LinkMyAgency Zapier integrationAutomate LinkMyAgency with Zapier.

The LinkMyAgency Zapier integration gives you 3 triggers, 2 actions and 2 searches. The three triggers are instant and follow your access links from creation to completion, while the actions create a personalised link and send it to a recipient.

Overview

What the LinkMyAgency Zapier integration does for your agency

LinkMyAgency helps an agency get access to its customers' social platform accounts through a personalised link. Plugged into Zapier, it can start a Zap (the automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions) as a link is created, progresses or is completed, and it can create and send links on orders from other tools.

Three outcomes come up most. The team told the moment a customer finishes: Link Completed fires when a link is fully completed, and a message lands in your team chat so nobody has to check. A nudge at the right point: Link Completion Status Change fires once a link reaches the completion percentage you set, which is a good cue to follow up with a customer who stopped halfway. A link log outside the app: New Link Created adds each new link to a spreadsheet so account managers see what was sent.

Now the limits. The actions are only two: Create Link and Send Link. There is no visible step to edit, cancel or delete a link, and the searches, Find Link and Find Preset, only look things up in your account. Send Link also asks for an Id, its one required field, and the Zap has to fill it, or the send fails.

LinkMyAgency also has a LinkMyAgency Make integration page on this site. To compare platforms, see Make vs Zapier.

Vocabulary

Zapier words in one minute

Seven terms come back on this page. Here they are once, in plain English.

Zap
Your automation on Zapier: one trigger first, then one or more actions that run each time that trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier waits for it and reacts each time.
Action
What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you in an app.
Task
The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. Your plan counts these and nothing else.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself, the moment the event happens.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap continue only when what arrived meets your condition, and quietly stops it otherwise.
Search step
A step that looks up something already stored in an app, so the steps after it can reuse what it found.
Cost

What a LinkMyAgency Zap really costs

LinkMyAgency is not a premium app, so it works from the free plan. The cost comes from the actions that run, not from the triggers.

  • Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps
  • Premium appNo, LinkMyAgency works on the free plan
  • Free plan Zap size2 steps: one trigger, one action
  • LinkMyAgency triggers3 instant, 0 polling

The trigger never costs a task. Each action that succeeds counts once, so a three-action Zap uses three times more than a one-action Zap; a failed action is not counted. The free plan stops at two steps, one trigger and one action. A filter, a search such as Find Link, or a second action makes it a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan. That matters here: Create Link followed by Send Link is already a three-step Zap. The polling grid below does not apply to this app: its three triggers are instant.

Connect

Connect LinkMyAgency to Zapier in 3 steps

  1. 01

    Open your connections

Go to the Apps page of your Zapier account and click + Add connection. A connection is your LinkMyAgency account linked once, then reused by every Zap step that needs it.

  2. 02

    Pick LinkMyAgency

Type LinkMyAgency in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. The LinkMyAgency account has to exist before this step, with the links you plan to follow.

  3. 03

    Sign in and allow access

A tab opens on LinkMyAgency. Sign in and grant Zapier access to the account. If a colleague owns the links or presets you want to use, your login needs access to them.

First Zap

Your first Zap: tell the team when access is ready

GoalWhen a customer fully completes a LinkMyAgency link, post a message in the team chat so the account manager knows without checking.

  1. 01

Create the Zap and set the trigger

Start a new Zap, choose LinkMyAgency as the app and Link Completed as the event, then pick the connection you added earlier.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items from your account, so you map fields from a real completed link rather than from blanks.

  3. 03

    Add the team chat action

Pick your team chat app and its message action, then place the link details that matter in the text, so the reader knows which customer is ready.

  4. 04

    Test the action

Run the step once and read the message it posted. If a field comes out empty, fix the mapping now rather than after publishing.

  5. 05

    Publish

Click Publish. Two steps in total, so the free plan is enough, and the lightning bolt in the editor confirms the trigger is instant.

Triggers

LinkMyAgency triggers on Zapier

3 events start a Zap when something happens in LinkMyAgency, and 3 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.

Actions

LinkMyAgency actions on Zapier

LinkMyAgency gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

Searches

LinkMyAgency searches on Zapier

2 search steps look for data that already exists in LinkMyAgency, so a later step can use it.

A search step fetches something that already exists so later steps can use it. In the editor, searches sit at the bottom of the Action event list, under SEARCH. Three settings decide what happens when the result is not one clean match.

