Agolix Zapier integrationAutomate Agolix with Zapier.
The Agolix Zapier integration gives you 1 trigger and 1 action, with 0 searches. One instant trigger fires when someone finishes an assessment, one action hands out a fresh single-use access code. Small catalog, so the real question is what to wire around it.

What the Agolix Zapier integration actually does for you
Agolix builds online surveys, quizzes and scored assessments. Plugged into Zapier, it does two things: it tells your other tools the moment a respondent completes an assessment, and it can mint a new single-use access code for an assessment whenever something elsewhere asks for one. Everything else lives inside Agolix itself.
Three results people build first. A screening ping for recruiters: New Responses fires when a candidate submits, and a message lands in the team channel before anyone refreshes a dashboard. A paid seat that unlocks itself: a payment in your billing tool runs Generate Access Code for the buyer, so the code exists without someone copying it by hand. A running log of completions: each finished assessment adds a line to a spreadsheet the sales team already reads.
What Zapier does not do here matters just as much. There is no search step for Agolix, so a Zap cannot look up an existing respondent or assessment. There is no action to create, edit or delete an assessment either. And only completed assessments start a Zap: that is the one event Zapier hears about from Agolix.

Zapier words in one minute
Eight terms. Learn them once and the rest of this page reads in plain English.
- Zap
- Your automation on Zapier: one event that starts it, then one or more steps that run every single time that event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier sits and waits for it to happen.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something on your behalf in another app.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills you for: one action that completes successfully. The number on your plan counts exactly those.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself the moment the event happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets a condition you set, and quietly stops it otherwise.
- Connection
- Your Agolix account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step in every Zap that touches Agolix.
- Multi-step Zap
- Anything beyond one trigger plus one action. A second action, a filter or a search makes it one, and it needs a paid plan.
What it costs you in tasks
Agolix is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan.
- Premium appNo
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps only
- Trigger typeInstant, so the interval grid does not apply
The trigger never costs a task, and neither does Zapier waiting for new data. You pay only when an action completes: each successful Generate Access Code counts once, and an action that fails is not counted. In a Zap with three actions, every one that succeeds counts on its own. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but only two-step Zaps: one trigger, one action. Add a filter or a second action and it becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan.
Connect your Agolix account
- 01
Open the Apps page
In Zapier, go to Apps and click + Add connection. Type Agolix in the search box of the dialog and pick it from the list. You need an existing Agolix account before this works.
- 02
Sign in to Agolix
Click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Agolix side: sign in with the account that owns the assessments you plan to automate, or one with access to them.
- 03
Grant access
Allow Zapier into the account. The connection then shows up in your Apps list, and every Agolix step you add later in any Zap reuses it without asking again.
Your first Zap: alert recruiters about strong candidates
GoalWhen a candidate completes the screening assessment and meets the bar you set, post a note to the hiring channel.
- 01
Create the Zap
Start a new Zap and choose Agolix as the app that starts it. Pick
New Responsesas the event, then select your Agolix connection. - 02
Pick the assessment
In the Assessment field, choose the screening test candidates take. The trigger only watches the one you select here, so a second test means a second Zap.
- 03
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier pulls the three most recent responses from your account, so pick a real one to map from. No completions yet? Take the assessment once yourself.
- 04
Add the filter
Click the plus icon, choose Filter, then set the field, the rule and the value. Pick a text rule for text and a number rule for numbers, or it never passes.
- 05
Add the message and publish
Add the Slack step, map the response details into the message, test it, then click Publish. The filter makes this a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.
The trigger
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Agolix, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Responses
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a respondent completes an assessment.”
Starts your Zap each time a respondent gets to the end of an assessment and submits it. You choose which assessment to watch, and every completed response on it becomes one run of the Zap, ready to feed a message, a row or a record in another tool.
The action
Agolix gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

Generate Access Code
ActionIn Zapier“Generates a new single use access code for your assessment.”
Creates a brand-new code that opens one assessment once, tied to the buyer's email address. The code is single use, so each run produces a different one.
When it breaks
Zapier ties no help article to Agolix, so these are the general limits that hit this integration hardest.
Most broken Agolix Zaps fail for reasons that have nothing to do with Agolix itself. They come from how Zapier handles history, loops and bursts. When a run fails, start with the Zapier troubleshooting guide.
Old responses are never picked up
A Zap only reacts to assessments completed after you switch it on. Last month's responses stay where they are; moving them is a separate job.A Zap that keeps setting itself off
A Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches starts itself again on every run. The loop does not stop on its own and burns through your tasks fast.A launch day floods the trigger
When a huge batch of responses lands at once, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back instead of running everything in one go.The filter never lets anything through
Filter rules are typed. A number rule applied to a text value, or the reverse, fails every time, and the Zap stops quietly at that step.
