Favro Zapier integrationAutomate Favro with Zapier.
The Favro Zapier integration has 0 triggers, 1 action and 0 searches. Put plainly: Favro never starts a Zap, it receives one. Another app sends the signal, a form or a CRM for instance, and Zapier turns it into a fresh Favro card.

What Favro and Zapier really do together
Connecting Favro to Zapier means one thing: a card appears in Favro whenever something happens in another app. A Zap (the automation you build on Zapier, one starting event followed by one or more steps) listens to that other app and writes the card for you. Favro sits at the receiving end, always.
Three outcomes come up again and again, all built on the same action, Create Card. A bug report filed through a form becomes a card that QA can pick up the same morning. A signed deal in a CRM becomes an onboarding card, so nobody retypes the client name. A flagged email becomes a card in the team's planning board instead of sitting unread in someone's inbox.
Now the honest part. Zapier offers no Favro trigger at all, so a moved card, a closed task or a new comment in Favro can never start a Zap. There is no search either, which means a Zap cannot look up an existing card before writing. And a card, once created, cannot be edited or moved from Zapier: the only visible action is the one that creates it.
If the plan is to react to what happens inside Favro, check the Favro Make integration page before deciding, and the Make vs Zapier comparison lays out how the two tools differ in general.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words cover everything on this page. Each one is defined here once, then used as is.
- Trigger
- The event that starts a Zap. Favro offers none, so on this page the trigger always belongs to the other app: a form, a CRM, an inbox.
- Action
- The step a Zap runs once started, the one that writes something somewhere. On Favro there is exactly one: a new card on a board.
- Task
- Zapier's billing unit: one action that succeeded. Here that means one card created; the monthly allowance of your plan counts them.
- Polling vs instant
- Polling: Zapier asks the starting app for news on a timer. Instant: that app pings Zapier itself. With Favro, the starting app decides.
- Filter
- A gate placed before Create Card: what arrives either meets your condition and goes on to Favro, or the Zap stops right there.
- Connection
- Your Favro login linked to Zapier one time, then picked up by every Favro step in every Zap without signing in again.
- Multi-step Zap
- Anything longer than one trigger plus one action. The filter in the Zap below already makes one, and that calls for a paid plan.
What a Favro Zap actually costs
Favro is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. The bill depends on cards created, never on how often Zapier looks for new data.
- Premium appNo, available on the free plan
- Free plan100 tasks per month, two-step Zaps
- What countsEach card created successfully
- What is freeThe trigger and every check for new data
The trigger costs nothing, and neither do the checks. Each card that Create Card writes successfully counts as one task; a card that fails is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and Zaps of two steps only. Add a filter and the Zap becomes multi-step, which takes it out of the free plan. Speed is a separate question: Favro has no trigger, so the check interval below applies only when the app that starts the Zap uses a polling trigger.
Connect your Favro account to Zapier
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. A dialog opens with a search box. You need an existing Favro account; Zapier does not create one.
- 02
Pick Favro and add it
Type Favro in the search box, select it, then click Add connection. Zapier opens a new tab so you can sign in to Favro with the account the cards should come from.
- 03
Grant access
Sign in to Favro and allow Zapier to use the account. The connection is saved once, then every Zap with a Favro step reuses it. For boards you do not own, ask their owner for write access first.
Your first Zap: game-studio bug reports straight into Favro
GoalEvery Typeform bug report marked as blocking becomes a Favro card for the QA team.
- 01
Build the trigger
Create a new Zap and pick Typeform as the app that starts it, with the bug-report form you already use. Favro has no trigger, so the starting point always lives in another tool.
- 02
Test it on a real entry
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent entries of the connected form, so you map fields on a genuine report rather than on placeholder text.
- 03
Add the filter
From the plus icon, add Filter. Choose the severity answer you spotted in the test, the rule for text, and the value Blocking. This step is what makes the Zap multi-step.
- 04
Add Create Card
Add Favro, choose Create Card, pick the Organization, then map the report title into Name. Both fields are required, so the step will not test until they are filled.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test the action and open Favro to check that the card landed where you expected. Then click Publish to switch the Zap on. Only reports submitted after that moment are picked up.
The Favro action available in Zapier
Favro gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Create Card
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a new card.”
Writes a brand-new card in Favro from whatever the trigger app sent, so a request lands on the board without anyone copying it over.
When a Favro Zap breaks
Favro has no Zapier help article and no recorded limit of its own. The four cases below are Zapier behaviors, seen from the card side.
Most surprises on a Favro Zap trace back to one of these, and none of them is a Favro bug. Past them, Zapier troubleshooting covers the rest.
Old entries never become cards
A Zap only reacts to events that happen after it is switched on. Reports submitted last month stay where they are; moving that backlog into Favro is a separate job.A bulk import gets held back
Import a large batch into the form or CRM that starts the Zap and it may return a flood at once; Zapier's flood protection can then hold those items back rather than pile cards on the board. One entry, one card
When the starting app is polled, Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen, so a single entry never produces two Favro cards on its own.The card step fails on a blank title
Name is required. If the trigger sometimes sends an empty value, Create Card fails, and that failed run is not billed as a task.
