Overview

What the Emercury Zapier integration does

The Emercury Zapier integration links your Emercury audiences to the rest of your tools through Zapier, a service that runs automations between apps without code. It offers one way in (a new subscriber shows up in an audience) and one way out (a contact gets added to an audience). That is the whole menu, and for list building it is often enough.

Three things people usually build with it. A list fed by your forms: a sign-up in Typeform or a booking tool lands in Emercury through Add Subscriber, with no file export in between. A heads-up for the team: New Subscriber starts a Zap that posts a message in a chat channel, so sales hears about every new contact. A second audience kept in step: the same trigger copies each new contact into another Emercury audience with Add Subscriber (a different one, or the Zap feeds itself).

What Zapier does not do here matters just as much. There is no search step, so a Zap cannot check whether a contact already sits in an audience before adding it. There is no action to update, tag or remove a subscriber. And the only trigger is a polling one, so nothing arrives the second it happens. If one of those gaps decides things for you, open the Emercury Make integration page, and read Make vs Zapier before you commit.

Vocabulary

Zapier in one minute

Eight words you will meet in the editor, in plain English.

Zap
One automation on Zapier: a trigger, then one or more actions, rerun every time that trigger event happens, sign-up after sign-up.
Trigger
What starts the Zap. For Emercury the only choice is New Subscriber; once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for each new sign-up.
Action
The step that does the work after the start, writing or sending something on your behalf. Emercury's single one is Add Subscriber.
Task
Zapier's billing unit: one action that went through. The monthly allowance on your plan counts these, not Zaps and not checks.
Polling vs instant
Polling means Zapier asks the app for news on a timer; instant means the app calls Zapier as it happens. New Subscriber is polling.
Filter
A step that checks what came in against your condition: the Zap carries on when it matches and halts right there when it does not.
Search step
A step that finds something already stored in an app so the next steps can use it. Emercury has none on Zapier, so no lookup.
Connection
Your Emercury login, linked to Zapier once and then shared by every Emercury step in every Zap you build afterwards.
Cost

What an Emercury Zap really costs

Short version: Emercury runs on the free plan, and the trigger never costs a task.

  • Free plan tasks100 per month
  • Trigger cost0 tasks
  • Premium appNo
  • Steps on Free2 (one trigger, one action)

Each Add Subscriber that succeeds counts as one task; one that fails costs nothing. Checking the audience for new subscribers is free, however often it happens. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps, and two steps per Zap. A filter or a second action turns it into a multi-step Zap, and that needs a paid plan. Paid plans also check faster, as the interval grid below shows plan by plan.

Connect

Connect Emercury to Zapier in three steps

  1. 01

Open Apps and add a connection

In your Zapier account, go to the Apps page and click + Add connection. A dialog opens with a search box: every app gets linked from here, Emercury included.

  2. 02

    Pick Emercury and confirm

Type Emercury in the dialog, pick it from the results, then click Add connection. You need an Emercury account first, plus access to any audience you do not own but want the Zap to touch.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

Sign in to Emercury in the tab that opens, then grant Zapier access to the account. From then on, every Emercury step in any of your Zaps can reuse that same connection.

First Zap

Your first Zap: Emercury sign-ups handed to sales in Pipedrive

GoalA B2B consulting firm turns every new subscriber of its white-paper audience into a Pipedrive person, then emails the account manager.

  1. 01

    Set the Emercury trigger

Start a new Zap, pick Emercury and New Subscriber, choose your connection, then the audience fed by the white-paper download. The Audience field is required.

  2. 02

    Test on a real contact

Run the test: Zapier brings back the three most recent subscribers of that audience. Pick one and look at what came back, since those values feed every later step.

  3. 03

    Add Pipedrive

Add Pipedrive with Create Person and map the test subscriber's details into the person fields. A second action makes this a multi-step Zap (anything past one trigger and one action), so it needs a paid plan.

  4. 04

    Add Gmail, test, publish

Add Gmail with Send Email and write the note for the account manager. Test each step, check the person and the email, then click Publish. Only sign-ups after that click go through.

Triggers

The Emercury trigger

1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Emercury. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.

1

New Subscriber

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when there's a new subscriber in the audience.”

