LawSync Zapier integrationAutomate LawSync with Zapier.
The LawSync Zapier integration gives you 3 triggers, 0 actions and 0 searches: new cases, new documents and new form responses start a Zap that acts in another app. All three are instant, and the app works on the free plan. Here is how each one behaves.

What the LawSync Zapier integration is for
LawSync is case management software for attorneys, with document templates, e-signatures and intake forms. On Zapier it works in one direction only: LawSync tells Zapier when a case, a document or a form response is created, and the Zap carries that news to another app. You build it once as a Zap.
Three results follow from the three triggers. A new case announced at once: Case Created passes each new case to the tool where the rest of the work is tracked. Documents that do not stay buried: Document Created fires for every document, generated from a template or uploaded by anyone, so a copy or a notice can follow. Intake answers put to use: Form Response Created hands each new response to the next step.
What Zapier does not do here matters just as much. LawSync offers no action and no search on Zapier: a Zap cannot create a case, update a record or look anything up in LawSync. Every Zap you build reads from LawSync and writes elsewhere. Nothing that existed before the Zap was switched on is picked up either.
The good side: all 3 triggers are instant, so even on the free plan nothing waits for a 15-minute check. To compare Zapier with the alternatives, see our Zapier review and n8n vs Zapier are there to open.
Zapier vocabulary for this page
Six terms come back throughout the page. Each is explained once, in plain English.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event that starts the Zap, such as a new case in LawSync. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it to happen.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something. With LawSync, it always runs in another app.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. Your plan allowance counts those and nothing else.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked on a timer; an instant one is reported by the app right away. All three LawSync triggers are instant.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
What a LawSync Zap really costs
LawSync is not reserved for paid plans, so the free plan can use it. You pay in tasks, and only successful actions create them.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps
- Zap size on free2 steps: one trigger, one action
- Paid plan requiredNo, LawSync works on the free plan
- Instant triggers3 of 3, no polling interval
The LawSync side costs nothing: a trigger never consumes a task, and LawSync has no action to bill. What counts is the action in the other app, once per successful run, and a failed action is not counted. On the free plan, a Zap holds one trigger and one action, which fits the classic LawSync setup: a trigger here, one step there. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. The interval grid below does not touch LawSync, whose triggers are all instant.
Connect your LawSync account
- 01
Open your apps
Go to the Apps page of your Zapier account and click + Add connection. A connection is your LawSync account linked once, then reused by every Zap that starts from it.
- 02
Pick LawSync
In the dialog that appears, type LawSync in the search box, select it in the list of results, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens on the LawSync side.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Sign in to LawSync in that tab and grant Zapier access. You need an account on the app, plus read access on any case, document or form you do not own and want the Zap to see.
Your first LawSync Zap
GoalWhen a new intake form response arrives in LawSync, keep only the ones that meet your condition and send them to another app.
- 01
Set the trigger
Create a Zap, choose LawSync as the app and Form Response Created as the event, then select your connection and the Form to watch.
- 02
Test on real responses
Run the test: Zapier brings back the three most recent responses of that form. Pick one that looks like the responses you expect to handle.
- 03
Add a filter
Add a Filter step and set the field to look at, the rule and the value to compare with. Pick a text rule for text and a number rule for numbers.
- 04
Add the action elsewhere
Add the action in the other app and map the answers from the response into its fields. This is the only step of the Zap that consumes a task.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test each step and read what came back, then publish the Zap to switch it on. With the filter, this is a multi-step Zap that needs a paid plan.
LawSync triggers
3 events start a Zap when something happens in LawSync, and 3 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
Case Created
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new case is created.”
The Zap starts each time a new case is opened in LawSync, and it carries that case to the next step. Since LawSync is a case management tool, this is the central event of the app.
Document Created
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when any document is created when generated or uploaded by any party.”
This one reacts to any new document in LawSync, whether it was generated from a template or uploaded, and whoever did it. Each document starts its own run of the Zap.
Form Response Created
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new form response is received.”
When someone answers a LawSync form, such as an intake form, the response starts the Zap with all its answers. It turns a form into the start of a process, not just a record.
When a LawSync Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article and no documented limit to LawSync. What can go wrong comes from how Zapier works in general.
Three cases cover most surprises. For anything else, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.
Older cases never come through
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Cases, documents and responses created before stay in LawSync; moving that history is a separate job.A bulk import gets held back
When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a mass import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back instead of running everything.More documents than expected
Document Created fires for every document, generated or uploaded by any party. Without a filter, each one runs the Zap and the action in the other app bills a task.
