What the Lengow Zapier integration does for you
Lengow helps brands and distributors sell online and gathers the orders that come in from marketplaces. Zapier, an automation service, can pass those orders on to your other apps. A Zap (one automation) waits for a new or updated order in Lengow, then hands it to another tool. You set it up once and it keeps going.
A single sales sheet for every marketplace. New Order From Marketplace adds a row to a spreadsheet for each order Lengow receives, wherever it was placed, so you stop gathering sales from several places by hand.
A status log that follows each order. Updated Order passes order updates to another tool, so you and your team can see what moved without opening Lengow and comparing screens.
A heads-up for whoever handles the order. Either trigger can post a message or open a task in another app, so the next person in line knows an order is waiting for them.
Now the part the app page leaves out. On Zapier, Lengow has no action and no search: a Zap cannot change an order or look anything up in Lengow. And both triggers are polling ones, so on the free plan an order can wait up to 15 minutes before the Zap notices it. Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Eight words cover this page. Each one keeps the meaning given here.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time that event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for that event and nothing else.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you in another app.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. Your plan counts tasks, never triggers.
- Polling trigger
- A trigger Zapier checks on a timer, asking the app for new items at a fixed interval set by your plan. Both Lengow triggers work this way.
- Instant trigger
- A trigger the app reports itself, calling Zapier as soon as the event happens. Lengow has none of these on Zapier.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Connection
- Your Lengow account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap and every step that needs it.
What a Lengow Zap really costs
Checking Lengow for new orders is free, however often Zapier looks. Only what your Zap does next counts.
- Tasks on the free plan100 per month
- Steps allowed on the free plan2 (one trigger, one action)
- Premium appNo, works on the free plan
- Polling triggers2 out of 2
The trigger never uses a task, and an action that fails is not billed. Each action that succeeds counts on its own: a Zap with three actions uses three tasks per order. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, limited to two steps: one trigger, one action. A filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan. Lengow is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. Both triggers are polling ones, so the grid below sets how quickly an order is noticed; paid plans can change the interval or run a check by hand from the editor.
Connect Lengow to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open your connections
In your Zapier account, go to the Apps page and click + Add connection. You need a Lengow account first, with access to the orders you want the Zap to watch.
- 02
Pick Lengow
Type Lengow in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens on the Lengow side, ready for you to sign in.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Log in to Lengow in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection is saved once, and both Lengow triggers reuse it in every Zap you build.
Your first Zap: every marketplace order in one spreadsheet
GoalAdd a spreadsheet row for each new marketplace order Lengow receives, keeping only the orders that match a condition you set.
- 01
Set the trigger
Create a Zap, choose Lengow as the app and New Order From Marketplace as the event, then select your connection. No required field to fill in.
- 02
Test on real orders
Run the trigger test. Zapier brings back the three most recent orders of the connected account, so the row is mapped on a real one.
- 03
Add the filter
Click the plus icon and add Filter. Fill in the field to look at, the rule and the value. A text rule works on text, a number rule on numbers.
- 04
Map the row
Add your spreadsheet as the action and map the order fields into its columns. This step costs a task each time an order gets through the filter.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test each step and read what came back, then click Publish. The filter makes this a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.
The 2 Lengow triggers
2 events start a Zap when something happens in Lengow. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.
New Order From Marketplace
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggered when you receive a new order coming from marketplaces”
Starts your Zap when Lengow receives a new order from one of your marketplaces, with the order details ready for the next step.
Updated Order
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when an order is updated”
Fires when an order already in Lengow is updated, so the copy you keep elsewhere can follow the change.
When a Lengow Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to Lengow, so the known weak spots are the general limits and the timing of its two polling triggers.
Most surprises show up with the first real orders. If none of these cases explains what you see, open our Zapier troubleshooting guide.
Past orders never arrive
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Orders already in Lengow are not picked up; moving that history is a separate job.The order shows up late
Both triggers are polling ones. On the free plan Zapier checks every 15 minutes, so an order can sit that long before the Zap runs.A big batch gets held back
After a bulk import or a migration, a trigger that suddenly returns a huge batch can be held back by Zapier's flood protection instead of running every item. The filter is on, the plan is free
A filter or a second action turns the Zap into a multi-step one. The free plan only runs two-step Zaps, so this Zap needs a paid plan.
