What the Mamo Business Zapier integration does for you
Mamo Business is a payments platform for small and medium businesses: payment links, subscriptions, payouts. Connected to Zapier, it tells your other tools when money moves or fails to move, and it can create a payment link or send a payout on their behalf, without anyone copying amounts between screens.
Three results people build first, each tied to a real operation.
A payment ledger that writes itself. New Successful Payment starts a Zap (an automation on Zapier: one starting event, then the steps that follow) each time a payment is captured, and the next step adds a row to your spreadsheet. Bookkeeping stops depending on someone exporting a list.
An alert when money does not arrive. New Failed Payment and New Failed Subscription fire on the failures. Point them at your team chat and someone on the team hears about each failure as soon as it is recorded.
A payment link nobody had to make. Create Payment Link builds a link from an earlier step, with a title, an amount and a currency, so a request made in another tool turns into something the customer can pay.
Since all seven triggers are instant, none of this waits for a scheduled check: the free plan reacts as fast as the paid ones.
What Zapier does not do for Mamo Business. There is no search, so a Zap cannot look up an existing payment, link or payout. No action edits, cancels or refunds anything. The two actions only create. For a wider view of the platforms, read our n8n vs Zapier and Make vs Zapier comparisons.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Eight words the editor uses. Each is explained once here, then used as is on the rest of the page.
- Zap
- The automation you build: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap, such as a captured payment in Mamo Business. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it.
- Action
- What the Zap does once started: the step that writes, sends or moves something, like Create Payout.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action that completes successfully. The number on your plan is a count of those.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app the moment it happens. All Mamo Business triggers are instant.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets your condition, and stops it otherwise.
- Connection
- Your Mamo Business account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step that talks to Mamo Business.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action, a filter or a search makes one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What Mamo Business costs on Zapier
Mamo Business is not a premium app on Zapier: it works on the free plan. What you pay for is tasks, and only actions spend them.
- Premium appNo, works on the free plan
- Triggers7, all instant, never billed
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
- Failed actionNot counted
The seven triggers never cost a task, however many payments they report. Each action that succeeds counts once: a payout sent, a link created, a row added in your spreadsheet. An action that fails is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, limited to two steps: one trigger, one action. Add a filter (to keep only large payments, for example) or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which requires a paid plan. The interval grid below is how often Zapier checks polling triggers on each plan; it does not apply to Mamo Business, whose triggers are all instant.
Connect your Mamo Business account
- 01
Open your connections
In Zapier, open the Apps page and click + Add connection. You need an existing Mamo Business account, plus access to anything in it you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.
- 02
Find Mamo Business
Search for Mamo Business in the dialog, pick it, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Mamo Business side, where you sign in with the account that holds your payments.
- 03
Grant access
Sign in and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection then shows in your list, and every trigger or action on Mamo Business reuses it without asking you again.
Your first Zap: log every captured payment
GoalEach payment Mamo Business captures adds a row to your spreadsheet, so the ledger stays current without exports.
- 01
Create the Zap
Start a new Zap and choose Mamo Business as the app that starts it, with New Successful Payment as the event. Pick your Mamo Business connection.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the trigger test. Zapier brings back the three most recent payments of the connected account, so you build the next step on a real one rather than on guessed values.
- 03
Add the spreadsheet step
Add an action, pick your spreadsheet tool and its create-row event, then map the payment fields you want into the right columns.
- 04
Test the action
Run the action once and read what came back. A successful test writes a real row in your spreadsheet, so open it and check the values before going further.
- 05
Publish
Click Publish. From then on, each captured payment fires the Zap straight away and costs one task when the row is written.
Mamo Business triggers
7 events start a Zap when something happens in Mamo Business, and 7 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Failed Payout
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new payout has failed”
Starts your Zap when a payout you sent from Mamo Business does not go through, and hands the next steps the details of that payout so someone can act on it.
New Failed Payment
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new payment has failed.”
Fires each time a customer's payment fails in Mamo Business, so the failure reaches someone instead of sitting unseen in the account.
New Payment Link Created
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new payment is created.”
Reacts when a new payment link appears in your Mamo Business account, whether someone made it by hand or a Zap made it for you.
New Successful Payment
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new payment is successfully captured.”
Goes off when Mamo Business captures a payment successfully. It marks money actually received, which makes it the safest point to record a sale.
New Processed Payout
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new payout is successfully processed”
Signals that a payout has been processed successfully, so the money you sent is on its way to the recipient.
New Failed Subscription
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new subscription has failed.”
Starts a Zap when a subscription charge fails, an event that otherwise stays inside Mamo Business until someone looks.
New Successful Subscription
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new subscription is successfully captured.”
Runs when Mamo Business successfully captures a subscription charge, the recurring counterpart of New Successful Payment.
Mamo Business actions
Mamo Business gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Create Payment Link
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a payment link”
Builds a new payment link in Mamo Business from data an earlier step brought in: a title, an amount and the currency to charge in.
Create Payout
ActionIn Zapier“Sends a new Payout”
Sends money out of Mamo Business to a person or a business, using a name, an IBAN, a reason and an amount taken from earlier steps.
When a Mamo Business Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to Mamo Business and lists no limit specific to the app. What goes wrong is what goes wrong on any Zap, seen from a payments account: three cases.
These are worth knowing before you publish. If a Zap still behaves oddly, our Zapier troubleshooting page is the next stop.
Past payments are never picked up
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Payments, links and payouts that existed before publishing stay out, and moving that history is a separate job.Payment links feeding themselves
A Zap that runs Create Payment Link from New Payment Link Created writes into the place its own trigger watches. It sets itself off again and again and burns tasks fast.A sudden batch held back
When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those items back instead of running the Zap on each one.
