Overview

What the Disparo PRO Zapier integration actually does

Disparo PRO is an SMS sending tool. Hooking it up to Zapier means text messages stop living in their own corner: a reply or a status change in Disparo PRO can start work in another app, and an event elsewhere can push a text out through Disparo PRO, with nobody copying numbers by hand.

Three results people usually build first. A reply inbox outside Disparo PRO: Response SMS catches each answer and drops it where the team already works, a chat channel or a spreadsheet. A delivery watch: Status SMS reports every status change, so a failed message can raise a flag instead of disappearing quietly. An automatic text from another tool: Send SMS takes a phone number and a message from an earlier step, an order or a booking, and sends it.

Now the part the app listing glosses over. There is no search here at all, so a Zap cannot look up a past message or a contact inside Disparo PRO. There is a single action, so nothing in Zapier edits, cancels or schedules a text. And both triggers are checked on a timer, never pushed the moment something happens (more on that in the cost section).

If you are weighing tools, the Disparo PRO Make integration page covers the same app on Make, and Make vs Zapier compares the two platforms on their own terms.

Vocabulary

Zapier words in one minute

Seven terms come back on every line of this page. Here they are in plain English.

Zap
The automation you build: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event shows up.
Trigger
The event that starts the Zap, here a new SMS reply or a status change. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it.
Action
What the Zap does after it starts. With Disparo PRO, the only action is sending a text message.
Task
The unit Zapier bills you for: one action completed successfully. Your plan allowance counts those, nothing else.
Polling vs instant
Polling means Zapier checks the app on a timer. Instant means the app calls Zapier right away. Both Disparo PRO triggers poll.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets your condition, and stops it quietly otherwise.
Connection
Your Disparo PRO account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step that talks to Disparo PRO.
Cost

What a Disparo PRO Zap really costs

Disparo PRO is not a premium app, so it runs on the free plan.

  • Trigger checkFree, every time
  • Successful Send SMS1 task
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps only
  • Premium appNo

Checking for new replies or statuses costs nothing, however often Zapier looks. Each Send SMS that goes through counts one task, and a failed send counts nothing. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and checks every 15 minutes. The catch: it only builds two-step Zaps, one trigger and one action. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. Paid plans check more often, as the grid shows.

Connect

Connect Disparo PRO to Zapier in three steps

  1. 01

    Open your connections

In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. You need an existing Disparo PRO account before this point, since Zapier links an account, it does not create one.

  2. 02

    Pick Disparo PRO

Type Disparo PRO in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Disparo PRO side so you can sign in with your usual credentials.

  3. 03

    Grant access

Approve Zapier's access to the account. From then on, every Zap step that uses Disparo PRO reuses this connection, so you set it up once and pick it from a list afterwards.

First Zap

Your first Zap: flag failed texts in Slack

GoalAn online shop sends shipping texts through Disparo PRO and wants the support team warned in Slack whenever one does not reach the customer.

  1. 01

    Create the Zap

Start building a new Zap, choose Disparo PRO as the trigger app and Status SMS as the event, then select the connection you just added.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items from your account, so you see real statuses and spot the exact value a failed message carries.

  3. 03

    Add the filter

Click the plus icon, pick Filter, choose the status field, a text rule, and paste that failure value. Only failed messages will go further.

  4. 04

    Add the Slack message

Add Slack with Send Channel Message, pick the support channel, and map the phone number and status from the trigger into the text.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Test each step and read what came back. Then click Publish. With a filter, this is a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.

Triggers

Disparo PRO triggers

2 events start a Zap when something happens in Disparo PRO. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.

1

Response SMS

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a SMS is answered.”

Starts your Zap whenever someone writes back to a text you sent through Disparo PRO, and hands the answer to the next step so it can be stored, routed or acted on.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one.
When to use it
a restaurant texts reservation reminders and wants every reply logged in a Google Sheets row the host checks before service.
Watch out
replies that arrived before the Zap was published are never picked up, so start it before the campaign goes out, not after.
2

Status SMS

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a sms status is changed.”

Fires each time the status of a message changes in Disparo PRO, which lets you follow a text from sending to delivery, or to failure, without opening the app.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one.
When to use it
a clinic sends appointment confirmations and needs to know which patients never got theirs, so the front desk can call them.
Watch out
one message can change status more than once, so add a filter on the status you care about or every change will run your action and cost a task.
Actions

Disparo PRO actions

Disparo PRO gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Send SMS

Action

In Zapier“Sends a new SMS”

Pushes a text message out through your Disparo PRO account, using a phone number and a message body you type or map from an earlier step.

