Overview

What connecting Enterpret to Zapier actually does

Connecting Enterpret to Zapier means feeding it from the outside. Enterpret has no event of its own that can start an automation, so the integration runs one way only: a form, a sheet or a review tool sets things off, and Enterpret receives the record through one of its two actions, survey data or review data.

Three typical results. A survey answer from your form tool reaches Enterpret through Ingest Survey Data, its questions and answers kept together in one record. A product review pasted into a spreadsheet becomes a review record via Ingest Review Data, dated with the moment the customer wrote it. And a feedback channel you used to export by hand gets its own Source ID, set once in the action, so you always know where each record came from.

What Zapier does not do here: it cannot start anything from Enterpret, it cannot read back what Enterpret found, and it cannot look up a record already stored there. No trigger, no search, just those two ways in, both inbound. It also ignores everything older than the moment you switch the automation on (past feedback needs a separate import).

Vocabulary

The Zapier terms behind each Enterpret record

Eight terms carry this page. Each one is defined once, with a survey answer or a review on its way to Enterpret in mind.

Zap
Your automation on Zapier. For Enterpret it opens in a form, sheet or review tool, and ends with one or more actions, one of them sending the record in.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Enterpret has none, so another app always plays this part for it.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started. Here, it is Enterpret receiving a survey response or a customer review.
Task
What Zapier bills: one action that completes. One survey answer accepted by Enterpret is one task, and the monthly count of your plan adds those up.
Polling vs instant
Polling: Zapier checks the source app on a timer. Instant: the app calls Zapier right away. The trigger app decides, not Enterpret.
Filter
A step that holds the record back unless it meets the condition you set, such as a non-empty answer; when it fails the check, nothing reaches Enterpret.
Connection
Your Enterpret account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step that sends data to Enterpret.
Multi-step Zap
Anything beyond one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action makes a Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan.
Cost

What sending feedback to Enterpret costs

Enterpret is not a premium app, so it runs on the Free plan. You pay in tasks, and only the Enterpret side spends them.

  • Tasks on Free100 per month
  • Zap size on Free2 steps
  • Premium appNo
  • Cost of the trigger0 task

The trigger in the other app never costs a task, however often Zapier checks it. Each record Enterpret accepts counts as one task, and a record that fails is not counted. The Free plan gives 100 tasks a month and two-step Zaps only: one trigger, one action. Add a filter and the Zap turns multi-step, so it moves to a paid plan. The same goes for a second action, such as copying each record into a spreadsheet after Enterpret.

Connect

Connect Enterpret to Zapier in 3 steps

  1. 01

    Open the connection screen

In your Zapier account, go to the Apps page and click + Add connection. Check first that you have an Enterpret account, plus write access to anything in it you don't own but want the Zap to touch.

  2. 02

    Pick Enterpret

Type Enterpret in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. Zapier now hands you over to Enterpret so you can sign in with the right account.

  3. 03

    Grant access

Sign in to Enterpret with the account that should receive the data, then allow Zapier to use it. The connection shows up in your Apps list, and every Zap step that sends data to Enterpret can reuse it.

First Zap

Your first Zap: Typeform answers into Enterpret

GoalSend each new Typeform survey entry to Enterpret as survey data, but only when the respondent left a comment.

  1. 01

    Create the Zap

Start a new Zap and pick Typeform as the app that starts it, with New Entry as the event. Connect the Typeform account that owns the survey, then choose the form.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent entries of that form, so you map fields from a real response instead of guessing.

  3. 03

    Add the filter

Click the plus icon, add a Filter and point it at the comment answer you spotted in the test sample, with a rule that keeps filled-in comments only. This step makes the Zap multi-step: paid plan.

  4. 04

    Add Enterpret

Pick Enterpret and Ingest Survey Data. Map the entry's unique identifier to ID, its submission time to Created At, and the questions with their answers to Survey Response. Paste your API KEY and set a Source ID.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Test the action and check that Enterpret accepted the record. If it did, click Publish: the Zap is on, and only entries submitted from now on will travel.

Actions

Enterpret actions in Zapier

Enterpret gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Ingest Survey Data

Action

In Zapier“Ingests Survey Data for Enterpret”

Hands Enterpret one survey response, questions and answers together, so it joins the rest of your customer feedback for analysis. Each response needs its own ID, the moment it was given and a Source ID naming the survey it came from.

