Lyzr Zapier integrationAutomate Lyzr with Zapier.

The Lyzr Zapier integration has 1 action, no trigger and no search. It does one thing: create a new AI agent in Lyzr when something happens in another app. The Zap therefore always starts somewhere else, and Lyzr comes second.

Overview

What the Lyzr Zapier integration actually does

It lets another app create AI agents in Lyzr for you. Lyzr is a framework for building generative AI applications around agents, and the Zapier side of it is narrow on purpose: one action, Create Agent, which needs an agent name and an AI provider. Whatever starts the Zap has to come from another tool.

An agent per request. A form submission asking for a new assistant can become a Lyzr agent, named after what the form sent, without anyone opening Lyzr to click through the setup.

Agents from a list. A spreadsheet where your team plans the agents it wants can feed Create Agent one row at a time, so the sheet stays the place where those decisions get written down.

Consistent naming. Because the agent name is mapped from the source, every agent created by the Zap follows the same pattern, which makes them easier to find later in Lyzr.

What the integration does not do: it has no trigger, so Lyzr cannot start a Zap or tell another app that something happened on its side. It has no search, no update and no delete. A Zap cannot rename an agent, change its provider or remove it, and it does not run or talk to the agent once it exists. All of that stays inside Lyzr. Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Seven words come back on this page. Here they are in plain English.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time that trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Lyzr has none, so the trigger always comes from another app in your setup.
Action
What the Zap does after it starts: the step that creates, sends or moves something for you. Create Agent is one.
Task
The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action your Zap completes successfully; the count on your plan is a count of those.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by its app the moment the event happens.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when the data that arrived meets your condition, and stops it otherwise.
Connection
Your Lyzr account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap step that creates an agent.
Cost

What a Lyzr Zap really costs

Lyzr is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. You pay in tasks, one per agent created.

  • Trigger (other app)free, never counted
  • Each agent created1 task
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
  • Premium appno, works on the free plan

The trigger of the other app costs nothing. Each Create Agent that succeeds counts as one task, and one that fails is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and two-step Zaps only: one trigger, one action, which is exactly the shape of a basic Lyzr Zap. A filter or a second action makes it multi-step and needs a paid plan. Lyzr has no trigger of its own: the interval grid below applies to the trigger you pick in the other app, if that one is a polling trigger.

Connect

Connect Lyzr to Zapier in 3 steps

  1. 01

    Open your connections

In Zapier, go to the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. In the dialog that opens, type Lyzr in the search box and select it from the results.

  2. 02

    Sign in to Lyzr

Click Add connection. A tab opens on Lyzr: sign in with the account that should own the new agents. You need a Lyzr account before any of this can work.

  3. 03

    Grant access

Approve the access Zapier asks for. The connection then shows on the Apps page and every Zap that creates agents reuses it. Anything you do not own needs read or write access on that account.

First Zap

Your first Zap: a form entry that becomes a Lyzr agent

GoalEach new form submission creates a Lyzr agent, but only when the submission passes the filter you set.

  1. 01

    Pick the trigger

Create a Zap and choose your form tool with its new-submission event. Lyzr cannot start a Zap, so the trigger always comes from another app.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent submissions of that account; pick a real one so the rest of the mapping uses actual data.

  3. 03

    Add the filter

From the plus icon add Filter and fill its three boxes: the field to look at, the rule and the value. A text rule only works on text, so match the rule to the field.

  4. 04

    Add Create Agent

Add Lyzr with Create Agent. Map Agent Name from a field of the submission and choose the Provider from the list. Test the step, then check that the agent shows up in Lyzr.

  5. 05

    Publish

Click Publish to switch the Zap on. The filter makes it a multi-step Zap, so a paid plan is required; on the free plan, keep only the trigger and the action.

Actions

Lyzr actions

Lyzr gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Create Agent

Action

In Zapier“Creates a new AI agent in Lyzr.”

Sets up a new AI agent in your Lyzr account from data another app sent. It asks for two things: a name for the agent and the AI provider it should use, chosen from a list.

When to use it
requests for new agents arrive through a form or a shared sheet, and you want each one to exist in Lyzr without manual setup.
Watch out
Lyzr has no search on Zapier to check for an existing agent first, so make sure the source sends each request once.
When it breaks

When a Lyzr Zap breaks

Zapier publishes no rate limit for Lyzr. Its only linked help article is How to get started with Lyzr on Zapier, a starting guide.

These are the three cases to plan for before you publish. If a Zap already misbehaves, the Zapier troubleshooting guide helps you find the cause.

  • A required field arrives empty

Create Agent needs an agent name and a provider. If the trigger sends an empty name, the step fails; a failed action is not billed, but no agent is created.
  • Old requests are not picked up

A Zap reacts only to what happens after it is switched on. Requests already sitting in your form or sheet never become agents; handling them is a separate job.
  • A bulk import goes quiet

If the trigger app suddenly sends a huge batch, after an import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those runs back.

FAQ

Lyzr Zapier integration: FAQ

01Is the Lyzr Zapier integration free?
Yes, for a two-step Zap. Lyzr is not a premium app, so the free plan can use it, with 100 tasks a month and Zaps made of one trigger and one action. A basic Lyzr Zap fits exactly: a trigger in another app, then Create Agent. Add a filter or a second action and it becomes a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan. For one agent per form entry, the free plan is enough.
02How many Zapier tasks does a Lyzr Zap use?
One task per agent created successfully. The trigger in the other app costs nothing, and a Create Agent step that fails, for example because the name came through empty, is not counted. If your Zap creates an agent and then also sends a confirmation through another action, each run uses two tasks. Watching the source app for new rows or submissions never costs a task on its own, however often Zapier checks it.
03Is Lyzr on Zapier real time?
Lyzr has no trigger, so the speed depends entirely on the app that starts the Zap. If that app offers an instant trigger, it reports the event straight away and the agent is created at once, whatever the plan. If it uses a polling trigger, Zapier checks it at the interval of your plan: 15 minutes on Free, 2 on Professional, one on Team and Enterprise. Check how the trigger you picked works before promising anyone a speed.
04What does it take to connect Lyzr to Zapier?
A Lyzr account, plus read or write access to anything you do not own and want the Zap to touch. In Zapier you open the Apps page, click + Add connection, search for Lyzr, sign in in the tab that opens and grant access. The connection is then reused by every Zap that creates agents. Agents are created under the account you connected, so use the one that should own them.
05Why does the Create Agent step fail?
Most often because one of its two required fields is missing. Create Agent needs an agent name and a provider. The provider is picked from a list in the editor, so it is easy to skip when you focus on mapping the name. The name, on the other hand, comes from the trigger, and if that field is empty on some records the step fails on those. Test with a real record and use a source field that is always filled.
06What if the Lyzr operation needed is not on Zapier?
Then this integration cannot do it. The visible menu is a single action, Create Agent, with no trigger and no search. Updating an agent, deleting it, running it or reacting to something that happens in Lyzr are not available in the editor. The options are to keep those steps inside Lyzr, to rework the flow around agent creation, or to check whether another automation platform connects to Lyzr in a broader way before you build anything.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Lyzr?
It depends on the criterion. On Zapier, Lyzr offers one action that works on the free plan inside a two-step Zap, which is enough if all you want is agents created from forms or sheets. If you need Lyzr to start flows, or to manage agents after creation, the narrow menu becomes the deciding factor. Compare what each platform exposes for Lyzr, how it bills, and who will maintain the flow, then decide on those grounds.
