: keep the first match (the default), stop the Zap, or pass all matches on.
When an Access Raise Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to Access Raise, and no rate limit is documented for it. What breaks is general to Zapier, and it shows up here too.
Four cases come back often. None of them shows a clear error, which is why they are worth knowing before you publish. The Zapier troubleshooting guide goes further when a Zap stops for other reasons.
Old records are never picked up
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Donations and members that already existed stay put; moving that backlog is a separate job.The member loop
Create Member feeds New Member on the same account. Chain the two and the Zap keeps setting itself off, burning through tasks fast.A bulk import gets held back
After a migration or a large import, a trigger can suddenly return a huge batch. Zapier's flood protection may hold it back rather than run it all.No duplicates, by design
Zapier remembers what it has already seen on a polling trigger, so the same donation or order never starts the Zap twice.