2

Find Preset

Search

In Zapier“Find preset in account.”

Fetches a preset saved in your LinkMyAgency account so later steps can reuse it. Nothing is created or changed; the step only reads.

When to use it
a following step needs a value from one of your presets that no earlier step carried.
Watch out
if the preset is missing, the Zap stops here unless you change the first setting above.

The three settings every search exposes

  1. Successful if no search results are found?
Left on its default, a search that finds nothing stops the Zap there and skips the steps that depended on it. Switched on, the Zap carries on empty-handed.
  2. Create X if it doesn't exist yet?
Ticking it turns a search into a find-or-create. LinkMyAgency offers no such variant on its searches, so this box will not appear here.
  3. If multiple search results are found?
Three ways out when several items match: keep the first one, which is the default, stop the Zap, or pass all of them on.
When it breaks

When a LinkMyAgency Zap breaks

Zapier links no help article to LinkMyAgency and documents no limit specific to the app. What breaks is general Zapier behaviour, plus two required fields.

These four cases cover most failures. If a Zap still refuses to run, the Zapier troubleshooting page is the next stop.

  • Send Link has no Id to use

Send Link needs an Id. If the step before it passes an empty value, the action fails, nothing is sent, and the customer never gets the link.
  • A Zap that keeps setting itself off

A Zap that writes where its own trigger watches restarts again and again. New Link Created followed by Create Link is exactly that loop, and tasks drain fast.
  • Older links are not picked up

A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Links created or completed before that stay out of reach; moving that backlog is a separate job.
  • A sudden flood gets held back

When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration for instance, Zapier's flood protection can hold the Zap back.

FAQ

LinkMyAgency Zapier integration: common questions

01Is the LinkMyAgency Zapier integration free?
Yes. LinkMyAgency is not a premium app, so it runs on the free Zapier plan, which gives you 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps. The limit is size: a free Zap has two steps, one trigger and one action. Add a filter, a search or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. A Zap that tells the team when a link is completed stays free; Create Link followed by Send Link does not.
02How many tasks does a LinkMyAgency Zap use?
The trigger uses none. Zapier bills one task for each action that completes successfully, so a one-action Zap uses one task per run and a three-action Zap uses three. Failed actions are not counted. Waiting for a link to be created or completed costs nothing, because the trigger is free whatever happens. In practice, one task per completed link is the usual cost of a simple notification Zap, and two when Create Link and Send Link run together.
03Do LinkMyAgency triggers run in real time?
Yes. All three LinkMyAgency triggers are instant: the app reports the event to Zapier itself, as soon as a link is created, reaches your percentage or is completed. The polling interval of a plan, 15 minutes on the free plan, does not apply to them, and a paid plan will not make them faster. The type comes from the app and cannot be changed in the editor. A Zap built on one shows a lightning bolt.
04What does it take to connect LinkMyAgency to Zapier?
A LinkMyAgency account and a Zapier account. From the Apps page in Zapier you click + Add connection, search for LinkMyAgency, click Add connection, sign in on the tab that opens and grant access. If a colleague owns the links or presets you plan to use, your login needs access to them. The connection is made once, and every LinkMyAgency step in any Zap then picks it from a list. No extra setting is needed.
05Why does Send Link fail in a LinkMyAgency Zap?
Most often because its Id field is empty. Send Link requires an Id, and the action cannot go through without one. Before publishing, check what you mapped into that field and run the step once with a real item, then read what came back. If the value is blank in the test, it will be blank in production too. A failed send costs no task, but the customer receives nothing either, and the Zap will not retry it on its own.
06What if the LinkMyAgency step that's needed isn't listed?
Then Zapier cannot do it with LinkMyAgency today. The integration offers Create Link and Send Link, plus the Find Link and Find Preset searches, and LinkMyAgency sets that list, not Zapier. There is no visible step to edit, cancel or delete a link. A workaround is to handle those changes in the app itself and let the triggers report what happened, so your other tools stay in step. That keeps one source of truth.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for LinkMyAgency?
It comes down to criteria, not a winner. On Zapier, LinkMyAgency has three instant triggers, two actions and two searches, and two-step Zaps run on the free plan. LinkMyAgency also exists on Make, so compare how each platform counts runs and how much a create-then-send flow costs once it needs three steps. Also weigh how much setup you want to own, and how many branches your process really needs. Test both before you commit.