When to use it
a new booking lands in Calendly and the customer gets a confirmation text a few moments later, with no one at the keyboard.
Watch out
both fields are required, and the number must be digits only with country code, like 5549912345678.
When it breaks

When a Disparo PRO Zap breaks

Zapier attaches no help article to Disparo PRO, and no app-specific rate limit is published.

What goes wrong here comes from how Zapier itself works, plus the strict phone format of Send SMS. Four cases cover most of it. For a step-by-step method, the Zapier troubleshooting guide walks through broken Zaps in general.

  • Old replies never show up

A Zap only reacts to what happens after you publish it. Replies and statuses that already existed stay where they are, and moving that backlog is a separate job.
  • The Zap keeps restarting itself

If a Zap built on Status SMS also sends texts, and those texts produce new statuses the trigger sees, it can set itself off again and again and drain your tasks fast.
  • A big batch gets held back

After a large campaign, a trigger can suddenly return a huge pile of items. Zapier's flood protection may hold that batch back instead of running everything at once.
  • Send SMS fails on the number

Spaces, dashes or a missing country code break the Telephone field. A failed send costs no task, but the customer gets nothing, so check the run history.

FAQ

Disparo PRO and Zapier: common questions

01Is the Disparo PRO Zapier integration free?
Yes, you can use it on the free Zapier plan, because Disparo PRO is not a premium app. The free plan includes 100 tasks a month and an unlimited number of Zaps. The limit that bites is the structure: a free Zap has exactly one trigger and one action. A reply logged straight into a sheet fits. A Zap that filters statuses first, or sends a text and then notifies someone, is multi-step and needs a paid plan. Your Disparo PRO account and its own SMS billing are a separate matter Zapier does not cover.
02How many Zapier tasks does a Disparo PRO Zap use?
One task for each action that completes successfully, nothing for the trigger. Zapier checking Disparo PRO for new replies or statuses is free no matter how often it happens. So a Zap that turns every reply into a Slack message costs one task per reply. A Send SMS that fails is not counted. The figure grows with the number of actions: a Zap with three actions per run uses three tasks each time it runs. On Status SMS, a filter keeps the count down because a single message can change status several times.
03Are Disparo PRO triggers real time?
No. Both Response SMS and Status SMS are polling triggers: Zapier asks Disparo PRO for new items on a timer rather than being told the moment something happens. On the free plan the check runs every 15 minutes. On Professional it runs every 2 minutes, and on Team or Enterprise every minute. On paid plans you can also run a check by hand from the editor. The type comes from the app itself, so no setting in Zapier can turn these triggers into instant ones.
04What is required to connect Disparo PRO to Zapier?
An existing Disparo PRO account you can sign in to, and a Zapier account. The connection is made once from the Apps page with + Add connection: you search for Disparo PRO, sign in in the tab that opens and grant access. Every later step reuses it. If the account belongs to someone else on your team, you need access to the messages the Zap should read or send. For Send SMS, have clean phone numbers ready, since the field takes digits only with the country code.
05Why does Send SMS reject a phone number?
Because the Telephone field expects one exact format: digits only, country code and area code included, with no spaces, plus sign or dashes. The example Disparo PRO gives starts with the country code, then the area code, then the line, all written as a single block. Numbers typed by customers in a form rarely look like that. The fix is to clean the number before the Send SMS step, either in the source app or with a formatting step. Remember that the Message field is required too, so an empty message breaks the run in the same way.
06What if the Disparo PRO operation you need is missing?
Then the integration simply does not offer it today. The Zapier side of Disparo PRO has two triggers and one action, with no search and no way to edit, schedule or cancel a message. Look at whether a trigger from your other app plus Send SMS covers the need: the sending side often can be rebuilt that way. Otherwise, check whether the Make page of the same app lists something different, or ask Disparo PRO whether more operations are planned. A missing operation is not something a Zap setting can add.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Disparo PRO?
It depends on criteria, not on a winner. On Zapier, Disparo PRO works on the free plan, but every trigger polls, so the free plan waits up to 15 minutes, and any filter means a paid plan. If replies can wait a few minutes and your Zaps stay at two steps, the free plan is enough. If you need to react within a couple of minutes, filter statuses, or chain several steps, compare the cost of a paid Zapier plan with the conditions the other platforms set for this specific app before choosing.
