Minutemailer Zapier integrationAutomate Minutemailer with Zapier.
The Minutemailer Zapier integration gives you 0 triggers, 1 action and 0 searches. Minutemailer never starts a Zap: another app does, and Minutemailer then adds the person it hands over as a new subscriber, ready for your next newsletter.

What the Minutemailer Zapier integration actually does
The Minutemailer Zapier integration lets your other tools feed your mailing list. Minutemailer is a service for creating and sending newsletters and marketing emails. On Zapier it does one job: a different app reports a new person, and Minutemailer adds that person as a subscriber.
One action, but it covers several outcomes. A list that grows from your forms: each submission becomes a subscriber through Add Contact, without copying anything by hand. A list that follows your spreadsheet: a new row with an email address turns into a new contact. A list fed by your CRM: when a contact is created there, the same person reaches Minutemailer, so your next newsletter goes to everyone you know about.
Now the part the app page does not spell out. Minutemailer has no trigger on Zapier, so nothing that happens inside Minutemailer can start a Zap; the starting event always lives in another tool. There is no search step either, so a Zap cannot check whether a subscriber already exists before adding them. And the catalog has no action to send a campaign: Zapier fills the list, you still send from Minutemailer.
If you are still choosing a tool for this kind of flow, see our Make vs Zapier comparison, or our Zapier review.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Eight words come back on every Zapier screen. Here they are in plain terms, once each.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it. Minutemailer offers none, so it comes from another app.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you. Add Contact is the only Minutemailer one.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The number on your plan counts those.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked on a timer for new items. An instant trigger is reported by the app the moment the event happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Search step
- A step that looks up something already stored in an app, so later steps can reuse it. Minutemailer has none.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action, a filter or a search makes one, and it needs a paid plan.
What a Minutemailer Zap really costs
Minutemailer is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. Zapier bills the contacts it adds, nothing else.
- Premium appNo, works on the free plan
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited two-step Zaps
- BilledEach contact added successfully, one task
- Not billedThe trigger, checks for new data, failed actions
The trigger of your other app costs nothing, however often Zapier checks it. Each Add Contact that succeeds costs one task, and one that fails is not counted: a hundred new subscribers is a hundred tasks, the whole monthly allowance of the free plan. That plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but each Zap stops at two steps, so adding a filter needs a paid plan. The interval grid below only concerns the trigger of your other app when it is a polling one: Minutemailer has no trigger of its own.
Connect Minutemailer to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. You need an account on Minutemailer, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.
- 02
Pick Minutemailer
Type Minutemailer in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new tab opens so you can sign in to the Minutemailer account that will receive the contacts.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Sign in to Minutemailer in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. Every Minutemailer step in every Zap then reuses this connection, so you set it up only once.
Your first Minutemailer Zap
GoalEach person who fills in your form joins your Minutemailer list, but only when the submission passes your condition.
- 01
Build the trigger
Create a Zap and pick your form tool with its new-submission event. Testing it brings back the three most recent items of the connected account, so you map on a real submission.
- 02
Add a filter
Click the plus icon and add Filter. Set the field to look at, the rule and the value. A filter makes this a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan.
- 03
Add Add Contact
Add a step, pick Minutemailer, then Add Contact. Map the email answer of the form into the Email field, which is the one the step requires.
- 04
Test each step
Run each step once and read what came back before going further. Check in Minutemailer that the test contact now appears in your subscribers.
- 05
Publish
Click Publish to switch the Zap on. Only submissions made after this point join the list; people who answered earlier are left out.
Minutemailer action on Zapier
Minutemailer gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

ActionIn Zapier“Add a new subscriber”
Hand Minutemailer an email address and it adds a new subscriber to your account, ready to receive the newsletters you send from there.
When a Minutemailer Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to Minutemailer, and no limit specific to the app is documented. What breaks comes from the way Zapier itself works.
These four cases apply to every Zap that ends in Minutemailer. When a run fails and you cannot see why, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.
Your existing list is not copied
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. People already in your form or sheet are not sent to Minutemailer; importing them is a separate job.A Zap that sets itself off
A Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches can start itself again and again and burn through your tasks. Keep the trigger and the target apart.A big batch held back
After a bulk import or a migration, a trigger that suddenly returns a huge batch can be held back by Zapier's flood protection instead of running through. The same item, once
On a polling trigger, Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen, so the same item does not start the Zap twice.
