LendingPad Zapier integrationAutomate LendingPad with Zapier.
The LendingPad Zapier integration gives you 1 trigger, 1 action and 0 searches. Loan Updated tells your Zap as soon as a loan changes, and Create New Lead / Loan opens a new file in LendingPad from another tool. Small, but it covers both directions.

What the LendingPad Zapier integration does for you
LendingPad is a loan origination system: the place where loan files are opened and followed. Zapier, an automation service, connects it to your other apps. A Zap (one automation) can start when a loan is updated in LendingPad, or end by creating a new lead or loan there. You set it up once, then it runs without you.
Leads that land in LendingPad without retyping. Create New Lead / Loan takes the borrower's first and last name from a web form or a spreadsheet and opens the file for you.
A heads-up whenever a file moves. Loan Updated can open a follow-up task in your task tool each time a loan changes, so nobody has to refresh LendingPad to know what moved.
A log of loan changes kept elsewhere. The same trigger can add a line to a spreadsheet for each update, which gives you a running history of every change outside the app.
Now the part the app page does not say. LendingPad has only these two operations on Zapier, and no search. A Zap cannot look up an existing loan, so it cannot update a file it did not just receive from the trigger. There is no event for a brand new loan either: the only trigger is the update. If you are weighing other platforms, see our n8n vs Zapier and Make vs Zapier comparisons.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Eight words cover this page. Each one keeps the meaning given here.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time that event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for that event. LendingPad has one: Loan Updated.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something. LendingPad has one: Create New Lead / Loan.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. Your plan counts tasks, never triggers.
- Polling trigger
- A trigger Zapier checks on a timer, asking the app for new items at a fixed interval that depends on your plan.
- Instant trigger
- A trigger the app reports itself, calling Zapier as soon as the event happens. Loan Updated works this way.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Connection
- Your LendingPad account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap and every step that needs it.
What a LendingPad Zap really costs
Listening to LendingPad is free. Creating a lead or loan there costs a task.
- Tasks on the free plan100 per month
- Steps allowed on the free plan2 (one trigger, one action)
- Premium appNo, works on the free plan
- Loan UpdatedInstant
The trigger never uses a task, and an action that fails is not billed. Each action that succeeds counts on its own, so a Zap with three actions uses three tasks per run. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but only two steps: one trigger, one action. A filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan. LendingPad is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. Loan Updated is instant, so the interval grid below never slows it; the grid only matters when another app's polling trigger feeds Create New Lead / Loan.
Connect LendingPad to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open your connections
In your Zapier account, go to the Apps page and click + Add connection. You need a LendingPad account first, with access to the loans the Zap will read or create.
- 02
Pick LendingPad
Type LendingPad in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens on the LendingPad side, ready for the sign-in.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Log in to LendingPad in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection is saved once, and both the trigger and the action reuse it afterwards.
Your first Zap: a follow-up task when a loan changes
GoalCreate a task in your task tool each time a loan is updated in LendingPad, only for the updates that match a condition you set.
- 01
Set the trigger
Create a Zap, choose LendingPad as the app and Loan Updated as the event, then select your connection. Nothing else to set on this trigger.
- 02
Test on a real loan
Run the trigger test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items of the connected account, so you map the task on a real loan rather than a guess.
- 03
Add the filter
Click the plus icon and add Filter. Fill in the field to look at, the rule and the value. A text rule works on text, a number rule on numbers.
- 04
Create the task
Add your task tool as the action and build the task title from the loan fields. This step is the one that costs a task each time an update gets through the filter.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test each step and read what came back, then click Publish. The filter makes this a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan to stay on.
The LendingPad trigger
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in LendingPad, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
Loan Updated
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when loan was updated.”
Starts your Zap each time a loan is updated in LendingPad, and hands the details of that loan to the next step of the Zap.
The LendingPad action
LendingPad gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Create New Lead / Loan
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a new lead/loan in LendingPad.”
Opens a new lead or loan in LendingPad from data that arrives in another app, so nobody has to copy the borrower's details by hand.
When a LendingPad Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to LendingPad, so the known weak spots are the general limits and the two required borrower fields.
Most problems show up with the first real loans. If none of these cases explains what you see, open our Zapier troubleshooting guide.
Old updates and leads are not replayed
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Loans updated or requests received before that are not picked up; moving that history is a separate job.The Zap may set itself off
A Zap that writes where its own trigger watches can restart itself. Whether a loan created by Zapier counts as an update is not documented, so test before chaining both. The lead is missing a name
Create New Lead / Loan requires both the borrower's first name and last name. An empty value in either field stops the action, and no lead is created.A big batch gets held back
After a bulk import or a migration, a trigger that suddenly sends a huge batch can be held back by Zapier's flood protection instead of running every item.
