What the Adversus Dialer Zapier integration actually does
Adversus Dialer is a browser-based auto dialer that outbound teams use to work through phone lists. Linking it to Zapier means two things: an event in Adversus (a booked appointment, a saved lead) can start work in your other tools, and your other tools can create or update contacts and leads in Adversus without anyone retyping them.
Three setups cover most of what people build. A clean list before the calls start: a lead arrives from somewhere else, Find Contact checks whether that person is already in Adversus, and Create Lead only adds the ones that are new, inside the pool and campaign you pick. A ping for the closer: New Appointment fires the instant an agent books a meeting, so a recruiter or a solar sales rep hears about it before the call has even ended. A second pass on cold leads: when Lead Updated reports a change, Add Contact to Campaign can push that person into a nurture campaign for another round of dials.
What it does not do matters just as much. There is no trigger for a new contact, a finished call or a new campaign, so those events cannot start a Zap. Nothing here deletes a record. And the integration only moves data in and out: dialing, recordings and call routing stay inside Adversus.

Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words come back on every line of this page. Here they are in plain English.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, followed by one or more actions that run each time that trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier sits and waits for that event.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it is running: the step that writes, sends or moves something on your behalf, like creating a lead.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One task equals one action the Zap completes successfully, and your plan counts those.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself the second it happens. Both Adversus triggers are instant.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it there otherwise.
- Search step
- A step that looks up a record already sitting in an app, so the steps after it can reuse what it found.
What it really costs
Adversus Dialer is not a premium app, so it runs on the free plan.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps
- Free plan Zap sizeTwo steps: one trigger, one action
- Premium appNo, works on the free plan
- Trigger typeBoth triggers instant
The trigger never costs a task, and neither does waiting for it. Each action that succeeds counts once, so a Zap with three actions uses three times as much as a Zap with one. A failed action is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month but stops at two steps: one trigger, one action. Add a filter, a search or a second action and you have a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan. The interval grid below only applies to polling triggers, and both Adversus triggers are instant.
Connect Adversus Dialer to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open your connections
In Zapier, go to the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. A connection is your Adversus account linked once, then reused by every Zap step that touches Adversus.
- 02
Find Adversus Dialer
Type Adversus Dialer into the search box of the dialog that appears, pick it from the results, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens so you can sign in.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Log in to Adversus in that tab and grant Zapier access. You need an Adversus account, plus read or write rights on any pool, campaign or lead you do not own yourself but want the Zap to touch.
Your first Zap: booked demo, contact moved to a follow-up campaign
GoalA sales agent at a software reseller books a demo in Adversus. The Zap finds the matching contact and drops it into a pre-demo campaign, so a colleague calls back to confirm.
- 01
Pick the trigger
Create a Zap, choose Adversus Dialer as the app and New Appointment as the event, then select the connection you made earlier.
- 02
Test it on a real booking
Click test. Zapier brings back the three most recent appointments on the account, so you build the rest of the Zap from a real one instead of a blank form.
- 03
Look up the contact
Add Find Contact as the next step. Choose which field to search in, then map the matching value from the appointment. Test it and check that the right person comes back.
- 04
Add the contact to the campaign
Add Add Contact to Campaign, map the contact found by the search, and pick the follow-up campaign from the list. Run the test once.
- 05
Publish
Read what each test returned, then click publish to switch the Zap on. The search makes this a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.
Adversus Dialer triggers (2)
2 events start a Zap when something happens in Adversus Dialer, and 2 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Appointment
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new appointment has been booked”
Starts your Zap whenever an agent books an appointment inside Adversus Dialer. The booking becomes the starting point for whatever comes next: a message to the person who will run the meeting, a row in a shared tracker, or a contact shifted into another campaign.
Lead Updated
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a lead is updated/saved in Adversus.”
Fires each time a lead is updated or saved in Adversus Dialer. That makes it the broadest trigger of the pair: any save on a lead sets it off, including the ones you do not care about.
Adversus Dialer actions (5)
Adversus Dialer gives you 5 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Add Contact to Campaign
ActionIn Zapier“Adds a specific contact to a specified campaign.”
Places a contact that already exists into a campaign you pick. Both the contact and the campaign are required, so a search step usually comes before it to supply the contact.
Create Contact
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a new contact in a specified pool.”
Adds a brand new contact to Adversus, inside the pool you choose. The pool is the only required choice, so you decide up front which list the person lands in.
Create Lead
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a new lead with a specified pool and campaign.”
Puts a new lead straight into a pool and a campaign, both required. Compared with Create Contact, the person is ready to be dialed the moment the step runs.
Update Contact
ActionIn Zapier“Updates an existing contact.”
Edits the details of an existing contact. You must point it at the contact, which in practice means pairing it with Find Contact earlier in the Zap.
Update Lead
ActionIn Zapier“Updates lead attributes (campaign, status, next contact time) based on an lead ID”
Changes a lead's campaign, status or next contact time, based on its lead ID, which is required. It is the one action here that reschedules a callback from outside Adversus.
Adversus Dialer searches (4)
4 search steps look for data that already exists in Adversus Dialer, so a later step can use it.
Searches sit at the bottom of the action event list, under the SEARCH heading. A search is free on its own but makes the Zap multi-step. Three settings decide what happens when the result is not what you expected.
Find Contact
SearchFind or createIn Zapier“Lookup existing contacts in Adversus, e.g. to avoid duplicates. The first result is used if multiple are found.”
Looks up a contact by the field you pick and the value you give it, and returns the first match if several come back. It is the usual guard against duplicates.
Find Lead
SearchIn Zapier“Finds a lead based on the ID”
Retrieves a single lead from its lead ID, the only required input. It does not search by name or phone, so the ID has to come from an earlier step.
Find User by Email
SearchIn Zapier“Finds a user based on their email”
Finds an Adversus user, meaning an agent on your team, from their email address. That turns an email in another tool into a user the next steps can work with.
Find User by ID
SearchIn Zapier“Finds a user based on their Adversus user ID”
Fetches an Adversus user from their Adversus user ID, which is required. Think of it as the email search in reverse. You hold the internal ID, and what you want is the person behind it.
The three settings every search exposes
- Successful if no search results are found?Left on its default, a search that finds nothing stops the Zap there and the steps depending on it are skipped. Turn it on and the Zap carries on empty-handed.
- Create X if it doesn't exist yet?Ticking this turns the search into a find-or-create. The setting above disappears and the step asks for the fields needed to create the missing record.
- If multiple search results are found?Three exits when several records match: keep the first one (the default), stop the Zap, or pass all of them on at once.
When it breaks
Zapier links no help article to Adversus Dialer, so these are the general Zapier limits that bite on this app.
None of these is specific to Adversus, but each one shows up quickly on a dialer where records change all day. For a step-by-step diagnosis, see the Zapier troubleshooting guide.
No catch-up on old records
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Appointments booked and leads saved before that stay where they are; moving the backlog is a separate job.The Lead Updated loop
A Zap that triggers on Lead Updated and then runs Update Lead writes back into the place it watches, sets itself off again and burns through your tasks fast.Bulk imports get held back
When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a mass import of leads for example, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back before anything runs.Empty dropdowns on create
Create Lead needs a pool and a campaign, Create Contact a pool. If the connected account cannot see any, the step cannot be completed.
