LeadSnap Zapier integrationAutomate LeadSnap with Zapier.
The LeadSnap Zapier integration gives you 1 trigger and 1 action. The trigger is instant, so a new lead reaches your other tools the moment it is added, and the action lets those tools push leads back into LeadSnap without anyone retyping them.

What the LeadSnap Zapier integration actually does
LeadSnap is where leads get submitted and managed. Zapier connects it to the rest of your tools in both directions: when a lead is added, Zapier hears about it at once and runs the next steps, and when another tool collects a lead, Zapier can create it in LeadSnap for you.
Leads from your forms, filed without typing. Another tool collects a contact, and Create Lead adds it to LeadSnap for the right company. Nobody copies details from one screen to another, and nobody forgets a lead on a busy day.
New leads announced where your team works. New Lead fires each time a lead is added and can post it to a team channel or a shared sheet, so the person on duty sees it right away.
A single source of truth for your CRM. The same trigger can create the contact in a CRM, so sales and LeadSnap never drift apart.
What Zapier does not do here. There is one trigger and one action, nothing else: no update, no search, no delete. A Zap cannot change a lead after it exists or look one up. Leads added before the Zap was switched on are not picked up.
Adding a filter or a search to a Zap makes it multi-step, and a multi-step Zap needs a paid Zapier plan. If you are still choosing a tool, see our n8n vs Zapier comparison and our Zapier training.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words you will meet in the editor. Each one is explained here once, then used as is.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier waits for it, here a new LeadSnap lead.
- Action
- What the Zap does once started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you, such as creating a lead.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The count on your plan is a count of those.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked on a timer; an instant one is reported by the app as it happens. LeadSnap's trigger is instant.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived meets your condition, and stops it otherwise.
- Connection
- Your LeadSnap account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every LeadSnap step in every Zap you build.
What a LeadSnap Zap really costs
LeadSnap is not a premium app, so it works from the free plan. You pay in tasks, and only for actions that work.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps, two-step Zaps only
- Premium appNo, LeadSnap works on the free plan
- Trigger typeInstant, the interval grid does not apply
The trigger never costs a task. Each action that succeeds counts once, so Create Lead costs one task per lead it files, and a Zap that sends a new lead to two tools costs two. An action that fails is not counted. The free plan keeps Zaps to two steps, one trigger and one action. Adding a filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan. Since the trigger is instant, the interval grid below never slows it down.
Connect LeadSnap to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Add a connection
Go to the Apps page of your Zapier account and click + Add connection. Type LeadSnap in the dialog and pick it. You need a LeadSnap account first, with access to the leads the Zap should read or create.
- 02
Sign in to LeadSnap
Click Add connection. A tab opens on LeadSnap: sign in with the account the Zap should act as. Leads created by the Zap will be filed under that account, so pick it with care.
- 03
Grant access
Allow Zapier to access the account. The connection now shows on your Apps page, and both the trigger and the action reuse it. Link it once and every LeadSnap step you add later picks it from a list.
Your first LeadSnap Zap, step by step
GoalCopy every new LeadSnap lead into your CRM, so the sales team works from one list.
- 01
Create the Zap on New Lead
Start a new Zap, choose LeadSnap and the New Lead event, then your LeadSnap connection. The bolt in the editor marks an instant trigger: no interval to wait for.
- 02
Test with a real lead
Run the test so Zapier brings back the three most recent leads of the account. Pick a real one: its details will feed the CRM step.
- 03
Add a filter
Click the plus icon and add Filter. Set the field, the rule and the value so only the leads sales should see go through. The Zap is now multi-step and needs a paid plan.
- 04
Add the CRM action
Add your CRM and its create-contact action. Map the details carried by the LeadSnap lead into the contact's fields, then test the step once.
- 05
Check, then publish
Open the CRM and check the new contact. If every detail sits in the right place, click Publish: each matching lead now reaches sales at once, at one task per lead.
The LeadSnap trigger
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in LeadSnap, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Lead
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new lead is added.”
Starts the Zap each time a lead is added to LeadSnap, whoever or whatever added it. Whatever should follow a new lead (a message to the team, a copy in a CRM, a line in a sheet) can then happen on its own.
The LeadSnap action
LeadSnap gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Create Lead
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a Lead for a company”
Adds a lead to LeadSnap for a company, using the details that earlier steps carry. This is the way in for leads collected by other tools.
When a LeadSnap Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to LeadSnap and documents no limit of its own. What goes wrong is what goes wrong on any Zap, and one loop that this app makes easy.
Most problems come from a Zap doing exactly what it was set up to do. Check these four cases first. If a Zap still misbehaves, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.
The Zap keeps firing on its own
A Zap built on New Lead that ends with Create Lead writes where its own trigger watches. Each new lead creates another one, and the task count drains fast.Older leads never come through
A Zap only reacts to leads added after you switch it on. Leads that already existed stay where they are; moving them is a separate job.A big import goes quiet
A trigger that suddenly sends a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, can be held back by Zapier's flood protection. The trigger test comes back empty
Testing brings back the three most recent leads of the connected account. No lead yet, nothing to map: add one by hand, then test again.
