What the Lawbrokr Zapier integration does for a law firm
Lawbrokr is a pre-screening platform that helps law firms pre-qualify the leads that reach them. Its Zapier integration turns each completed lead into the start of a Zap, the automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions in other apps. The point is to get qualified lead data out of Lawbrokr and into the tools the firm already uses.
Three results you can build. A hand-off: each New Lead goes straight to one action in another tool, a two-step Zap that runs on the free plan. A screened queue: a filter between the trigger and the action lets through only the leads that meet your condition, which suits a firm that already pre-qualifies. A fan-out: one completed lead feeds several actions in a row, each billed as its own task. The last two are multi-step Zaps and need a paid plan.
What Zapier does not do here: it cannot write anything into Lawbrokr, because the app offers no action, and it cannot look a lead up in it, because there is no search. It never brings in leads completed before your Zap was switched on. The good news sits on the other side: New Lead is an instant trigger, so the Zap starts the moment a lead is completed, on every plan, free included.

Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Six words carry the rest of this page.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier. One trigger starts it, then one or more actions run every time that trigger fires.
- Trigger
- The event that starts a Zap. With Lawbrokr it is New Lead; once the Zap is switched on, Zapier waits for it.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you in another app.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action that completed successfully. The monthly count on your plan is a count of those.
- Instant vs polling
- Instant: the app calls Zapier the moment the event happens. Polling: Zapier asks the app on a timer. New Lead is instant.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
What it really costs
The New Lead trigger never costs a task. Only an action that completes successfully is billed, and each one counts on its own.
- New Lead triggerNo task, instant on every plan
- Each successful actionCounted as a task
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
- Premium appNo
A Zap with three actions uses three times what a one-action Zap does, a failed action is not counted, and a few apps and actions take more than one task. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and two-step Zaps only: a filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan. Lawbrokr is not a premium app. New Lead is an instant trigger, so the interval grid below does not apply to it.
Connect your Lawbrokr account in three steps
- 01
Open the Apps page
Sign in to Zapier and open the Apps page of your account. Your connections live there: each one links an account to Zapier once, then every Zap reuses it. Have your Lawbrokr account ready.
- 02
Add Lawbrokr
Click + Add connection, type Lawbrokr in the search box of the dialog and pick it. Then click Add connection to open the Lawbrokr sign-in in a new tab.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Sign in to Lawbrokr in that tab, then grant Zapier access to the account. If the leads you want the Zap to pick up are not yours, check first that your account can read them.
Your first Zap with New Lead
GoalSend each completed Lawbrokr lead that meets your condition to another tool.
- 01
Start from New Lead
In the editor, pick Lawbrokr as the app that starts the Zap and New Lead as the event, then choose the connection you just added.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent leads of the connected account, so the following steps are mapped on a real one.
- 03
Add the filter
Click the plus icon under the trigger and add a Filter: field, rule, value. A text rule only works on text and a number rule on numbers, or it never passes.
- 04
Add the action
Add the step in the other tool that should receive the lead and map the Lawbrokr details into it. Test it once and read what came back before going on.
- 05
Publish
Publish the Zap to switch it on. From then on it starts as each new lead is completed. With the filter on board, it needs a paid plan.
The Lawbrokr trigger
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Lawbrokr, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Lead
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new lead is completed.”
Your Zap starts as soon as a lead finishes going through Lawbrokr, and the details collected become available to every step after it.
When it breaks
Zapier links no help article to Lawbrokr and lists no limit of its own.
The cases below come from how Zapier handles any app, plus what the trigger's own wording implies. For other cases, see Zapier troubleshooting.
No backfill of earlier leads
A Zap only reacts to leads completed after it is switched on. Leads already in Lawbrokr are never picked up, and moving them is a separate job.Only completed leads count
New Lead fires when a lead is completed. A lead that never reaches that stage never starts the Zap, so nothing reaches the next steps before then.Bulk arrivals held back
If a huge batch of leads lands at once, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back instead of running everything.A filter changes the plan
The free plan builds two-step Zaps. A filter between New Lead and the action makes the Zap multi-step, and it then needs a paid plan to run.
