Levity Zapier integrationAutomate Levity with Zapier.
The Levity Zapier integration gives you 0 triggers, 4 actions and 0 searches. Levity never starts a Zap: another app hands it some text, and Levity sorts, extracts, writes or summarizes it. It runs on the free plan. Below: each action, its cost and its traps.

What the Levity Zapier integration actually does
Levity lets you build your own AI models, which it calls AI Blocks, to classify, summarize, generate or extract text. Through Zapier, those models become steps in a chain: another app brings the text, Levity processes it with the AI Block you pick, and the result moves on to the next tool.
Three results worth building first. Incoming messages sorted on arrival: Text Classification reads each email or form answer and returns the label your AI Block was trained on, so the next step can route it. Key details pulled out of free text: Text Extraction picks the pieces you care about out of a message and hands them over as separate values. Long text turned short: Text Summarization condenses a long reply into a few lines your team can scan, while Text Generation drafts new text from your instructions.
What Zapier does not do here matters as much. Levity has no trigger, so nothing that happens in Levity can start a Zap; the text always comes from another app. There is no search step either. And three of the four actions need an AI Block already set up in your Levity account: Zapier will not build one for you.

Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words come back all along this page. Here they are, in plain English.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event that starts the Zap. Levity has none, so the trigger always comes from another app, like your inbox.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that does the work for you, like Levity labeling a message.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action that completes successfully. The allowance on your plan is a count of tasks.
- Polling vs instant
- Polling: Zapier checks an app on a timer. Instant: the app calls Zapier itself. Here it depends on the trigger app.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when the data meets a condition you set, like a given Levity label.
- Connection
- Your Levity account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step of every Zap that calls Levity.
What it really costs you
Levity is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. The trigger of the other app never costs a task, and neither do Zapier's checks.
- Free plan100 tasks per month, unlimited Zaps
- Zap size on free2 steps: one trigger, one action
- Premium appNo, Levity works on free
Only an action that succeeds is billed: each classification, extraction, generation or summary that goes through is one task, and one that fails is not counted. The catch with Levity is that the result usually has to go somewhere. Sending it on is a second action, and in a Zap with several actions every success counts on its own. The free plan stops at two steps, one trigger and one action, so a Zap that classifies and then routes needs a paid plan. If the trigger app polls, its interval follows the grid below.
Connect Levity to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. In the dialog that opens, type Levity in the search box and pick it from the results list.
- 02
Sign in to Levity
Click Add connection. A tab opens on Levity: sign in with the account that holds the AI Blocks your Zaps will use. You need a Levity account before you start.
- 03
Grant access
Allow Zapier to access the account. The connection is saved once, then every Levity step of every Zap reuses it. Anything you do not own yourself needs read or write rights on your side first.
Your first Zap: sort incoming emails with Levity
GoalEach new email gets a label from your Levity AI Block, and only the ones with the label you chose go on to your spreadsheet.
- 01
Create the Zap
Start a new Zap, pick your email tool as the app that starts the Zap, and choose its new email event. Connect the mailbox if it is not linked yet.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test so Zapier brings back recent emails. Pick one with a real body of text: Levity will classify it in the next step.
- 03
Add Text Classification
Pick Levity, then Text Classification. Select your AI Block and map the email body into Input text for classification. Both are required.
- 04
Add a filter on a paid plan
With Filter, set a field, a rule and a value on the label Levity returned. This makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.
- 05
Add the spreadsheet row
Pick your spreadsheet and map the sender, the subject and the Levity label onto its columns. Then test each step and read what came back.
- 06
Publish
Click Publish. Every new email is now classified; emails that were already in the inbox before publishing are not picked up.
The 4 Levity actions
Levity gives you 4 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Text Classification
ActionIn Zapier“Perform Text Classification”
Reads a text and returns the category your AI Block assigns to it, so later steps can act on that label.
Text Extraction
ActionIn Zapier“Perform Text Extraction”
Pulls specific pieces of information out of free text and returns them as values the next steps can map.
Text Generation
ActionIn Zapier“Generate data using AI”
Writes new text with AI, following the instruction you give it and the AI Block you choose.
Text Summarization
ActionIn Zapier“Summarize your text using AI”
Condenses a long piece of text into a short version your team can read at a glance.
When a Levity Zap breaks
Zapier links no help article to Levity and lists no app-specific limit. What trips people up are Zapier's general rules, applied to the app that starts the Zap.
Four of them hit this integration directly. When a Zap misbehaves, check these before blaming the connection, and keep the Zapier troubleshooting page at hand.
Old text is never processed
A Zap reacts only to what happens after you publish it. Emails or rows that existed before never reach Levity; processing that backlog is a separate job.Writing back can loop
If the Zap writes Levity's result into the very place its trigger watches, such as a new row in the same sheet, it sets itself off again and burns tasks fast.A bulk import gets held back
When the trigger app suddenly returns a huge batch, after an import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it instead of sending all of it to Levity. The same item runs once
On a polling trigger, Zapier remembers what it has already seen, so the same email or row does not start the Zap twice and is not classified twice.
