Lucid Meetings Zapier integrationAutomate Lucid Meetings with Zapier.
The Lucid Meetings Zapier integration gives you 4 triggers, 2 actions and 0 searches. All four triggers are instant: a meeting scheduled, started or ended, or a new action item. The two actions create a meeting or an action item in a room.

What the Lucid Meetings Zapier integration is good for
Lucid Meetings is where you plan, run and improve your business meetings, organized in rooms inside an organization. On Zapier it can both report and receive: four instant triggers follow a meeting's life and its action items, and two actions create meetings or action items for you.
Three outcomes cover most needs. Action items that leave the meeting: New Action Item starts the Zap and the next step creates a task in your task manager, so a decision taken in the room does not wait for someone to copy it. A wrap-up once the session closes: New Meeting Ended can post a message to your team channel or add a row to a meeting log. Meetings booked from elsewhere: a new request in a form or a scheduling tool can feed Create Meeting, which sets up the meeting in the right room with its agenda template.
Know the limits before you build. There are no searches, so a Zap cannot look up an existing meeting or action item. Every trigger and both actions are tied to one organization and one room: a Zap watches or writes into that room only. And nothing that happened before the Zap went live is replayed.

Zapier words in one minute
Seven terms come back on every Zapier page. Here they are in plain words, once.
- Zap
- The automation you build: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it. Lucid Meetings offers four.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you, in Lucid Meetings or elsewhere.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One action that completes successfully is one task; your plan counts those, nothing else.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked on a timer by Zapier. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself the moment the event happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets your condition, and stops it quietly otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What a Lucid Meetings Zap costs in tasks
No Lucid Meetings trigger ever costs a task, and Zapier waiting for the next meeting costs nothing. Only actions that succeed count, Create Meeting and Create Action Item included. Lucid Meetings is not a premium app.
- Premium appNo, works on the free plan
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
- Trigger cost0 tasks
- Trigger typeAll 4 instant
The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and Zaps of two steps: one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan. A Zap that turns each action item into a task and a chat message uses two tasks per item; a failed action is not counted. The grid below is for polling triggers: all four Lucid Meetings triggers are instant, so it does not apply to them.
Connect Lucid Meetings to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open your connections
In Zapier, go to the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. A connection is your Lucid Meetings account linked once, then reused by every Zap that touches it.
- 02
Pick Lucid Meetings
Type Lucid Meetings in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. One connection serves all four triggers and both actions alike.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
A tab opens on Lucid Meetings. Sign in and grant Zapier access. If the Zap will touch rooms you do not own, make sure your account has read or write access on them.
Your first Zap: decisions from the room become tasks
GoalEach new action item in one Lucid Meetings room that passes your condition becomes a task in your task manager.
- 01
Create the Zap
Start a new Zap in the Zapier editor. Pick Lucid Meetings as the app that starts it, New Action Item as the event, then select the connection you just added.
- 02
Choose the room and test
Pick the organization and the room to watch, then run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent action items; choose a real one for mapping.
- 03
Add the filter
Click the plus icon and add Filter. Set the field to look at, the rule and the value. Use a text rule on text fields and a number rule on numbers.
- 04
Add the task action
Add your task manager as the action app, pick the event that creates a task, then map the action item's text into the task title or description.
- 05
Test and publish
Test the action and open the task it created. If it reads right, click Publish. With the filter, this is a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.
The Lucid Meetings triggers
4 events start a Zap when something happens in Lucid Meetings, and 4 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Action Item
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new action item is created.”
Fires each time someone records a new action item in the room you picked, and hands its details to the next steps. It is the most useful trigger here, because action items are what tend to get lost once a meeting is over.
New Meeting Scheduled
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new meeting is scheduled on a specific date and time.”
Starts the Zap as soon as a meeting is put on the calendar of the chosen room for a specific date and time. It reacts to the booking, not to the meeting itself, which leaves room for preparation steps.
New Meeting Ended
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when an online meeting session ends.”
Goes off when an online meeting session in the chosen room closes. That is the natural moment for a wrap-up: the session is over and the people who attended have moved on to something else.
New Meeting Started
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new online meeting session starts.”
Kicks in when an online meeting session opens in the room you selected. Useful when the start itself is the signal you want to pass on to another tool or to the people involved.
The Lucid Meetings actions
Lucid Meetings gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Create Action Item
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a new action item in a room.”
Adds an action item to a room, with its full text, so follow-ups raised outside the meeting still end up where the team reviews them.
Create Meeting
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a new meeting in a room.”
Sets up a new meeting in a room you choose, with an agenda template, a name and a start date and time, all filled from earlier steps.
When a Lucid Meetings Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to Lucid Meetings and lists no limit of its own for it. What breaks here is what breaks on any Zap, sharpened by the room setting.
Four cases come up, each with a plain fix. For anything else, start with Zapier troubleshooting.
The Zap keeps setting itself off
New Action Item plus Create Action Item on the same room, or New Meeting Scheduled plus Create Meeting, makes a Zap that restarts itself and drains your tasks. The room is not in the list
Triggers and actions need an organization and a room. If the connected account cannot see a room, it never appears, and the Zap cannot be set.Past meetings never arrive
A Zap reacts only to what happens after it is switched on. Meetings and action items from before stay put; moving that history is a separate job.A big batch gets held back
If a bulk import suddenly creates a large pile of meetings or items at once, Zapier's flood protection can hold the batch back instead of running all of it.
