Overview

What the LegitFit Zapier integration does for you

LegitFit runs the business side of a fitness or wellness activity. The integration lets four of its events kick off work in your other tools: a booking, a new client connection, a membership bought, a package bought. LegitFit tells Zapier as each one happens, and Zapier runs the steps you placed behind it.

Three things people usually build. A calendar that mirrors your bookings: New Booking drops each session into the calendar you actually look at, with a filter to skip the ones you do not need there. A mailing list that grows on its own: New Client adds every new connection to your mailing tool, so nobody is left out of the next message. A sales log: New Membership and New Package each write a line to a spreadsheet when someone buys, which gives you a running record of what sells outside LegitFit.

What Zapier does not do here: there is no action and no search for LegitFit. A Zap cannot create a booking, add a client or look anything up inside LegitFit, so the traffic only goes out. Bookings and sales from before the Zap was switched on are never picked up either. On the bright side, all four triggers are instant, so the free plan loses nothing on speed. To weigh Zapier against other tools, see our n8n vs Zapier comparison.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Eight words carry this page. One read and the rest is easy.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time that trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event that starts a Zap. LegitFit offers four: a booking, a client, a membership and a package.
Action
The step that does the work once the Zap has started: it writes, sends or moves something in another app for you.
Task
What Zapier bills: one action completed successfully. The number shown on your plan counts those and nothing else.
Polling or instant
Polling means Zapier checks an app on a timer. Instant means the app calls Zapier itself. All four LegitFit triggers are instant.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets a condition you set, and quietly stops it otherwise.
Connection
Your LegitFit account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every LegitFit trigger in every Zap you build.
Multi-step Zap
Anything beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter turns a Zap into one, and that needs a paid plan.
Cost

What a LegitFit Zap really costs

The short version: LegitFit itself never eats into your plan, only the steps after it do. Also see our Zapier review.

  • Cost of a trigger0 tasks
  • Free plan100 tasks a month
  • Free plan Zap size2 steps
  • Premium appNo

A trigger costs no task, so every booking or sale LegitFit reports is free to receive. Each action that succeeds counts once; one that fails is not counted. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and Zaps of two steps. LegitFit is not a premium app, so it works there. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap turns multi-step, which needs a paid plan. The polling grid below does not touch you: all four triggers are instant.

Connect

Connect your LegitFit account in three steps

  1. 01

Open Apps and add a connection

In your Zapier account, go to the Apps page and click + Add connection. A dialog opens with a search box: type LegitFit and pick it from the list that appears.

  2. 02

    Sign in to LegitFit

Click Add connection. A new tab opens on LegitFit. Sign in with the account that receives the bookings and sales you want the Zap to react to, the one where those sales are recorded.

  3. 03

    Grant Zapier access

Approve the access Zapier asks for. The connection then appears under Apps, and every LegitFit trigger reuses it. Anything you do not own yourself needs read or write access on your account.

First Zap

Your first Zap: bookings into your calendar

GoalEach time a session is booked in LegitFit, add it to your calendar, but only when the booking passes a filter you define.

  1. 01

    Pick the trigger

Start a new Zap, choose LegitFit as the app that starts it and New Booking as the event, then select the connection you just made.

  2. 02

    Test it on real bookings

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items of your account, so you map the next steps on a real booking instead of a guess.

  3. 03

    Add the filter

Click the plus icon, add Filter and fill its three boxes: the field to look at, the rule, the value to compare. Use a text rule on text and a number rule on numbers.

  4. 04

    Add the calendar step

Add the action in your calendar app and map the booking details into the event title and times. Test it once and read what came back before going further.

  5. 05

    Publish

Click Publish to switch it on. With the filter this is a multi-step Zap and needs a paid plan; drop the filter to stay on the free plan.

Triggers

LegitFit triggers

4 events start a Zap when something happens in LegitFit, and 4 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.

1

New Booking

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new booking has been made.”

Starts your Zap each time someone books with you in LegitFit. The booking details travel to the steps that follow, ready to land in a calendar, a sheet or a reminder.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
when your schedule lives somewhere other than LegitFit and has to stay in step with it without double entry.
Watch out
bookings made before the Zap was published never come through.
2

New Client

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new new user has connected with you on LegitFit OR you add them as a connection.”

