Overview

What the AeraVision Zapier integration actually does

AeraVision is a competitive intelligence platform that uses AI to follow competitors, customers and suppliers. On Zapier it works in one direction only: something happens inside AeraVision, and a Zap (an automation you build once, then leave running) carries that news into another app. It never receives data from the rest of your tools.

Three typical results, each tied to a real trigger:

A market digest in your sales CRM. When AeraVision writes a fresh summary of how competition is moving around you, New Summary of Your Competition Moves picks it up and a Zap can log it as a note for the account managers who need talking points before a renewal call.

A product team that hears about rivals first. New Summaries of All Competitors fires when the summary of any competitor gets updated. A product manager can have each update land as a ticket in the backlog tool, so pricing or feature changes get discussed instead of discovered late.

Raw content routed to the right inbox. New Content fires whenever AeraVision detects something new. Paired with a filter on a paid plan, a Zap can send only the items that matter to a given team, and drop the rest.

What Zapier does not do here: it cannot push anything into AeraVision. There is no action and no search on this app, so you cannot create a competitor, tag content or look up a past summary from a Zap. AeraVision is always the first step, never a later one.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Eight words come back on every line of this page. Here they are in plain English.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it. AeraVision only offers triggers.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you, in another app here.
Task
The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The number on your plan counts those, nothing else.
Polling trigger
A trigger Zapier checks on a timer. It asks the app for new items at a fixed interval and keeps only what it has not seen.
Instant trigger
A trigger the app reports itself, the moment the event happens. None of the three AeraVision triggers works this way.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets your condition, and stops it otherwise. It needs a paid plan.
Connection
Your AeraVision account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap that starts from AeraVision.
Cost

What an AeraVision Zap really costs

AeraVision is not a premium app, so it works from the free plan. The bill depends on the actions that follow it, never on AeraVision itself.

  • Trigger0 tasks
  • Each successful action1 task
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
  • Premium appNo

The trigger never costs a task, and neither does Zapier checking for new items, however often it looks. Each action that succeeds counts once; an action that fails is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps and a check every 15 minutes, but only two-step Zaps: one trigger, one action. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan.

Connect

Connect AeraVision to Zapier in 3 steps

  1. 01

    Open your connections

In your Zapier account, go to the Apps page and click + Add connection. Have your AeraVision login ready, because Zapier needs an existing account on the app before anything else.

  2. 02

    Pick AeraVision

Type AeraVision in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens on the AeraVision side, where the rest of the setup happens.

  3. 03

    Sign in and allow access

Log in to AeraVision in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection then shows up in your list, ready for any Zap that starts with an AeraVision trigger.

First Zap

Your first Zap: new content to a Slack channel

GoalPost every piece of content AeraVision detects into the channel your marketing team watches.

  1. 01

    Build the trigger

Create a Zap, choose AeraVision as the app that starts it and New Content as the event. Pick your AeraVision connection when Zapier asks for it.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items from your account, so you map the next step on a real piece of content rather than an empty sample.

  3. 03

    Add the action

Add Slack as the app that follows and choose its message event. Map the AeraVision values you want to see into the message, and pick the channel your team reads.

  4. 04

    Test, then publish

Test the Slack step once and read what came back. When it looks right, click Publish. The Zap stays within the free plan: one trigger, one action.

Triggers

AeraVision triggers

3 events start a Zap when something happens in AeraVision. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.

1

New Summaries of All Competitors

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a competitor summary is updated”

Starts your Zap each time AeraVision updates the summary of one of the competitors it follows, so the change reaches people outside the platform without anyone opening a dashboard.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
a product lead wants a backlog ticket for every competitor update, so roadmap discussions start from the latest picture.
Watch out
this one listens to updates, not only to brand new summaries, so a busy competitor can start the Zap several times and each action that follows costs a task.
2

New Content

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when AeraVision detects new content.”

