Layerise Zapier integration: 6 triggers, 0 actions and 0 searches. Layerise only speaks first. When a customer signs up, registers a product, changes details or writes a diary record, it tells Zapier at once, and your other apps take it from there.

Overview

What the Layerise Zapier integration actually does

The Layerise Zapier integration turns what your customers do inside Layerise into a starting signal for your other tools. Layerise is where you build product assistants that guide and talk to your customers; Zapier carries each customer event out of it. The integration only goes one way: Layerise starts Zaps, it never receives anything back.

Three outcomes cover most uses. A customer record that follows the customer: New Customer Registration, Customer Updated and Customer Deleted keep another app aware of who joins, who changes and who leaves. A product registration that lands where it is needed: Customer Product Registration and Customer Product Registration Updated pass on each product a customer registers or edits. And a diary entry that does not stay buried: Customer New Diary starts a Zap whenever a customer writes a new diary record.

Now the limits. Zapier offers no action and no search for Layerise, so a Zap can never create a customer, edit a registration or look anything up inside Layerise. Every Layerise Zap reads from Layerise and writes somewhere else. The good news: all six triggers are instant, which matters a lot on a free plan.

The same app also exists on Make, and see our Layerise Make integration page. For the wider picture, open our Make vs Zapier page.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Seven words carry the rest of the page. Each one is explained here once, then used as is.

Zap
The automation you build: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every single time that trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it. Layerise offers six of them.
Action
What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you. With Layerise, it always lives in another app.
Task
The unit Zapier bills. One task equals one action your Zap completes successfully; your plan counts those, nothing else.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked on a timer for new items. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself the moment the event happens.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets a condition you set, and quietly stops it otherwise.
Connection
Your Layerise account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap that starts from Layerise.
Cost

What a Layerise Zap really costs

Layerise is not a premium app, so it works from the free plan. And since every Layerise step is a trigger, Layerise itself never costs you a task.

  • Premium appNo, available on the free plan
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps
  • Free plan Zap sizeTwo steps: one trigger, one action
  • Layerise triggersAll 6 instant, no waiting for a check

The trigger never consumes a task. What you pay for is the action in the other app: each one that succeeds counts once, and an action that fails is not billed. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, limited to two steps: one trigger, one action. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step (anything beyond one trigger and one action), which needs a paid plan. The interval grid below does not apply here, because all six Layerise triggers are instant: they fire straight away on any plan.

Connect

Connect Layerise to Zapier in three steps

  1. 01

    Open the Apps page

In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. You need a Layerise account, plus access to any data you do not own yourself but want the Zap to read.

  2. 02

    Pick Layerise

Type Layerise in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Layerise side, where the real sign-in takes place.

  3. 03

    Sign in and allow access

Log in to Layerise in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection then appears in your list, and every Zap that starts from Layerise can reuse it.

First Zap

Your first Layerise Zap, step by step

GoalSend each new Layerise customer to another app, but only when the data matches a condition you choose.

  1. 01

    Create the Zap

Create a new Zap, pick Layerise as the app that starts it and choose New Customer Registration as the event. Select your Layerise connection.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent customers of the connected account, so you build the rest of the Zap on a real record instead of a guess.

  3. 03

    Add a filter

Click the plus icon, add Filter, open Configure & test and set the field to look at, the rule and the value. Pick a text rule for text and a number rule for numbers, or the filter never passes.

  4. 04

    Add the action

Add the app that should receive the customer and choose its action. Map the Layerise fields from the trigger into it, then test the step.

  5. 05

    Publish

Read what each test sent back, then click Publish. Because of the filter, this Zap is multi-step and needs a paid plan; without it, the free plan is enough.

Triggers

Layerise triggers in Zapier

6 events start a Zap when something happens in Layerise, and 6 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.

1

Customer Deleted

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a customer is deleted”

Starts a Zap each time a customer is removed from Layerise, so the other tools you use hear about the departure instead of keeping a ghost record. Whatever the Zap does next happens in that other app, since Layerise has no action to call back.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
a list elsewhere should drop or flag the customer as soon as Layerise no longer has them.
Watch out
a deletion that happened before the Zap was switched on will never be sent, so older removals have to be cleaned up by hand.
2

Customer Product Registration

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a customer registers a product”

Kicks off whenever a customer registers a product in Layerise. The Zap receives that registration and can pass it to whichever app keeps track of who owns what, with no copy and paste in between.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
every new product registration should show up in another tool the moment the customer completes it.
Watch out
a change made later to that same registration does not run this Zap again; that is the job of Customer Product Registration Updated.
3

Customer Product Registration Updated

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a customer updates a registered product”

Fires when a customer edits a product they had already registered. It is the follow-up to Customer Product Registration: the first one catches the registration, this one catches every correction made to it afterwards.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
another app holds a copy of each registration and must stay in step when the customer changes it.
Watch out
if the Zap writes back into a place that also starts it, it can loop and burn tasks quickly.
4

New Customer Registration

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when new customer registered.”

