Overview

What the LeadQuiz Zapier integration actually does

LeadQuiz is a tool for building advertising forms. On Zapier it offers a single trigger: when someone submits one of your forms, the next Zapier check finds the entry and runs the steps you placed behind it. LeadQuiz is where the lead comes from; the work happens in other apps.

Three results you can get from New Form Submission:

A sheet that follows your ads. Every answer to the form behind a campaign lands as a row in your spreadsheet, so every entry of the campaign sits in one sheet you already use.

One Zap per form. The trigger watches one form at a time, picked by its Form ID, which keeps each campaign's entries in its own place.

Only the leads you want. Add a filter after the trigger and only submissions whose field matches the value you set go on. That version needs a paid plan, details below.

Now what the Zapier app page does not tell you. This trigger is a polling one: on Free, an entry can wait up to 15 minutes before the Zap sees it. There is no action and no search, so a Zap can neither write into LeadQuiz nor look up an older submission. And entries made before the Zap is switched on are never picked up. If you are still choosing a tool, see our n8n vs Zapier comparison and our Zapier review.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Eight words you will meet in the editor. The rest of the page uses each one exactly as defined here.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it. Here, a new LeadQuiz form submission.
Action
What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you in another app.
Task
The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action your Zap completes successfully, and your plan counts those.
Polling vs instant trigger
A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer and keeps only what is new. An instant trigger is reported by the app as it happens.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
Connection
Your LeadQuiz account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step and every Zap that uses LeadQuiz.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes it one, and it then needs a paid plan.
Cost

What a LeadQuiz Zap costs you

LeadQuiz is not a premium app, so it works from the free plan. The trigger costs nothing, however often Zapier checks the form: only completed actions are billed.

  • Trigger checksFree, never counted
  • Each successful action1 task
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
  • Premium appNo, works on the free plan

Each action that goes through counts as one task, and a failed one is not counted. A Zap with three actions uses three times more than a Zap with one. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each limited to two steps: one trigger, one action. A filter or a second action makes it multi-step, which needs a paid plan. Because New Form Submission polls, the grid below sets how quickly a submission reaches the Zap.

Connect

Connect LeadQuiz to Zapier in three steps

  1. 01

    Open your connections

In your Zapier account, go to the Apps page and click + Add connection. Type LeadQuiz in the search box of the dialog that opens, then pick it from the list.

  2. 02

    Sign in to LeadQuiz

Click Add connection. A tab opens on LeadQuiz: sign in with the account that owns the forms you want to watch. You need an account on the app for this step.

  3. 03

    Grant access

Allow Zapier to reach the account. The connection then shows on your Apps page, and every Zap that starts with LeadQuiz reuses it, so you only go through this once.

First Zap

Your first LeadQuiz Zap

GoalEvery new submission of one LeadQuiz form becomes a row in your spreadsheet.

  1. 01

    Pick the trigger

Create a Zap, choose LeadQuiz as the app that starts it and New Form Submission as the event. Select your connection, then the form by its Form ID.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent submissions of that form, so you can pick a real one and map its answers in the next steps.

  3. 03

    Add a filter if needed

Optional. From the plus icon, add a Filter and set the field to look at, the rule and the value. The Zap becomes multi-step and needs a paid plan.

  4. 04

    Add the action

Choose your spreadsheet app and the step that adds a row, then map each column to an answer from the sample submission. Test that step and check the result.

  5. 05

    Publish

Click Publish to switch the Zap on. Zapier then checks the form at your plan's interval. Submissions made before publishing are not sent.

Triggers

The LeadQuiz trigger

1 event starts a Zap when something happens in LeadQuiz. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.

1

New Form Submission

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a form is submitted.”

Picks up each new entry on the LeadQuiz form you chose and hands its answers to the steps that follow. It is the only operation LeadQuiz offers on Zapier, so every Zap with this app starts here.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
the answers to a form behind an ad campaign should end up in your spreadsheet or your contact list without manual exports.
Watch out
Form ID is required and covers one form only, so a second form needs its own Zap.
When it breaks

When a LeadQuiz Zap breaks

Zapier links no help article and no app-specific limit to LeadQuiz. What goes wrong comes from the way Zapier itself works.

Four situations explain most surprises with a polling trigger like this one. None of them shows an error message: the Zap simply runs later or does less than you expected. If a Zap still misbehaves, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.

  • Submissions arrive late

New Form Submission polls. On Free, Zapier checks every 15 minutes, so a fresh entry can wait that long. Paid plans check more often and allow a check by hand.
  • Older submissions never arrive

A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Entries made before stay in LeadQuiz; moving them is a separate job.
  • A sudden batch gets held back

When a trigger returns a huge batch at once, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back instead of running every item.
  • The Zap outgrows the free plan

On the free plan a Zap stops at one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action turns it into a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan.

FAQ

LeadQuiz Zapier integration: common questions

01Is the LeadQuiz Zapier integration free?
Yes, from the free plan, because LeadQuiz is not a premium app. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and as many Zaps as you like, each one limited to two steps: New Form Submission and one action. Adding a filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, and that needs a paid plan. The trigger checks never cost anything, so a form with few entries uses almost nothing.
02How many tasks does a LeadQuiz Zap use?
One task per successful action, per submission. Zapier checking the form is free, however often it happens, and the trigger itself is never counted. With one action, each new entry costs one task; with three actions, it costs three. An action that fails is not counted against your plan. A few apps take more than one task when an action completes, so check the app on the receiving end as well.
03Is the LeadQuiz trigger real time?
No. New Form Submission is a polling trigger: Zapier asks LeadQuiz for new entries at a fixed interval set by your plan. That is every 15 minutes on Free, 2 minutes on Professional and 1 minute on Team and Enterprise. On paid plans you can also change how often it checks, and run a check by hand from the editor. The type is set by the app, so it cannot be switched to instant.
04What does it take to connect LeadQuiz to Zapier?
A LeadQuiz account with at least one form, and a Zapier account. On the Apps page of Zapier, click + Add connection, search LeadQuiz, click Add connection, sign in to LeadQuiz in the tab that opens and grant Zapier access. Every Zap that starts with LeadQuiz then reuses that connection. If the forms belong to someone else, the account you sign in with needs access to them. Once connected, the form list comes from that account.
05Can one LeadQuiz Zap watch all of your forms?
No. New Form Submission requires a Form ID, and that setting points at a single form. Entries on any other form never reach the Zap. If you run several campaigns, each with its own form, build one Zap per form and give each one its destination. Testing the trigger brings back the three most recent submissions of the chosen form, which is a quick way to check you picked the right one.
06What if the LeadQuiz operation you need is not there?
Then it does not exist on Zapier for now. LeadQuiz offers one trigger, New Form Submission, and nothing else: no action to create or edit a form or an entry, no search to look one up. A Zap can start from a new submission, but it cannot write anything back into LeadQuiz. Everything after the trigger happens in other apps, through their own actions, such as a spreadsheet that receives one row per entry.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for LeadQuiz?
Compare on three criteria rather than looking for a winner. First, what each platform offers for LeadQuiz: on Zapier, one polling trigger, no action and no search. Second, speed and billing: on Zapier the check interval depends on your plan, and each successful action is one task. Third, how many steps the flow needs: on Zapier, a filter or a second action calls for a paid plan. Check those three points on the other platform before choosing.