Hands your Zap each piece of content AeraVision has newly detected, once Zapier's next check finds it. It is the broadest of the three triggers and the closest to the raw material the platform collects.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
a marketing team wants each new item dropped into a shared channel to react to a rival campaign the same day.
Watch out
after a large import on the AeraVision side, a sudden wave of items can be held back by Zapier's flood protection, so do not expect every one to pass at once.
3

New Summary of Your Competition Moves

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when the AeraAI created a new market competition summary”

Runs when AeraVision's AI writes a fresh summary of how the competition is moving in your market. Think of it as a digest about your position rather than about one rival.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
a sales director wants that digest logged in the CRM so account managers read it before client calls.
Watch out
only digests written after the Zap is switched on go through, so the CRM starts empty and fills up from that day on.
When it breaks

When an AeraVision Zap breaks

Zapier links no help article to AeraVision and lists no limit of its own for the app. What goes wrong comes from how Zapier itself works.

Four cases cover most surprises. When a Zap stops doing what you expect, start with the Zapier troubleshooting page.

  • Nothing from before the Zap

A Zap only reacts to events after it is switched on. Older AeraVision summaries and content are never picked up; moving them is a separate job.
  • A loop that eats tasks

If a Zap writes back to the place its own trigger watches, it sets itself off again and again. With AeraVision as a trigger only, keep later steps elsewhere.
  • A burst held back

When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold the Zap back instead of running every item.
  • The same item never runs twice

On a polling trigger Zapier tracks what it has already seen, so an AeraVision item does not start the Zap a second time.

FAQ

AeraVision and Zapier: questions people ask

01Is the AeraVision Zapier integration free?
Yes, you can run it on the free plan, because AeraVision is not a premium app. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but each Zap is limited to two steps: one trigger and one action. That is enough to send new AeraVision content to a single app. As soon as you want a filter or a second destination, the Zap becomes multi-step and you need a paid plan.
02How many tasks does an AeraVision Zap use?
The AeraVision trigger itself uses none. Zapier checking AeraVision for new items is free too, however often it looks. You pay one task for each action that completes successfully after the trigger. A Zap with one action costs one task per new summary or content item; a Zap with three actions costs three. An action that fails is not counted against your plan. A few apps and actions take more than one task, so check the step you add after AeraVision.
03Does AeraVision send data to Zapier in real time?
No. All three AeraVision triggers are polling triggers: Zapier asks AeraVision for new items on a timer. On the free plan it checks every 15 minutes, on Professional every 2 minutes, and on Team and Enterprise every minute. Paid plans also let you change how often the check runs and start one by hand from the editor. The type comes from the app itself and cannot be switched to instant.
04What does it take to connect AeraVision to Zapier?
An AeraVision account, plus access to anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to read. In Zapier, open the Apps page, click + Add connection, search for AeraVision, then sign in on the tab that opens and grant access. The connection is created once and every AeraVision Zap reuses it afterwards. Sign in with an account that can see the competitors and content you want the Zap to pass on.
05Why does a competitor update Zap run more often than expected?
Because New Summaries of All Competitors fires when a competitor summary is updated, not only when one is created. A competitor that changes often can therefore start the Zap several times, and every successful action that follows costs a task. If that matters on your plan, a filter on a paid plan lets only the updates you care about go through. Keep an eye on the task count during the first days.
06What if the AeraVision operation you want is missing?
Then Zapier cannot do it today. The app exposes three triggers and no action or search, so creating, editing or looking up anything inside AeraVision is out of reach from a Zap. The workable route is to start from one of the three triggers and do the rest in the apps that follow. Anything that has to write into AeraVision stays a manual task for now. Check the AeraVision app page on Zapier from time to time.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for AeraVision?
It depends on your criteria rather than on a winner. Zapier is the easiest start when you only need to push AeraVision updates into another tool, and the free plan covers a two-step Zap. If you expect many steps or high volume, compare how each platform bills its runs. Whatever the platform, AeraVision only starts the flow, so the deciding point is how much logic sits after it. On Zapier, the free plan is a fair way to test the idea first.