When to use it
your form tool collects satisfaction or NPS answers and you want them in Enterpret without exporting files.
Watch out
reuse the ID of a response already sent and Enterpret de-duplicates it, so map the form's own response identifier.
2

Ingest Review Data

Action

In Zapier“Ingests Review Data for Enterpret”

Sends a single customer review to Enterpret as plain text, filed under the source you name. Created At carries the date the customer wrote it, which is the timestamp Enterpret uses to follow trends over time.

When to use it
reviews gathered in a spreadsheet or a support tool should be read next to your survey answers.
Watch out
Review Text is mandatory, so a star rating with no words attached gives this action nothing to send.
When it breaks

When the Enterpret Zap breaks

Zapier links no help article to Enterpret. The failures below come from how every Zap works, applied to this app.

Most problems start on the trigger side, in the app that feeds Enterpret. If none of these cases matches yours, Zapier troubleshooting is the next stop.

  • Old feedback never arrives

A Zap only reacts to what happens after you publish it. Responses or reviews collected before that stay put; moving that backlog into Enterpret is a separate import.
  • A bulk import gets held back

If the trigger app suddenly returns a huge batch, after a migration for example, Zapier's flood protection can hold those items back instead of pushing them all to Enterpret.
  • The same response, sent twice

On a polling trigger, Zapier remembers what it has already seen. On the Enterpret side, the ID field does the same job: a record whose ID was already received is de-duplicated.
  • The action fails on an empty field

ID, Created At, API KEY, Source ID and the survey or review text are all required. If the trigger leaves one empty, the action fails, and a failed action costs no task.

FAQ

Enterpret Zapier integration: common questions

01Is the Enterpret Zapier integration free?
Yes, it can run for free. Enterpret is not a premium app, so it works on the Zapier Free plan, which includes 100 tasks a month and an unlimited number of Zaps. The catch is size: on Free, a Zap holds two steps only, one trigger and one action. A form tool starting the Zap plus Enterpret receiving the response fits exactly. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which requires a paid plan. No price is quoted here, because plan prices change too often to stay accurate on a page like this one.
02How many tasks does sending feedback to Enterpret use?
One task per record that Enterpret accepts. The trigger in the source app costs nothing, and neither do the checks Zapier runs for new data, however frequent they are. Only a completed action is billed. If the action fails, for example because a required field arrived empty, it is not counted. In a Zap with several actions, each successful one counts on its own, so a Zap that sends a response to Enterpret and also to a spreadsheet spends two tasks per response. A few apps take more than one task per action, so keep an eye on usage after the first runs.
03Does Enterpret receive feedback in real time?
It depends on the app that starts the Zap, since Enterpret has no trigger of its own. If that app offers an instant trigger, the record leaves as soon as the event happens, whatever your plan. If it relies on a polling trigger, Zapier checks on a timer set by your plan: every 15 minutes on Free, every 2 minutes on Professional, every minute on Team and Enterprise. A Zap built on an instant trigger shows a lightning bolt in the editor, which is the quickest way to tell before going further.
04What does connecting Enterpret to Zapier require?
An Enterpret account, plus access to anything in it you do not own but want the Zap to write into. The connection takes three moves: the Apps page, + Add connection, then signing in to Enterpret and granting access. Separately, each action asks for an API KEY, the key of the Enterpret integration that should receive the data. The Enterpret help center explains how to generate it. Have that key ready before building, otherwise the action setup stalls halfway and the Zap cannot be tested.
05Why does Enterpret ignore some records sent from Zapier?
Usually because of the ID field. Enterpret uses it to de-duplicate feedback, so two records carrying the same ID count as one. That happens when the mapped value repeats, such as a form name or a customer email, instead of the unique identifier of each response. Map an identifier that changes with every submission and the problem goes away. The other common cause is a required field left empty by the trigger app: the action then fails, and that failed run does not cost a task.
06What if Enterpret lacks the operation you need in Zapier?
Then Zapier cannot do it through this app. The Enterpret integration has exactly two actions, Ingest Survey Data and Ingest Review Data, with no trigger and no search. A Zap cannot start from something happening inside Enterpret, and it cannot read anything back from it. What stays possible is the inbound direction: any app with a trigger in Zapier can feed one of those two actions. If the job runs the other way round, from Enterpret to another tool, this integration is not the right route.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Enterpret?
Decide by criteria rather than by brand. On Zapier, Enterpret offers two inbound actions, runs on the Free plan, and needs a paid plan as soon as a filter enters the Zap. So the first question is whether sending survey answers and reviews into Enterpret covers the use case. The second is volume: each accepted record costs one task, against 100 a month on Free. The third is whether the app holding your feedback has a trigger on the platform you pick. Check those three points against the catalog of each tool before choosing.