Fires when a new person connects with you on LegitFit, and also when you add someone as a connection yourself. Both routes end up here, which makes it the one place to catch every new client.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
to add each newcomer to a mailing list or a CRM as soon as they appear.
Watch out
clients you add by hand start the Zap too, so a welcome message will reach them as well.
3

New Membership

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Membership has been purchased.”

Goes off when a membership is purchased in LegitFit. It is the recurring side of your sales, the moment someone commits for more than a single session.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
to log each new membership in a spreadsheet, or to let your team know a new member has signed up.
Watch out
package purchases do not count here; they have their own trigger.
4

New Package

Instant trigger

In Zapier“A package has been purchased.”

Reacts to the purchase of a package in LegitFit. Kept apart from memberships, it lets you treat a one-off bundle differently from a recurring commitment in the tools that follow.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
to add the buyer to a separate list, or to record package sales on their own line in your sales log.
Watch out
to track every sale, you need both this trigger and New Membership, so two Zaps.
When it breaks

When a LegitFit Zap breaks

Four failures to know before your bookings and sales depend on this Zap.

Zapier attaches no help article to LegitFit and no limit specific to the app is documented, so the cases below come from how Zapier itself works. When one of them bites, start with the Zapier troubleshooting page.

  • Older bookings and sales are not picked up

A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Everything already in LegitFit stays there, and moving that history is a separate job.
  • A burst can be held back

If LegitFit suddenly sends a huge batch, after a bulk import for instance, Zapier's flood protection can hold the trigger back instead of running every item.
  • The filter never lets anything through

Filter rules are typed. A text rule only works on text and a number rule only on numbers; picking the wrong one is the usual reason a filter never passes.
  • The free plan stops at two steps

Zaps on the free plan hold one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, and it will not run until you move to a paid plan.

FAQ

LegitFit and Zapier: frequent questions

01Is the LegitFit Zapier integration free?
Yes, within the free plan. LegitFit is not a premium app, so all four triggers are available without paying. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and Zaps of two steps: one trigger and one action. That covers the plain case, such as adding each new client to your mailing tool. Add a filter, a second action or a search step and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. No price is quoted here, because plan grids change too often to publish.
02How many tasks does a LegitFit Zap use?
Receiving the event is free, since a trigger never uses a task. What counts is each action that runs successfully after it. A Zap that copies every booking into your calendar spends one task per booking. If you also send a confirmation from another tool, each booking costs two. A failed action is not billed. To estimate a month, add up bookings, new clients and purchases that reach your Zaps, then multiply by the number of actions behind each one.
03Does LegitFit reach Zapier in real time?
Yes. All four LegitFit triggers are instant: LegitFit tells Zapier the moment a booking, a client, a membership or a package comes in, and the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan. The polling intervals listed in plan tables, 15 minutes on Free down to 1 minute on Team and Enterprise, only apply to triggers Zapier checks on a timer, so they do not concern you here. In the editor, a Zap built on an instant trigger shows a lightning bolt.
04What does connecting LegitFit to Zapier require?
A LegitFit account and a Zapier account. From the Apps page of Zapier, you add a connection, pick LegitFit, sign in on the tab that opens and grant Zapier access. If the Zap touches anything you do not own yourself, your account needs read or write access to it. Once that is done, the connection is stored and all four LegitFit triggers, in every Zap, reuse it. No other setting is needed before you build the first Zap.
05Why does a client added by hand trigger the welcome email?
Because New Client covers both routes. It fires when someone connects with you on LegitFit, and also when you add a person as a connection yourself. A Zap built on it cannot tell the difference unless you check a field with a filter, and a filter makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan. If you only want people who joined by themselves, test the trigger on both kinds of client and compare what comes back before setting the rule.
06What if the LegitFit operation you need is not there?
Then this integration cannot do it. On Zapier, LegitFit offers four triggers, New Booking, New Client, New Membership and New Package, and no action or search. No Zap can create a booking, change a client or look up a purchase inside LegitFit. What stays open is everything after the trigger: any other app connected to Zapier can receive the event. For anything else, check the LegitFit page on Zapier again later, since this page reflects what it listed when it was read.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for LegitFit?
It comes down to criteria, not to a winner. On Zapier, LegitFit has four instant triggers that work on the free plan, which suits a business that wants each booking or sale sent to one other tool with a single connection. If each event needs several steps, the task count and the paid plan become the deciding factors. Whether Make or n8n carry LegitFit is not covered here, so check their app lists before comparing cost or the number of steps per event.
