DigitalPilot Zapier integrationAutomate DigitalPilot with Zapier.
DigitalPilot Zapier integration: 3 triggers, 2 actions, 0 searches. All three triggers are instant, so a visit or a lead reaches your Zap at once, even on the free plan. The two actions keep your target account lists in step with the rest of your tools.

What the DigitalPilot Zapier integration actually does
The DigitalPilot Zapier integration hands the companies DigitalPilot spots on your site to the tools your team already works in. A Zap (the automation you build on Zapier: one starting event, then the steps that run every time it happens) picks up a visit or a lead and passes it on, with nobody copying anything by hand.
Three results come up again and again. First, a sales ping when a company you care about shows up: New Target Account Visit fires, and a message lands in the channel where your reps already talk. Second, leads that reach the CRM without retyping: New Lead starts the Zap and a contact gets created on the other side. Third, target lists that maintain themselves: Add Target Account and Remove Target Account let another app decide who belongs on a list (a deal opened, a deal lost) while DigitalPilot just follows.
Now the limits, because they shape what you can build. There is no search step on this app, so a Zap cannot ask DigitalPilot whether a company already sits on a list before acting. No trigger watches the lists themselves either. And nothing reaches back in time: visits from before the Zap was switched on stay where they are. If the idea needs any of that, it needs another route (or a person).
The same app also has a DigitalPilot Make integration page, handy if you are weighing platforms. For a wider take on the tool itself, the Zapier review covers what it does well and where it frustrates.
Zapier vocabulary, in one minute
Seven words cover everything on this page. Each one is used exactly as defined here.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts a Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier sits and waits for that event to happen.
- Action
- The work the Zap carries out once a visit or lead has started it, like creating a CRM contact or posting an alert.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One task equals one action that finished successfully, and your plan counts those.
- Polling vs instant trigger
- Polling means Zapier checks the app on a timer. Instant means the app calls Zapier itself the moment the event happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when the incoming item meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Connection
- Your DigitalPilot account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step in every Zap that touches DigitalPilot.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap with more than one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes it one, and it needs a paid plan.
What it really costs
DigitalPilot is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. The bill depends on actions, never on visits.
- Premium appNo, available on the free plan
- Free plan tasks100 per month
- Free plan Zap sizeTwo steps: one trigger, one action
- Trigger costZero tasks
The trigger itself costs nothing, however many visits come in. Each action that succeeds counts as one task, and a failed one counts as zero. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and Zaps of two steps only: one trigger, one action. Add a filter or a second action and you are on a paid plan. The interval grid below applies to polling triggers; all three DigitalPilot triggers are instant, so it does not apply here.
Connect your DigitalPilot account
- 01
Open the connection dialog
In your Zapier account, go to the Apps page and click + Add connection. You need a DigitalPilot account already, plus access to any lists you do not own yourself but want the Zap to change.
- 02
Find DigitalPilot and confirm
Type DigitalPilot in the search box of the dialog, select it from the results, then click Add connection. A separate tab opens on the DigitalPilot side for the sign-in.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Log in to DigitalPilot in that tab and allow Zapier to use the account. The connection is saved, and every later Zap reuses it instead of asking you to sign in again.
Your first Zap: tell sales when a tracked account visits
GoalA company on your target list browses the site, a filter keeps only the visits worth a ping, and a Slack message reaches the sales channel.
- 01
Create the Zap and pick the trigger
Start a new Zap, choose DigitalPilot as the app and New Target Account Visit as the event. Select the connection you added earlier.
- 02
Test the trigger on real visits
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent visits from your account, so you pick a real one to map from rather than an empty template.
- 03
Add the filter
Click the plus icon, choose Filter, and set the field, the rule and the value. Base the rule on a value you actually saw in that test sample, and pick a text or number rule to match it.
- 04
Add the Slack action
Add Slack with Send Channel Message, choose the channel, and drop into the message the visit data you saw in the trigger test, so reps know which visit to look at.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test each step once and read what came back. When the message looks right, click Publish. Remember: with the filter, this Zap needs a paid plan.
DigitalPilot triggers
3 events start a Zap when something happens in DigitalPilot, and 3 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New High Intent Visit
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a business exhibiting high intent visit on your website, ensuring you never miss an opportunity to engage with motivated prospects.”
Fires when DigitalPilot flags a company whose browsing looks like serious buying interest. It is the trigger for reaching motivated prospects while they are still weighing their options, before the interest cools.
New Lead
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new lead is captured from your website or other sources.”
Starts the Zap each time DigitalPilot captures a lead, whether it came from your website or from another source feeding DigitalPilot. Think of it as the hand-off point between identification and the rest of your sales process.
New Target Account Visit
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a business you've identified as a high-priority target account browses your site.”
Goes off when a company you already marked as a priority account is browsing your site. Unlike the high-intent trigger, the selection is yours: only accounts on your target lists count.
DigitalPilot actions
DigitalPilot gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Add Target Account
ActionIn Zapier“Add a target account to follow or advertise”
Puts a company on one of your DigitalPilot target lists, so its visits get followed or it gets included in advertising. You give the company's website domain and choose the list.
Remove Target Account
ActionIn Zapier“Remove a target account”
Takes a company off a target list, matched by its domain name, so it stops counting as a priority. You pick the list it should leave.
When a DigitalPilot Zap breaks
Zapier links no help article to DigitalPilot, so the known failure points are the general ones. They still bite.
Four situations explain most surprises with this app. None of them shows up as an error on the DigitalPilot side, which is exactly why they are worth knowing before you publish.
Past visits never arrive
A Zap reacts only to what happens after it is switched on. Leads and visits from last month stay in DigitalPilot; moving that backlog is a separate job.A Zap that sets itself off
If a Zap writes into the very place its own trigger watches, it restarts again and again and eats through your task count fast. Map the flow before publishing.A sudden flood gets held back
After a bulk import, a trigger can return a huge batch at once. Zapier's flood protection may then hold those items back instead of running them all.A failed action is free
An action that does not go through is not counted against your plan. The flip side: a broken step costs nothing, so no bill will warn you that leads stopped flowing.