Runs when a new customer signs up in Layerise. This is the natural entry point: the customer is brand new, and the Zap can introduce them to your other tools while the signup is still fresh.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
each new Layerise customer should be created or announced in another app without anyone exporting a list.
Watch out
after a bulk import, a sudden wave of signups can be held back by Zapier's flood protection instead of running all at once.
5

Customer Updated

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when customer data is updated.”

Goes off when the data of an existing customer changes in Layerise. Unlike New Customer Registration, it concerns people you already know, and it carries their updated details to the next step.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
a customer file kept in another tool should reflect the latest details from Layerise without a manual sync.
Watch out
one customer edited several times starts the Zap several times, and each successful action downstream costs a task.
6

Customer New Diary

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a customer creates a new diary record”

Reacts when a customer creates a new diary record in Layerise. Diary entries tend to stay inside the app; this trigger lets each one travel to a tool where your team will actually see it.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
new diary records deserve a follow-up somewhere else, and nobody should have to check Layerise to spot them.
Watch out
older diary records are not picked up when you switch the Zap on; only new ones from that point.
When it breaks

When a Layerise Zap breaks

Zapier links no help article to Layerise and no limit specific to the app is documented. What breaks is what breaks on any Zap.

Four situations explain most surprises. None of them shows a red error on day one, which is why they are worth knowing before you publish. For anything deeper, our Zapier troubleshooting page is the place to start.

  • The past is never picked up

A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Customers, registrations and diary records that already existed are ignored.
  • A Zap that sets itself off

If a Zap writes into the very place its own trigger watches, it fires again and again and burns through your task count fast.
  • A big batch gets held back

When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back instead of running everything.
  • A filter that never passes

Filter rules are typed: a text rule only works on text, a number rule only on numbers. Pick the wrong one and the Zap stops at the filter every time.

FAQ

Layerise Zapier integration: common questions

01Is the Layerise Zapier integration free?
Yes. Layerise is not a premium app, so its six triggers work on the free plan, which includes 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps. The limit is the shape of each Zap: on the free plan, one trigger and one action, nothing more. That is enough to send each new Layerise customer to another app. As soon as you add a filter or a second action, the Zap becomes multi-step and needs a paid plan.
02How many tasks does a Layerise Zap use?
None for Layerise itself. Every Layerise step is a trigger, and a trigger never costs a task. What counts is the action in the other app: one task each time it succeeds, nothing when it fails. A Zap with two actions after the trigger uses two tasks per run. Keep in mind that a customer edited several times starts Customer Updated several times, and each run of the action counts. A few apps and actions take more than one task, so check the counter in your account.
03Is Layerise on Zapier real time?
Yes, for all six triggers. Each one is instant: Layerise tells Zapier the moment the customer event happens, so the Zap starts straight away whatever your plan. The polling interval grid (15 minutes on Free, 2 on Professional, 1 on Team and Enterprise) only applies to triggers that Zapier has to check on a timer, which is not the case here. A lightning bolt in the editor confirms a trigger is instant.
04What is needed to connect Layerise to Zapier?
A Layerise account and a few clicks. In Zapier, open Apps, click + Add connection, search for Layerise, click Add connection, then sign in to Layerise in the tab that opens and grant access. If the Zap must read data you do not own yourself, you also need access to it. No trigger asks for a mandatory setting, so once the connection exists, picking the event is enough to test. Testing the trigger then brings back the three most recent items of the account, so you map a real one.
05Why did older Layerise customers not come through?
Because a Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Customers, product registrations and diary records created before you published the Zap are never sent, even if the trigger matches them. Zapier offers no Layerise search to go and fetch them later. Moving that backlog to your other app is a separate job, done outside the Zap, before or after you switch it on. Only events that happen from that moment on will flow through.
06What if the Layerise operation you need is not listed?
Then Zapier cannot do it with Layerise today. The integration has six triggers and nothing else: no action to create or edit a customer, no search to look one up. Every Zap reads from Layerise and acts in another app. If the step needed has to happen inside Layerise, it stays manual. Before building around the gap, check the event list in the editor, since an app can add operations over time.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Layerise?
Pick on criteria, not on a ranking. Coverage: on Zapier, Layerise is trigger-only, so if you need to write into Layerise, check what Make lists for it, since the app exists there too. Speed: the six Zapier triggers are instant, so there is no polling delay on any plan. Cost model: Zapier bills each successful action as a task. Zap shape: on the free plan, a Layerise Zap holds one trigger and one action, and adding a filter makes it multi-step, so paid.