Starts a Zap whenever a fresh contact joins the Emercury audience you point it at. Everything downstream (a row in a sheet, a message to the team, a record in another tool) begins here.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one.
When to use it
when someone on the team should hear about each sign-up without opening Emercury.
Watch out
the Audience field is required, so pick the right one before testing, since the three sample contacts come from it.
Actions

The Emercury action

Emercury gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Add Subscriber

Action

In Zapier“Add new subscriber to audience.”

Puts a contact into an Emercury audience using data from another app. Give it an email and an audience, and the subscriber is created there.

When to use it
when sign-ups land in a form, a booking tool or a checkout and you still import them by hand.
Watch out
nothing documents what happens to an address already on the list, so run the first test with a new one.
When it breaks

When the Emercury Zap breaks

Emercury has no Zapier help article of its own and no recorded app-specific limit, so every failure below comes from how Zapier itself behaves.

Each of these four turns up on an audience-based Zap sooner or later, so skim them before publishing rather than after a strange result. Anything else goes to Zapier troubleshooting.

  • Old subscribers never show up

A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Contacts already sitting in the audience are not picked up; moving that backlog is a separate job.
  • The Zap keeps feeding itself

If New Subscriber watches audience A and Add Subscriber writes into audience A, every add starts the Zap again and burns tasks fast. Use two different audiences.
  • A bulk import stalls the trigger

Importing a large batch into a watched audience can make the trigger return a flood of contacts at once, and Zapier's flood protection may hold them back.
  • No contact runs twice

Zapier remembers which subscribers the polling trigger has already seen, so the same contact never starts the Zap a second time. By design.

FAQ

Emercury and Zapier: common questions

01Is the Emercury Zapier integration free?
Yes, on the free plan. Emercury is not a premium app, so it works without paying Zapier anything. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps and a check every 15 minutes. The catch is the step count: a free Zap holds one trigger and one action, nothing more. New Subscriber followed by Add Subscriber fits. Add a filter, a second action or a search, and the Zap becomes multi-step, which requires a paid plan. Emercury's own pricing is a separate matter that this page does not cover.
02How many tasks does an Emercury Zap use?
One task per action that succeeds. The New Subscriber trigger costs nothing, however often Zapier checks the audience. Each time Add Subscriber puts a contact in, that counts as one task. A Zap that adds a contact and then posts a message in another app uses two tasks per subscriber. A failed action is not counted against your plan. With the free plan's 100 tasks a month, that means up to 100 adds with a single-action Zap, or half as many with two actions.
03Does Emercury trigger Zaps in real time?
No. New Subscriber is a polling trigger: Zapier asks Emercury for new contacts on a timer, then keeps only those it has not seen yet. The interval depends on the plan: every 15 minutes on Free, 2 minutes on Professional, 1 minute on Team and Enterprise. On paid plans the interval can be changed, and a check can be run by hand from the editor. The trigger type is decided by Emercury itself, so no setting in Zapier turns it into an instant one.
04What does it take to connect an Emercury account?
An Emercury account, plus read or write access to any audience you do not own but want the Zap to use. The rest happens in Zapier: open the Apps page, click + Add connection, search for Emercury, confirm, sign in to Emercury and grant access. Before that, check that the account holds at least one audience. Both operations require one, and a step with no audience to pick cannot be finished. The connection is made once, then every Emercury step reuses it.
05Can Zapier copy existing Emercury subscribers?
No. A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is published. Contacts already in an audience on that day are never picked up by New Subscriber, whatever the plan. Moving that backlog is a separate job, done outside the Zap. Watch the reverse case too: if you import a large batch into a watched audience after publishing, the trigger may return a flood at once, and Zapier's flood protection can hold it back. Run big imports before the Zap goes live, or into an audience it does not watch.
06What if the Emercury operation you want is not there?
Then Zapier cannot do it with this app today. The menu stops at New Subscriber and Add Subscriber: no search, no update, no unsubscribe, no tagging. A filter can narrow which contacts go through, and another app's steps can handle what comes after, but nothing reaches inside Emercury beyond adding a contact. If a missing operation is the core of the project, compare tools on that exact point before building, rather than stacking workarounds around a two-item menu.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Emercury?
It comes down to three criteria, not a ranking. First, what you expect from Emercury: on Zapier the menu is one trigger and one action, so check whether another tool documents the operation you are missing. Second, the step count: a filter or a second action makes a Zapier Zap multi-step, and paid. Third, speed: the trigger polls every 15 minutes on Free, down to 1 minute on Team or Enterprise. Weigh those three points against what each tool documents for Emercury, then decide.
